I was dissapointed by the gyros sandwhich. I have had real gyros before back east and in Federal way and Tacoma and this wasnt it!. first of all the meat was dry and not real fresh but the worst part about it was the sauce. it tasted terrible. the worst gyros sauce i have ever had in my life and i have eaten gyros for over 45 years. the lettuce in my salad was fresh and green but they put the same sauce on the salad which ruined the whole salad. they put too much of it on so it was impossible to get it off. TERRIBLE SAUCE. GYROS SPOT you seriously need to learn how to make a real sauce for your gyros. it sucks, really. try to learn from someone who knows how to make it and copy. its seriously the worst stuff i have ever had. it tastes wierd and its not made right. get it right and i will come back. until then i cant go back there, it was that bad. fresh decent salad but bad dressing...

The most recent review of this place is VERY unfair. I LOVE the Gyro Spot. There isnt a lot of places in downtown Olympia that are healthier than eating fast food and taste good. I found the Gyro Spot and it was love at first bite. I always get the Gyro with extra meat and tzatziki. I love the dolmas. I really havent had anything I do not like here. I have tried almost everything. Id check that out and get an even better deal!! The tzatziki is delicious. I make it homemade and it turns out almost the same. I cant get enough of this place. Every payday I come here to get something or another. If you are in downtown Oly and love Mediterrean food...I highly recommend coming here. You wont be disappointed. Dont let one or two bad reviews steer you away. The staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurant always smells amazing. Try it :)

Food - Taste wise, it was everything you could ask for and this is how gyros should be served to the public. Good Gyro and Falafel, and they have many flavors of Jarritos soda. Good atmosphere, friendly employee. And it smells amazing as soon as you walk in! This is Olympia. If you go at night, you will be confronted by homeless people, drunks and street kids looking for money. Its OK, just be prepared. They havent bitten anyone yet. ;) Park on the street. If not, you have to remember to add for parking - the lot in back is a pay lot, but not well marked. Bottom line, this place is good. I will go back. If you are in Olympia, Id definitely check it out!

Excellent gyros, appetizers, and drinks. Dont sweeten the mint iced tea until you try it. Mine was perfect without. Staff was awesome. So was the atmosphere and music. Now for the reason for the lowered rating......dont take your car and park outside. Staff gives noodle cups to hungry homeless teens. They gathered on the street outside and sat on my car hood. I didnt say anything to them, but my car was covered in the noodles and broth when I came out. Windshield, passenger front window and door, roof, trunk, and back bumper. This business is trying to do something good for these kids and they use it to abuse the property of paying customers.

This is THE place to go if you want an excellent gyro or Mediterranean food. They also have a rosewater custard that is just wonderful! The prices are very good for what you get and the food is clean and very VERY delicious! Food aside, the second I walked in the place looked clean, was decorated very tastefully, and smelled amazing! I fell in love the second I walked through the door. The woman at the register knows the menu and what all goes into the food. The cook was singing to the radio while cooking and I automatically felt like the people working there wanted to be there. I very much recommend trying this place out if you havent yet!

The Gyro Spot is my favourite place to get a bite to eat downtown. The restaurant is bright and clean, but it isnt too upscale or fancy. The best part about the Gyro Spot is definitely the gyros. They are everything a gyro should be, and reasonably priced as well. The menu also offers falafel and salads, which are great, but my personal favourite is definitely the lamb gyro. They also have a rewards program that gives you a free gyro for every 10 you buy, which is great for regulars like me who cant get enough. Come here if youre looking for a satisfying, fast lunch that doesnt disappoint.

A good selection available on the menu. The portions are generous and the food is really, really good. The owner is definitely invested in downtown Olympia (this is one of at least two locations he operates, in downtown) and hes got a loyal clientele. The meat in the gyros is sliced a little thick, just how I like it. Some vegetarian items, too. Everything tastes fresh. Even a modest selection of desserts. Nice selection of bottled and canned beverages round out this great-for-lunch-or-a-quick-dinner spot.

Went in today after having a yen for a gyro since recently relocating to Olympia. The gyro was all we wanted and more, great flavor and fresh ingredients. Staff was nice and iced water was available with glasses. Got ours to go and was served quickly. We really enjoyed that the owner/manager was present, getting feed back, he also thanked us on our way out:) we will definitely be returning to this "gyro spot"

I had a great experience!! We came with a crowd so we tried one of everything on the menu. We were pleasantly surprised. Normally, I dont like lamb gyros but I wanted to order another after trying theirs. The falafel was crisp and had a good array of seasoning, not as bland as other places I have tried. I also had the rose water and honey lemonade yumm-o!!! I would definitely go back.

The employees are great and the food is delicious. We felt welcome from the second we stepped through the doors. Any questions we had about the menu and the area were confidently answered with a smile. We were even under a time crunch and they were so thoughtful and accomodating to our needs. And did I mention delicious? Will definitely be a place I frequent.

Best falafels I have had in Oly, baked. Not fried. Fast, friendly service by personable people. Reasonable prices. 6$ for a Gyro, and about a dollar to two for a soda. Two people can get stuffed easily for 20$ or less. Fresh ingredients and the tzatziki was made that day. Be aware though, they are cash only. And have some odd hours, but they are worth it!

Best gyro Ive had! There use to be another restaurant in lacey that served gyro but it doesnt compare to this! I love the food, you get a lot for a decent price. The owners son was a nice kid and was very diligent when focusing on a rush of order. Overall, a nice place for great, classic food.

Whatta yee-row! House made tzatziki, fresh made hummus, warm fresh pita bread, generous meat in the gyro and though I had to wait a little bit for my spanakopita, was worth it with that warm tahini. I moved away from Olympia a few years ago and always hit this joint up when Im in town.

First of all, this place is cash only (seriously, in 2013). The gyro was small for the price and just not that good. My partners falafel was also not that good. The atmosphere of the place is nice and its baby-friendly but not worth it due to the quality of the food.
