My husband and I are retired teachers on an extended road trip from California. We pulled into Tulsa hungry and tired from a long drive. The hotel recommended Villa Ravenna as casual, authentic Italian restaurant, nothing fancy. I was dressed in overalls and my husband was in t-shirt and jeans: clean, but very casual. When we arrived at the restaurant, which was across town from our hotel, we immediately felt underdressed, but the little hostess assured me it was fine and led us to a table. Our waitress obviously felt quite the opposite. When we said we did not want wine, she asked in a tone dripping with disdain if we wanted anything else or just water. I thought I must be imagining this, but her attitude just got colder as we proceeded with the order. My husband asked if he could order spaghetti. She said "No, but I can set you up with the next best thing," which she proceeded to describe. He thanked her, but said he would order the eggplant instead. She replied, "You mean youre not going to order what I just suggested." My husband actually felt manipulated by her pushy tone and changed his order. She asked if we wanted soup or salad and I asked if that was included, because I didnt think it was. I guess that was final proof to her that we were financially strapped and therefore not worth her time. Five minutes later, she practically tossed our plates on the table and, without a word, disappeared until she brought the check. We had to ask another waitress to refill our tea. Meanwhile, our waitress was very attentive to her other tables. I cannot accurately convey how upsetting this experience has been. For the first time in over 30 years, we left no tip. I have never left a bad review on the internet before, but Villa Ravenna appears to be the type of restaurant that wants to ooze class. It takes real class to treat all of your customers with respect, regardless of how they are dressed, or what they order. The food, by the way, was delicious.

VR really goes all-in with the Italian and enocentric feel the moment you hit the door. A marvelous find in the Tulsa area, its a great restaurant for those who want fine dining in this genre of cuisine but do not want to pay Polo prices (which, for the record, Im OK with paying, but not able to do regularly). Spruce up your wine menu with more Italian such as nero davola, negroamaro, barolo, verdicchio, vernaccia di San Gimignano, VNdM, etc., and delight your customers. The biggest swing-and-miss that happened that night was the bread. Considering the vibe that this place strives to have in the middle of Oklahoma (again, bravo to this), the bread was a standard baguette that was pretty insipid and boring. If you are going to do this right, partner up with a bakery in Tulsa (or do it yourself a la Jim Lahey) and get this right. The devil is in the details . . . The pasta delle seppie (misspelled in the menu) was my dish after the dates, those NOT being filled with mascarpone et al. that the menu touted, although they were good (albeit missing a significant component that would have balanced out the unctuousness of the dates and bacon). The pasta was delicious. The following limoncello was delightful, being a limacello maker myself. Great job, and tighten up on the smaller things to make it overall a wonderful respite from the drudgery of mediocre beef-oriented establishments in Tulsa.

My experience with this establishment was sadly not a pleasant one. I ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo thinking it would be delightful, but to my displeasure it was painfully average. The chicken was extremely overcooked and as dry as the Sahara, while the sauce was lackluster and did very little to satiate my palate. I honestly dont know how its possible to ruin a dish as timeless as Fettuccine Alfredo, but they certainly succeeded. The food wasnt the only issue either sadly. The waiters and waitresses were extremely inviting and kind, but managements attitude was completely reprehensible. I was seated where I could see out the windows and an elderly person sat down on one of the benches outside. One of the managers immediately gave a deep sigh and said out loud, "Will someone please go tell that old **** to move. Theyre taking up our customers space." I could barely believe my ears and it wasnt two seconds later that someone went outside and made her leave. It just irritated me seeing them badger someone over literally nothing. It was too hot to even be outside. Anyways eat here if you want. I certainly wont be coming back. Honestly though, Olive Garden has better Alfredo than this place and its not nearly as pretentious either.

A piece of Italy in Tulsa! This is as close as you can get to authentic Italian food. I went there with my wife for our anniversary and this place did not disappoint! From the time we walked in to the time we walked out, we were taken care of. Inside of the restaurant is very cozy and is decorated like you are on the streets of Italy. Even the music was Italian. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable, as well as patient, as it was our first time there and we didnt know what to expect food wise, so we took our time looking at the menu. He checked up on us periodically to make sure we didnt need anything. I have ordered Spagetti Carbonara with added chicken in fettuccine sauce, and my wife ordered Grilled Salmon. I have to say that both dishes were made to satisfy our eyes as well as taste-buds, and satisfy they did! To top our experience, we ordered tiramisu for desert. Although we didnt have a drink, this place has a full wine menu. Everything was FRESH and very GOOD! If you want Italian experience, this is the place to be!

My Wife and me was there yesterday, it was very full and since it was our first time going there we didn’t know that we needed a reservation to get a table, the manager was very good and worked with us and found within 5 min waiting a place for us, that was awesome! The servant was really really good, she knew the complete card and could give us very good advises what to order from the menu, it seemed like she was trained. The food was perfect, I had Wild Boar and my wife had Shrimp Scampi it was delicious, the Boar almost tasted like a place I go to Germany lol. All in all it was a very good experience; I do have to say that the one waitress that served the bread and olive oil seemed to be a little stressed, she just slid the plate on the table and it seemed she tossed the bread. She done the same thing to my neighbor table and the people also didn’t seem to like it; maybe she had a bad day. So if you go there make sure to reserve a table and you will have a grate experience, we defiantly will go back it was awesome!

We went to Villa Ravenna with one of our children and their spouse for a birthday celebration. Villa Ravenna is an excellent choice for a special occasion as the staff always make the guests feel special. They have an excellent menu with a large variety of selections and prices. We have always had first class service and the food is wonderful. They have a nice wine list with good choices at a variety of prices. They have a very limited selection of beer, which I dont view as a negative in a nice Italian restaurant. Villa Ravenna always tends to be busy, especially on the weekend, so I would recommend reservations. Tables tend to be quite close together but it is a quiet restaurant, even when crowded, so conversation is not hindered. A really first class place for dinner.
