On Valentines Day 2017 my mother, sister, daughter and I all went to eat around 5 pm. This is my mothers favorite place to eat and she has been raving about it to my sister and I for years and this was our first time. We LOVE Italian cuisine! We called in advance to make reservations and were told that it was first come, first serve. We didnt ask, but I feel like that would have been the perfect opportunity to let us know that there would be a limited menu. The menu part wasnt a huge deal, except I really wanted a carbonara. We absolutely loved the atmosphere and the service was great. I ended up ordering the "Chicken Oscar" , which was one of the "specials" . It looked amazing on the plate, I took one bite and chewed it up and had to end up spitting it out. It was not good at all, The server cam e to ask how everything was and I had to tell her that I did not like mine at all. She politely said shed go talk to the manager and when she came back she told me that "she said I would still have to pay for it" and that I "could order something else if I wanted but I would also have to pay for that". Im sorry but, excuse me? You want me to sit here and watch everyone else eat their food? And pay for this meal I hate? And its your special? AND the manager (I think was actually one of the owners) should have come to tell me that crappy news herself, instead of sending the server over to tell me...I could tell the server was embarrassed to tell me what the lady said too. If you ask me, that is bad business, and a terrible first impression. I will not be back.

I went to Lo Sole Mio yesterday evening for a wedding dinner and HATED it! The two hosts reserved a room that was located across the street. When I walked in, the place was freezing and the waiters were no were to be found. The dinner was supposed to begin at 7, the waiters did not appear until 7:30. While the table decorations were nice, the (very rude) waiter that brought bread to our table sat the basket too close to the candle and the flame caught the napkin it was sitting on, on fire. When we told her, she very rudely came over and took the bread basket away. When we asked for another one, her response was "I dont think we have any more, but I guess I can check." There were a total of three waiters that were "helping." One with frizzy red hair, the other two with dark short hair. Unfortunately, I did not get their names. I think that because the two hosts paid for our dinner and they werent getting tipped (necessarily) for it, they didnt care about hospitality. They were really unorganized. There were a total of four dishes we were able to choose from, yet it took until 8:15/8:30 for them to even bring them out. The waitresses did not wait until we were done eating to ask if we needed to-go boxes, nor did they ask how the food tasted. Im thoroughly disappointed and do not ever plan to go there again. I live 25 minutes away from this restaurant and feel like my gas was wasted and so was my time. My food was good, but my experience with their waitresses were not. Ick.

My boyfriend and I came here for my birthday last night. We called ahead of time but they dont take reservations. When we arrived there was a party of 8, and three other tables of 4 or 5 people. Unfortunately we were sat right in front of the ladies restroom and the swinging kitchen door. For being so empty they did not have to sit us in the worst spot. We waited a good 10 minutes before someone came to bring us menus and water, and when they got there they didnt even ask for a drink order. Another 5 to 10 minutes went by before they took our drink order and then the same waitress walked past us empty handed 4 times before bringing us our drinks. When we got our drinks she walked away pretty quickly even though we had been ready to order food for a good 20 minutes already. We got there around 8:30pm and didnt get outlets food until 9:45. However the place closes at 10:00 so we got to go boxes and went home because they started cleaning the tables and floors around us as if we couldnt leave fast enough. My chicken piccata was pretty salty but my boyfriend got the cheese tortellini and it was amazing. Unfortunately because of the service and wait time I cant give this restaurant any more stars. We had a 100$ meal ticket with tip and didnt even have time to eat it at the restaurant.

The Romanesque atmosphere, huge family style portions, pasta choices galore and of course garlic .... sign me up. First time visit on date night a few weeks ago. Thursday night right around 5:30PM so it hadnt started to fill up yet, but there was a good crowd by the time we left Make your own oil and pepper dipping sauce to go with the home made bread - but dont fill up or youll be taking home boxes of food like we did - heck, even if you dont eat any bread youll probably be taking home something in a box. The harvarti in the shrimp and harvarti appetizer had great flavor - Id recommend it. I wont make any hard suggestions for your main course - they basically have everything and based on the two meals we had (Gambari Scampi and Cheese Raviolis) Im betting theres no bad choices. Grab a dessert in a box to enjoy once youre back home ... if you eat it there you might fall into a food coma on the ride home. Well certainly be back.

Came here from a recommendation since we are new in town. Brought an out of town guest with us since he requested Italian. The dining room was pretty busy for a Tuesday. The service was average. The young lady seemed to try but just missed the mark a bit for professional upscale service. I expected more from the recommendations and the "look" and family feel of this establishment. She has the tools for great service but needs some polish. Not talking so loud in greeting of table setting, pouring wine to a lady first after offering a taste to host, clearing dishes timely, offering suggestions or daily special. The food was large portions but the taste was good not great. To many choices on the menu to decide from, but I guess that leads us to come back and try another dish. I wouldnt discount this place to eat at but I wouldnt consider this upscale fine dining and it should be.

This place was horrible. This used to be my favorite place to go but no way will I ever again. The food took forever, the chicken tasted like it was spoiled and also when we explained to the waitress very politely we were on business and we would take our food to go, the host then came over and told our waitress in front of us that the other table is way more important than those people while pointing to us. I then called to speak with the owner and she was suppose to call me back and I NEVER HEARD ANYTHING. This truly was the worst customer service and the food was terrible to boot. I will never go back here again and I am suggesting if you are considering a great italian place in omaha there are so many to choose from where you get great service and the food is wonderful.
