First experience here was pretty good. Union72 offers a clean, inviting environment and sufficient menu selection which is very fairly priced. I started with the brisket taco which was; served quickly, presented well and quite flavorful. From there I moved on to trying the pork taco which was also quite good. Due to a coupon on their facebook page, my wife tried The Cali and the Straight Up. Both of which she enjoyed very much. There are a lot of barbecue shops in Tampa, some better then others. This one is, so far, better then many others we tried. Each of the sandwiches on the menu do something more creative then just slop some meat on a bun and drizzle a sauce on it. With numerous sauces to choose from (including an Alabama White Sauce which was new to us), Union72 seems to be trying to distinguish themselves from the pack. Great addition to the Shops at Wiregrass.

I like the idea of this place. Nice look, experience, vibe, etc. The food was just disappointing. Ive tried twice and once was with a friend so I was able to sample quite a bit. I liked the Mac and cheese, the hot sausage, and chopped pork. Everything else was bad (flavorless), cold, or weird. The chicken didnt even seem real? Like spam-like or processed, maybe? Im sure Ive eaten chicken a million times in my life but I was just baffled by this. Management came by and asked for feedback and seemed genuinely concerned about making things right and attempted to. The service and staff have been great. I genuinely wanted to like this place. I may try again some day but Im honestly in no rush.

I expected this place to have a higher rating but I also noticed that the people who left bad reviews seemed to have done that for just about everyone. This place is really cool and its more affordable than most of the restaurants at Wiregrass. I have been there several times and the service has always been outstanding. You order your food at the counter and they bring it to your table. The wait is not long so its a great alternative if you dont feel like waiting to be seated. I have had the brisket platter and last time I ordered the Banh Mi. The sandwich runs for about $10 and it comes with a side of your choice. They were both delicious but I liked the brisket sandwich better.

Not your typical bbq. A little upscale.Good mall location.order first then sit down. A little pricey. Grilled lemonade was odd but pretty good. Will visit again but not with full family. Maybe sauces should be on the tables you dont get much in a little cup. Fried okra was good tasting just a tad crispy and with one bite full piece came out. Need to have one runner/server stay in dining area and one or two behind counter taking orders only. Not the same people doing all the tasks...especially when busy. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable

First time and we were not sure what to ordered. So we went with the Ribs, French Fries and corn on the cob. The tacos sounded delicious so we ordered a brisquet one to try it out! It was soooooo amazing ! We ordered an extra corn on the cob and an extra taco because it was oh so good!! Service was on point, very knowledgeable and attending to our requests! Will def come back! One thing though.. just wished the tacos were on corn soft tortillas!! But still Yum!

My first experience wasnt too bad. The atmosphere was chill, Nice decor, and friendly staff. I had ribs with a side of fries and greens. Ribs were a bit on the expensive side (for what you get) but it was were pretty good. The Spicy sauce on the ribs were unusually tasty. Dont expect too much spice from the "Spicy sauce" though. Its about a 4 out of 10. I wasnt blown away but it was s good experience. I plan on coming back to give their chicken a try.

Been here twice and was pleased both times. The meat is smoked well, the sauce is great, and the sides are all very good too. Cigar city on tap is a plus. A little more pricey than some other joints but its also more of an upscale feel. I would definately come back and recommend it to anyone in the area.

Went once before and it was good. Got takeout tonight and couldnt even eat the wings they were so over cooked - black and really dry! They literally smelled burnt when I open the container. There is no way a cook would have not noticed how burnt they were, and they served them anyway. Very disappointing.

Union72 has an incredible taco bar and selection. We ordered them for a end of month lunch and they actually delivered it on the wrong date but still gave it to us. They definitely have earned 5 stars in my book. Looking forward to actually stopping in with my wife sometime soon.

Had the pulled pork, which was ok, the collard greens, which were interesting, and the fried okra. The okra was fried whole, which made it a cross of fried and boiled. Staff was friendly, but this is a counter service food place that would not be out of place in a theme park.

We had some out of town guest with us this past weekend and decided to all try Union 72 for some BBQ food. The staff was very friendly and nice but the food was mediocre. The better half of our table was served cold food and it tasted bland. We will not be returning.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND UNION 72⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Awesome Chef and staff. Food was out of this world! Very Clean restaurant and very friendly staff! We will be back! My husband and I had lunch there and loved it so much we ordered take out for our children and BOY WERE THEY HAPPY!

Sad to say but they just sent gave 3 of my boys raw chicken fingers. Still cool on the inside. Be sure when you place an order to check the kids chicken fingers. My oldest ate an entire one before I noticed the color and blood vaines on the other one.

Delicious BBQ and sauces! I was a little disappointed that they took their fried okra off the menu, but their collard greens and corn were fantastic! I would also like to have had a piece of bread (maybe garlic Texas toast) with my meal.

Their decor is very trendy, making the eating environment fun and very sanitary however I was disappointed in the food quality. It was not bad food, but it was in small portions and a litter overdone. Overall not very impressed.

Ive been here multiple times and also had it delivered, and the food and service have been amazing. The portions seem just fine and the taste is great! The Nach-Yos are fire!!! Definitely recommend to at least try it out.

Expensive, but to be expected at a mall location. Maybe its just the style of bbq or maybe its just me, but on both occasions the chicken seemed bland. Disheartening but Ill probably give it one more try. Good service.

This place is the bomb. The sauce is awesome. Mac and cheese so good. Meat slow cooked and wings were fall off bone!!! Def. worth the $$$. Very clean and craft sodas are fun to try too!

Food was cold and servers did not know the menu or ingredients. The portions were also small. I was really hoping for these guys to do well!
