My friend Tawana, my Aunt Joyce, and I stopped at the Barnyard barbecue in early July, 2013. I spotted the name Tincher on the sign out front and knew I must be related. Sure enough it was owned by Crystal Tincher, a relative I had not seen in a long time. The food, the atmosphere, the uniqueness of the interior and furnishings were tops. The story behind the story made my day. Crystal took the time to introduce me to friends and extended family. She impressed me with her business savvy and hard work. She gave me a tour and history of the building. We shared stories of family experiences. WOW Crystal, you are amazing and I admire you for everything you have accomplished. We will stop by on our next trip to WV from Florida. Oh, I almost forgot the pies....yum,yum. I have heard that some of my Yoder relatives from Pt. Pleasant have come by. We all rate the Barnyard BBQ with five stars, a ten, or an A plus. They all mean the same thing......fantastic. Thanks for everything. Patsy Tincher Anderson.

First experience was the worst experience!!!!! The only good thing was our waitress whom was amazing! We were still eating and come to find out (after I ask who she was) THE OWNER of all people walked over to my table and took the sauces one by one and gave them to the next table without asking if I was finished! Then as shes walking out she ask me do you need something? What!?! Everyone at my table not only were district managers for restaurants or a boss for another company but I myself worked in the restaurant business for 10+ years! She is rude and obviously if she cant handle owning a restaurant she needs to shut it down! If she treats customers that way, Im curious to see how she treats her employees! Possibly why her business seemed a little slow on a Friday evening!?! Never have I ever been so pissed I felt the need to publicize it!

This place has nice decor and a friendly staff. It has a large smoker out in front which provides some fantastic aromas. Too bad the beef and pulled pork and baby back ribs didnt match the aromas. It tasted like an under-smoked amateur attempt. There was no flavorful "rind" or smoke ring found on the meat we ordered. The consistency of the pork was mushy and the consistency of the beef was dry. To be fair, I went back a second time with my daughter. She loved the hot dogs she ordered. They did look good. My French Dip sandwich on the other hand was somewhat lame. The meat and au jus were acceptable but the portion of meat on the sandwich would leave a 6th-grader still hungry. I just didnt see any value here.

This is the worst BBQ I have ever eaten. The sauce is absolutely horrific. Its a strange concoction that tasted like really bad ketchup. The mustard base tasted like yellow mustard with ketchup added. The vinegar wasnt too bad as it was mostly vinegar and nothing else. Unfortunately, they slathered their "house blend" all over the sandwich which made it unpleasant to eat. Sides looked like they came out of a can and were served cold like other reviews stated. Its a shame as it was a nice looking place and smelled good walking in the door. I should have known better when the meringues in the cases were over-baked and the place almost empty that this wasnt going to be a pleasant dining experience.

Voted Best BBQ in the Valley. This place smokes all their meat (pork, chicken, brisket) to tender, delicious goodness! Staff is friendly & helpful. As the name suggests, the theme here is country/barnyard. Live entertainment on Friday & Saturday nights. Diverse menu & one of very few places to serve collard greens. Try the party pack - serves four people, with choice of 1 lb. of pulled meat, coleslaw, 1 lb. side (I recommend Red Skin Potato Salad), & 12 pack of slider buns. Only drawback? Only one BBQ Sauce choice. Otherwise would be a 5 Star rating.

So I called Barnyard about catering my father in laws 67th surprise birthday. Typically I would do all the cooking for our gatherings but unfortunately due to a back injury I needed to find someone to help but it was such short notice. None of us had ever ate at Barnyard BBQ. The beef brisket, potato salad, slaw, bakes beans, and brownies were amazing!! I am still eating leftovers 2 days later...i cant get enough. Needless to say we will definitely call Barnyard for our future catering events. Thank you Crystal for making it happen!!!

Please heed the 1 star reviews...wish I had but I wanted some brisket so I decided to give it a try....what I got was roast beef with very little flavor and it had been no were near a smoker...my wife got the ribs and couldnt eat them...both items looked like they had been boiled or fixed in a regular oven....If you are looking for real bbq you wont find it here. I will give 5 stars to the waitresses as they was very nice. Note to owners: please take a vacation and go down South and visit some real bbq joints for some help.

The place was cute the waitress was nice and the appetizers were good but when it came to the food it was horrible. We got the 2 can dine meal which was a sampling of all the BBQ plus 4 sides. The sides were bland and flavorless and the pasta salad specifically tasted old. The meat wasnt good and the chicken especially was so dry we could barely get it swallowed. Will never return. The waitress could tell we were unhappy since almost all of our food was still left on the plate and only gave us 15 percent off.

The good was mediocore, at best. The "salad" was some dry shredded chicken, on top of a couple of handfuls of very wet iceberg lettuce, along with one slice of tomato, a couple of cucumber slices and a couple of onion slices. The pie was nasty. The one mixed drink I ordered, Capt and diet coke was a flat diet coke with NO discernable taste of rum.

Second time here. Second was better than the first. I had pulled pork platter. It was decent. Not warm enough. Sauce was disappointing. I was shocked if was already on the sandwich. Mac and Cheese side was good. So were the corn fritters. The veggie pasta salad was OK. Server was very friendly.

Very disappointing...ordered platter. Meat with some sauce squirted on top of it like ketchup. Cole slaw was fine but small portion. Red potatoes turned out to be potato salad but the menu doesnt have it listed as a salad. Definitely would never order again. Expensive, 12.00, for sub standard food.

Both my side items (corn and baked beans) seemed to come from a can. Baked beans are pretty much a quality staple of a BBQ joint; not even close. I had the pulled pork and my wife the chicken and were both disappointed. The beer was good, but of course, they didnt make the beer.
