I had seen the place before and always wanted to go in, but when I finally did, I was treated very poorly.The experience went something like this. To preface this, there were people at two different tables. Thats it. I walked in and nobody greeted me so I seated myself, not an issue but a little confusing with no sign to tell me to do so. Then an frowning lady walked over and asked me what I wanted to drink. I order water and she brings it. Maybe shes just having a bad day. I proceeded to glance at the menu and was suprised at the prices. Ten dollars for a sandwich at a small mom and pop joint, a little strange but I was willing to give it a shot. I chose what I wanted and sat waiting for her to come take my order. I sat for another 15 minutes waiting for her before I finally decided to leave. I would have waited longer but i had somewhere to be. What a waste of my time.

My husband and I brought our friends there. They are getting a kitchen remodel and my husband and I told them how we always have great service and great food. Well our experience was not as it should have been. The waitress was young blonde hair in ponytail. Seemed impatient with us, and when she brought our food she kept bringing everything else. Imagine a 4 top with 4 dinners and deserts and boxes all at the table at the same time. Now usually a waitress waits for you to finish your main course then brings out a box for any leftovers, then brings out the customers deserts. Our table was so full we could not even eat comfortably. I felt she wanted to get rid of us to do other things. After everything was placed on the table she didnt come back to ask if we even wanted refills. If this was our first visit, you would never see us again.

Would call it a solid 3.8 for breakfast and 4.4 for lunch. Its simple. No Frills. Simple layout. My daughter loves the pancakes. I got the egg and sausage patty breakfast and thought that it was a good meal. Plenty of kids here for breakfast. Plenty of senior citizens too so its a nice mix. Cant say I love the coffee. They do have a great hamburger. All their sandwiches are good. It is a kinda throw back place. Simple choices and no frills. Located right across the street from Westgate Mall. The place has a loyal following. I like the place but foo foo foo foo foodies may look down on it as being too simple. They really should try the burger first.

I understand that this restaurant is an institution in Rocky River and that people love it. However, I was treated so rudely by them this morning by phone, that I will never eat there. After being given the runaround, I was told they were busy, did not have time to talk to me and that I should never call again. And then they hung up on me. I dont care if you have 25 people waiting in line, you NEVER EVER speak to a customer or potential customer like that. Absolutely 100 percent inexcusable. And yes, I have worked in the restaurant and customer service industry and would never even dream of treating someone like that.

I have been going to Rustic for 15 year and always been happy with the food and service. Today I went up there with my son and it was horrible. The server was rude. The chairs were filthy and the carpet was gross. I watched the servers walk by tables and toss straws on the tables. Also our server picked up a straw from the floor and put it in her apron to give to a customer. I asked to talk to a GM and he had no idea what to do. Also the cashier had short shorts on with tattoos. Very unprofessional. No servers had name tags on.. This place use to be good, not so much now...

I was just asked to get up and leave while conversing with my family after only being there for an hour and 5 minutes because another larger party came in. This happened when there were only maybe 5 other tables taken. Absolutely ridiculous. Poor customer service too. Waitress was not knowledgeable, which led to a meal getting taken back due to health reasons and two of us having to order something else because they ran out. I highly do not recommend this restaurant!

I was really impressed by the Rustic. I had lived in the area my whole life and driven past here countless times without ever stopping in. When I finally did I was really impressed by the food and staff. I still havent been back, but thats just habit versus experience. Writing this makes me want to stop back, now that I think about it. Recommended!

We had the Riegelsburger. It was supposed to be 1/3 of a pound....it was not even close to that! It was 2 very thin patties - similar to what you would get at burger king. It was to have american cheese on it....it was not real cheese - it was processed something....kinda like cheese whiz. For almost $6.00 - it was a a total waste.

My bacon tasted like gas. Small portion. My husband wasnt impressed We had breakfast, so IDK about the other food. But for the price of $18 for 2 people to have bacon eggs hash brown and toast. Plus a tip, We should have been stuffed. Hash browns were like mashed potatoes. Will never return.

Ive been eating here for years. Everything Ive eaten has always been very good. While I almost always get the Rieglesburger the chicken paprikash and chicken pot pies are great as well.

Its basically a diner. Flo will take your order. Food is ok. Wont blow you away but ok. Had ribs. Fine but wouldnt get again. Heard breakfast is way to go. Its about what youd expect.
