Quaint and pleasant in on Main St in downtown Mount Vernon about two blocks south of the Square, located between Paragraphs Bookstore and the MVNU Art Gallery. Lots of owner-made tables from re-purposed wood with lots of space to spread out, several places along the wall and counter to plug in. Metal chairs are okay. Theres also a little reading around with more comfortable chairs, could use maybe a two-seat couch to go with the small bookshelf--not sure if its leave-one-take-one, though. The coffee is excellent, locally sourced and possible to sample the best roasters in Columbus. Sometimes, there will be a poetry club or open mic. The only problem is limited later evening hours, but this is true for all of Mt Vernon. Full disclosure: my son is a barista here.

Good coffee, many hot and cold drink options, tasty pastry offerings, pleasant servers. I attended a poetry reading in a room just off the main coffee room and the atmosphere was very pleasant. Young people at the tables were quiet and respectful of the poets and listeners in the next room. Nice place to grab a coffee to go or sit and have some coffee and a pastry.

Had the pleasure of visiting Happy Bean Coffee as my wife and I were walking around Mount Vernon. I love the atmosphere, and the service was quick and friendly. Coffee was great, too. The cup my brother selected had a wonderful blueberry taste to it. I liked their coffee so much I bought a bag of dark roast beans to give those a try!

Its nice that there is finally a real coffee house in Mount Vernon. They have great roasts and menu options. I highly recommend if you are searching for a good cup of coffee try them out. Or you could just go to speedway and continue making poor life choices.

Good coffee. The food options are extremely limited; when I was there last month there were only donuts available. This is a place that is still getting its feet on the ground, but it has great potential.
