Decided to give this place a try after going back to the owners other restaurant (Damons Bar & Grill). Sadly, Dissapointed again. The employees were loud & rude. Granted, I could tell some of there guests were regulars and maybe they felt comfortable talking to them with no filter but what about new guests? The decor was very bland and boring. The food was "okay" but nothing worth being excited over. At least the prices are cheap.

This cafe is inside an auction center. Food is excellent and surprisingly elevated for a NY diner atmosphere. Staff is fast and efficient, but it can be difficult to get a table at certain times of day because it is SO popular and the dining room is small. Dont miss the cream puffs!

Great food! We order from them a lot for take out at work and many times they mess the order up. But the food is always great. Wish they would stop using styrofoam containers. Makes the food soggy when you get take out. And not good for the environment. Cardboard is much better

This is the best kept secret in Newark. The food is always GREAT! The service is second to none! My bride ( of 40 years) and I have become regular patrons, coming in 2 or 3 times per week. Kudos to Jason, Katrina and staff for making each visit fulfilling.

I had brunch and the Big Apple Cafe a few weeks ago and it was amazing! The service was fantastic and the crab cake eggs benedict was delicious. I wish I had saved room for a cream puff because they looked amazing. I will definitely be back!

I had the fancy French toast. I wouldnt order it again. Too rich. Too much. It was good, but not good enough to justify the calories. Shrug. Glad I ordered once, but not again. Others enjoyed their meals. Prices are reasonable.

One of my local favorites for getting lunch. I have tried about everything on the menu all are good but my favorites are BLT, chop salad or Japanese chicken skewers. Also has good fries for vinegar if your into that.

I got the 4 slice French toast, with the bacon add on. Everything tasted great, and the staff were really friendly. I do think $2.25 is a bit much for 3 slices of bacon though
