so disappointed! Let me start by saying we used to LOVE to visit Bite, we have been there at least a 1/2 dozen times since our neighbors turned us on to this place. So you ask, why the change of heart... Tonights experience was pathetically disappointing. My sausage & caramelized onion flatbread appetizer (which was delicious) came out followed about a minute later by my lobster mac & cheese side dish, both hot but I could not enjoy my flatbread appetizer... so I took my time and the lobster mac was cold by the time I finished the flatbread. Who serves the side dish with the appetizer when I havent even had my salad??? So I get the lobster mac & cheese to go. Time goes by with no food and then the salad shows up with a great Curry Molasses Vinegarette dressing, I take one bite and my whole Trout arrives about 30 seconds later... really, why did you not bring me the salad in the time when there was no food? So I now inhale my salad only to find that my whole Trout is now cold...ARGH!!! So disgusted at this point, I got my fish to go. Something has changed at Bite, the timing was off, the waitress never came back with replacement napkin after my fantastic flatbread and the bread I inquired about purchasing to take home (they sell loaves to go) was never mentioned again. The food was still delicious, but is not worth it, if it comes at the wrong time and is then cold by the time you get to it. The quaint intimacy seems to be gone... the wait staff seems to have been stolen from a Chilis and there was little concern about our experience from anyone even when we told two staff members. Needless to say, this restaurant is now off our radar. If you go be sure to tell them the order in which you want your food and that you would like to finish each course before proceeding on to the next :(

This place....I was super excited to try it since they grow a lot of their own produce and I love to support restaurants that do that. And I read so many positive reviews that I was encouraged. Even when I arrived to see the odd little house with the small garden in front, I just laughed. I knew my husband would start voicing his concerns that we had just driven 35 minutes to check out another crazy, foodie place on my list. We all ordered burgers. My husband and my friend both did create-your-own and I did the burger with pulled pork. My friend said her burger was the best shes ever had. And my husband seemed pretty happy with his choice. But I have to say that other than the generous portion, I was underwhelmed. My burger and pulled pork were very under seasoned. Even the cheese goodness that was melted on top couldnt do enough for the lack of flavor. Its very possible that I simply tried the wrong dish. Im absolutely willing to believe that they have other dishes that are absolutely awesome. But unfortunately, I live pretty close to downtown and this is a part of town I rarely have an excuse to be in, so I doubt Id make the drive just for this place. However, if there is a time when I happen to be in these parts, Id be totally willing to give it another shot.

I had been looking forward to trying this palce for a while, and sadly was not impressed. It took our server FOREVER to get to us to even take drink and appetizer order (15 mins), then to take our food order (over 30 mins), and the restaurant was only about half full. And this is a place of only 10 tables. I had to wait numerous times for my water to be refilled. The food was decent, but not what I would expect for such a so-called "foodie" place. I heard other tables complimenting their food so we might have just ordered less than stellar examples, however the ribs we ordered were well below average, and the pork chops were slightly overcooked (but still pretty good). I did like the brown rice and cheesy grit sides, but nothing I tried I would go back for. Let me note that I am not one that looks for the organic and gluten free lables they are big about advertising, so if you are into that stuff, go for it. I will probably take my stomach to someplace else next time.

Easily the best restaurant weve ever been to. Almost everything is organic, home grown, or locally sourced, and lots of vegan, vegetarian, and gluten sensitive options. They dont serve alcohol, BYOB, which I think is a great idea. All of the food we tried was incredible, including the brie flatbread, meat sampler, tempting salad with blueberry maple salmon (asked for medium rare, came out PERFECTLY cooked) lobster mac (would have liked more lobster). I had the whole fish which was pomano today, the skin was delightfully crispy and flavor and texture of fish was superb. I had kale chips and cheesy grits, both enjoyable, my companions had the Rueben and pork chops. For dessert we had the chocolate cake, (very decadent) and th volcano hot chocolate which was very satisfying. We had a fantastic experience here and look forward to coming back soon!

This used to be a place I really enjoyed for a specific reason: its amazing curry. The curry has been changed in formulation since the beginning of 2017; no longer enjoyable for me or other people I know. It has been changed to become watered down and thin, almost like water; and is no longer spicy; even at level 8. The flavor that once sold me on this restaurant is gone. Portion of rice, has seemingly been changed as well. This is a small restaurant; so some variation is understandable. At this point I will no longer recommend this restaurant. When mentioning the changes; both in consistency and formulation of curry; was met with warm resistance. I dont try to become the customer that complains. The servers politeness was the only reason this post did not reach 1 star.

Fun, friendly, farm-to-table experience. We parked in the back so you pass the fresh veggie gardens walking up the driveway. We enjoyed the entire meal including the BYOB (they serve water and sodas if you dont want to bring your own drink). Between my husband and I we tried: swamp witch dry rub chicken wings, brined pork chops with mashed potatoes and blue cheese coleslaw (an excellent side with the pork), ribeye with mushrooms and onions, a seasonal salad, and the lobster mac n cheese. Everything was delicious. If I had to get a repeat it would definitely be the mac n cheese; otherwise, Id love to try the rest of the menu.

Holy cow, this restaurant was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!! When my wife and I set out on our date night, she drove me about 30 minutes away, passed a Holtman Donut shop, and parked in what looked to be a run down single family ranch. The parking lot was packed and we walked up to the front door, and I expected to find a crowded, greasy spoon. I was absolutely amazed at the quality of food. From the appetizers (shrimp and alligator), to the salads, to the meal (I had a salad with chicken), I was licking each plate, and just had to take some dessert home. Sorry Donuts! I cant wait to go back again!

My fiancé always make a special trip here at least once a week, even if its out of our way! Everything weve had here has been amazing. The yogi salad is SO good and the apple crisp and nut scramble is one of the BEST desserts I have ever had. Everyone that works there is very nice as well. Make sure to make a reservation on the weekend! Supporting local businesses is important to us and I love how this place offers both local and organic food. Im very excited we found this place and look forward to many more visits!
