"Safe" dining with a punch. What I admired most about the menu at this establishment was the selection of hot sauces that one could add to their order. There were more than 15 to select from, ranging in scoville units. The dressings that I selected perfectly complimented my Asian Salmon Bowl. Our server went above and beyond to make sure that our table had what it needed and even brought us a handful of twizzlers, free of charge. My experience at Quaker Steak & Lube was one of the better experiences that Ive had at a corporate chain restaurant. I personally feel as if this particular location goes above and beyond to add creative flair to its menu and atmosphere, which most chain restaurants dont place a lot of emphasis on. I also really appreciated the diverse selection of seafood and vegetarian options, which was honestly a pleasant surprise. Quaker Steak & Lube is perfect for tailgaiting parties, groups of friends and a perfect pit-stop for a late night snack on the patio. If youre looking for a chain restaurant with safe but creative selections and an interior with a whole lot of sassy flair, Quaker Steak & Lube is a great option.

I held a surprise party for my boyfriend this past weekend at the Quaker Steak and Lube in Mentor, Ohio. They did a wonderful job! Everyone was well pleased and we had such a wonderful time. They were extremely professional from the time I contacted them until the party finished. Everything was delicious and well-prepared. Frank, was the one who was managing the party and he did a great job. He was on top of getting drinks/refills for everyone, making sure the food was warm and if more food was needed, and he kept the tables clutter free of dirty dishes. The prices were reasonable. I couldnt believe I was not charged for the room the party was in. The food, facility, and service were superb. The next time I have a party I will have it through your Quaker Steak and Lube. They demonstrated such confidence and it was so well planned. It was such a memorable time that we will never forget!

This Quaker Steak has started to lag behind others with their quality and service. The lunch buffet used to be reliable and enjoyable but recent changes have not been positive. The boneless wings are not Quaker Steak boneless wings but instead are junk leftover pieces of chicken that are tough and dry. They no longer leave bottles of sauce out on the buffet and it seems like most of the options are the same every day instead of being themed by day. The service has been lackluster during our last several visits. Our server often disappears for long periods of time and the restaurant is not usually busy. This is my local restaurant and Ive been going to The Lube regularly since 98 but I think the Mentor location has finally lost my business. I would rather drive to Erie or Hermitage.

If I could rate a negative star I would. We came in at 1pm so it wasnt busy but had to wait on the hostess. Ordered a lemonade for my 6 yr old and the waiter brought it in a regular glass which we spilled. I had to clean it up and ask another server for a cup of water in a kids cup. I ordered coffee and didnt get a refill until I asked ANOTHER server for it. Had to ask for a box from another server as well. The food wasnt that great and the price did not reflect the quality, too much $. Definitely on the do not return list. So sorry because it was our favorite place

Carry out has a hard time getting the orders packed with everything they come with. Nothing more frustrating than getting all the way home and finding incomplete orders and knowing how much money you spent on them. Wings are really inconsistent, most of the time very dry with hardly any sauce on hot wings. Manager did credit $5 off a $9 appetizer that didnt come with any dipping sauce. He really should have just credited the entire appetizer as $9 is not worth losing a regular customer or getting a negative review.

Ive been here twice, and while I would give the flavor of the food 5-stars, they could really work on cleanliness. I realize it must be difficult keeping menus and tables clean when people are eating sticky wings and ribs with their fingers. Everything felt sticky on our most recent visit. My sister-in-law took a napkin to wipe off the stickiness and after doing so, held it up and it was BLACK with dirt. (A little hot water, soap and bleach could really help the tables and plastic coated menus!)

FIRST AND LAST TIME TRYING THIS CHAIN! Food took way too long to be served. Two of three cooked meals had to be sent back. The manager brought one of the recooked meals to the table to make sure it was correct but didnt bother to apologize for the issues. Service was fair as empty cups sat on the table waiting to be refilled. I only gave this restaurant one star because there wasnt an option for ZERO!

I know that some people love this place and chain of restaurants, but the few times weve visited...well, the food quality and taste fell short and we left disappointed. The place could use a thorough cleaning. The only bright spot was the wait staff. The service had always been satisfactory to great, unfortunately the food, decor, and dining environment was not.

The food was AWESOME!!! We had the 4-wheeler, mango habanero shrimp tacos, and my husband did the atomic wing challenge. Everything was loaded with flavor. I absolutely enjoyed my first trip to Quaker Steak and cant wait to return! Updated to add that I recently tried the Kentucky bourbon wings and they are AMAZING!

Went here during lunch time. There was no hostess to show us where to sit. It took at least ten minutes for a waitress to come to our table to even order. We had the buffet salad and soup bar which was not very high quality. Ordered wings and the texture was good but there wasnt enough sauce.

Worst ever. Dont go to the drive thru if you want an order close to what you ordered or if you want your full order. Worst employees and probably because the management is horrible too. Go somewhere else if you want a stress free meal or even just want what you ordered.

Our waitress was not attentive, the flavors of wings were just okay, had hard time finding a flavor that our group liked. Waitress added food to our order we didnt order plus there prices were higher then other wing places. I will not go back any time soon.

Very disappointed at my most recent visit. This had been my favorite place since they opened in this area. The food was just so-so. My entire party of 8 all felt like it was a waste of money. Our server was ok, but a little over the edge. Wont go back.

I LOVE Quaker steak and lubes wings. The wings are very tender and the sauces are second to none the best Ive ever tasted. Especially Thai R cracker and tequila lime BBQ. I will say I love these wings but if you dont like wings you may be let down
