My husband and I went here about 7pm on Friday night. In the edge of a strip mall this place looks just like a hole in the wall bar. We decided to give it a try. Inside was devided into a bar on one side and a very small restaurant on the other. We stood there for 3-5 minutes before being sat in the last empty table-12 tables max! All of the waitresses and the hostess were very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. There was a lot of selections from steaks, prime rib, fresh fish, and sea food. I ordered a new your strip, salad, baked potato, and green beans with a cup of French onion soup. The steak had little fat, was tender, and cooked to perfection, but lacked flavor- I salted it and used steak sauce and was pleased. Green beans were from a can with no seasoning at all- again, a little salt and pepper- but could be better. Baked potato was good but not a lot of butter and sour cream- I added more this afternoon for lunch. French onion soup was deliciously flavored, full of onion, and the bread was tasty. Only way it could be better is more cheese- but there was a good amount- I am not complaining. I took bread pudding home. It was thick and a generous portion. It was just Okay. I like mine with raisins and a little softer, but their sauce was to die for. The place was well lit, yet not bright, cozy, impressively clean (including the bathroom), and the temperature was set just right. My husband ordered the same as I but instead of water he had a glass of wine, and he passed on dessert. Our bill was only $70. Thats amazing for 14 ounce New York strip steaks with little fat. We will surely be back to try the ribs.

I travel all over the country for a living and eat out all the time. I avoid chains and look for the local favorites. This place was as down home as it comes!! Service was amazing and the food was off the charts. Asked the owner what he recommended and of course the house favorite is the ribs. They were fall off the bone good with a perfectly cooked baked potato. The toss up for my favorite is between the ribs and the homemade raspberry vinaigrette dressing on the fresh salad with homemade croutons. You cant go wrong eating at this hidden treasure with hometown charm. Thanks for a great night and Go Steelers!!

Never even heard of this place till I get a coupon from JBDollar (I think it was JBDollar) which you have to use within a year even though the coupon itself does not have an expiration date. The onion rings were the best I have ever had which are very crispy. The ribs were really good, they fell right off the bone. Cant seem to think of anything to complain about except their lemonade was out that night which happens. The atmosphere in the dining area made me feel like I was in a very classy place. There is another room with a bar like atmosphere if you are into that. I like this place and will return.

Have been going to the Rib Cage for years. We tried to take friends there to celebrate and we were very disappointed. The food was terrible. The chicken parm was straight up Ragu and the Filet was small and bad. We should have taken the hint when we were the only people in there on a Sat. night. The prices have almost doubled which would be O.K. but the quality went the other way. Even the drinks! They charge top dollar and put it in a smaller glass. Too bad. Dont believe the Blade writter. It is such a shame since you used to have to wait to be seated.

waited for 90 min for our meal made reservations a wk earlier they had the wrong time of arrival and our pre ordered meals were not even started nor did they have one of the meals in stock. owner mgr blamed the waitress but we know who screwed this up. but to make it worse after the owner was confronted he disappeared till we left. not one offer of apology or comp 1 meal of 10. will never go there again

One of our party had prime rib which was done as ordered & was very tasty & tender. Two of us had ribs, twice-baked potato and creamed corn, all excellent. The corn is a recipe Id love to have. Portions were generous, service was top-notch, food stayed hot throughout our dinner. We will all definitely return and recommend to others. Kudos to the new owner & staff.

Over priced, poor quality food. Half of my $16 steak sandwich was fatty and the onion peddles were over cooked. My husband hardly had any spaghetti with his veal. Very disappointing! It was our first and last trip there!

Since the new owners took over the atmosphere is much more relaxed and enjoyable. The food is still as great as ever and their prime rib is the best in Toledo.
