Remember growing up in the 70s, and the place around the corner from your sports field that sold soft server out of a window in a shed? And how youd beg your mom and dad to take you there EVERY time you passed it? Well, its still alive and well in the Loveland Dairy Whip. When we go, its a family outing, everyone piles into the minivan (dont judge me!), gets ice cream, and sit on the retaining wall kicking our legs back and forth, with ice cream and toppings all over our faces and dripping down our hands. Great summer afternoon treat. Great place, great staff, very mellow relaxing vibe. Tons of families and every youth sports team you can think of. You cant go back to your childhood, but you can take your kids there to visit.

Nice little ice cream place with a typical small town feel. They have cones, sunades, and parfaits, and the staff are friendly. We ordered a hot caramel cake (without whipped cream), and it was delicious - with the soft and creamy icecream slowly melting over a slice of warm cake, all topped with sauce. We also had a regular chocolate cone, which was smooth and creamy, but felt it could have been a little more chocolatier :) They have picnic tables all around, where you can sit and eat the icecream, and also have a drive-through window if you want to order from the car.

I dont know what it is about the soft serve sold here but the ice cream is so creamy and delicious. Turn it into a parfay or make it a crunch coat in a cone and youve got a delicious dessert perfect for a summer evening.

Love local businesses, and this one is fun! They have little eyeball sprinkles for the kiddie cones, and they have displays showing what their different menu items look like. Good stuff!
