Absolutely horrible, the wait staff was literally fighting and swearing at each other. The sign clearly stated family friendly. If you want to watch a mma fight Litchfield style between desperate housewives this is your place. If your looking someplace to enjoy a nice meal with a young child you need to stay far away. We sat down and were instantly greeted with horrible attitudes then the staff literally started cussing eachother out and Im pretty sure the got physical as I escorted my family out

Home cooked meals? Why does everyone just assume these diners are "home cooked"?The place was packed which is normally a good sign so we had to park in the back. As Im walking past the dumpster which was over flowing with trash and a bag was ripped open and trash all over the parking lot theres a large can of sausage gravy ready to just heat up. So needless to say I didnt order anything other sausage gravy. I had a omelette and is was so loaded with oil I couldnt eat it.

I try to sample all the small diners, cafes, and independent restaurants when we go out. This one might be the worst. Its just gross. The place is dirty. The food was horrible. The amount of flies in this place was almost unbearable. The last thing was the conversation that was going on in the back was beyond unprofessional.

We loved the Hungry Bear!!! There were five of us in the party and we all had a great lunch! The food was freshly made, good home made food. Service was great and the waitress was exceptional! If you are near Litchfield be sure to stop in for a meal! We plan on returning, especially when we are hungry! Try the pie! Great!!

when my son and I go deer hunting we look forward to our trip around noon to The Hungry Bear. The staff is always friendly, the food is great! Also the prices are very reasonable. We eat there every year for gun week. wish I lived closer, I would be a regular.

Our experience here was horrible. The waiter was so rude and our total was around 10 dollars, with a five dollar tip and she told us that quote "our family thanks you for your nothing" . I thought that was extremely rude. I dont think I will go there again.

I have been to this restaurant three times now and every time it seems to get better! They have very good coffee and there papa bear skillet is out of this world especially if you get the home fries well done!! I highly recommend this restaurant.

The food was very good, but the service from the staff was lacking. It took 10 minutes to get menus. The waitress was inattentive to us and basic instructions werent followed. I would consider going again for take out.

All home cooked food! Many Breakfast favorites,but the biscuits & sausage Gravy are worth the trip! Gets really busy after 10:00AM on Sunday s due to huge Litchfield Outdoor flea market 2- minutes away on RT 18.
