Do not let the exterior fool you. This modest little family-run restaurant has excellent Vietnamese cuisine, served with friendly hospitality in a pleasant atmosphere. The portions are HUGE, for a very reasonable price, so be prepared to take some home with you, or bring the family. The menu is vast, with options for every taste. The lovely elder lady running the place took the time to help us learn our way around things, like a proper mom. The spicing was just right, nuanced, not overpowering. The homemade sauces were excellent. This was our first time there, having read good reviews, and we will definitely return.

THEY DO NOT USE BANH PHO -====Banh pho are noodles made from rice flour. In countries other than Vietnam, they are called chantaboon or rice sticks. ideal banh pho are those made fresh. These Vietnamese noodles are flat and white, When banh pho is cooked, its soft and chewy, and its appearance translucent. FAKE PHO The people were wonderful. The product coming out of the kitchen, fools the Novice PHO lover Michael - Mar 10, 2010 The place is dirty! Visited it once - never again! The place is dirty, the food is bland. . ----------------------------- Mytastebuds - Aug 18, 2011 1 out of 5 stars

We went last fall and were greeted by Hung who was so gracious that were returning this week just to speak with him. And eat some great food, of course! Hung told us that he had just recently arrived in Ohio and was looking forward to seeing snow for the first time. He was most helpful in helping us choose from the menu and when we we were departing, he held the door for my wife and helped her into the car. She is disabled and has never been treated with this much kindness at any restaurant. Now you know why we were so impressed and cant wait to go back. Did I mention that we loved the food?

I love this place! Every time Im there I get (as an appetizer) a fried spring roll, then for my entree I get number 86 which is basically noodles with vegetables, fried spring rolls, and fish sauce that has carrots in it. I introduced my friends to that place and Ive been a loyal customer for over five years and have gotten the same thing every time and have NEVER gotten tired of it. Overall this has to be my favorite restaurant in the whole world even though the outside doesnt look as nice.... Looks can be deceiving. :)

Quaint and very charming, this little restaurant came highly recommended by a friend who makes it a point to take his family there each time theyre in the Dayton area. I, too, recommend this place with the confidence that you will enjoy it as much as I do. Service is quick yet non-intrusive, making it a nice meal out for myself and I imagine families, also. You cannot go wrong with the soups. When in doubt: ask. Theyre always a joy to listen to when describing their various dishes.

Do not be dissuaded by the appearance of the restaurants facade: I couldnt care less how it looks when the food is fantastic. The taste and quality of the crispy rolls, soft shrimp rolls with peanut sauce, crispy noodles with chicken in sweet brown sauce, and garlic beef with onion, were all fantastic. Yes, it was a two-appetizer and two-entree lunch for me, and I dont regret it in the least. The portions are not massive, but the dollar to yum ratio is spot on. Enjoy!

The male servant was very rude! We came in with good spirits and he tried his best to break us down. He was extremely rude. I wanted to walk out but my Caucasian guy friend was taking it in good cheer. Food tastes like posion! Very sad I had to pray to Jesus just in case he tried to poison us. It was horrible yall. Please if you can read this pray for him to be saved and good to mankind. The lady came in later and she was nice.

This place is amazing and the owners are the nicest cutest down to earth people ever. We have been looking for a great Pho restaurant but they always fall short this place was fabulous. She also had us try a shrimp spring roll in peanut sauce.... we even took 5 to go. ... this will be a weekly date even though we will drive 35 min. Well worth it :)

Ive eaten at several Vietnamese restaurants in the US and fortunately my favorite one is close to home. I highly recommend the sate chicken soup and the spring rolls. 5 stars for food quality and service 4 stars if you care about ambience ... its somewhat a hole in the wall (but to me this is endearing and a part of the experience).

The chicken pho was more like chicken hell NO!! Gooey fatty "chicken" that I ended up throwing out. The brown broth was extremely oily and greasy. They refused to give extra sprouts when asked and they dont have jalapeños -- wth!! The establishment itself is horrendous and sketch. Health inspection much?? Worst pho in Dayton.

Crazy good, made from scratch Vietnamese food. If you arent one of those picky eater people that only eats garbage, go here and enjoy yourself. Word of advice, dont get caught up talking to the owner/server. She doesnt leave your table while you eat and sometimes makes the meal uncomfortable....lol.

I love this place. It is family owned and they truly make you feel like family. Ive never had the same meal since they always give me a recommendation and Ive never been disappointed. Ive often gone by myself with a book or with a group of friends. The ambiance fits all. A Dayton must!

I havent been to this place for a long time, but the food use to be very good. Last time I went the food was good, but I started noticing the general hygiene was lacking, especially when the cook served us the food. Wow that apron has not been was in three decades.

The Value is excellent. This is a quaint little Pho Restaurant. All of the food is authentic and home made. The spring rolls are awesome. The portions are huge as well. If you are ever in Cincinnati, check out the owners son at Cilantro Bistro in Clifton near UC.

Great dining experience! Dont let the outside scare you away. The service is great and the older lady who works there treats us like family. She puts bibs on us, orders special food for us, and even introduced us to her family. Wonderful food!

Yummy Vietnamese place! Doesnt get as much love as that "other" Vietnamese spot in Dayton, but in my opinion its the better of the two. Staff is so sweet and hilarious. Food is great. Lots of vegetarian opinions. Highly recommended!

Wow, the crab Rangoon was phenomenal. The staff was very knowledgeable about their food and showed us how to properly eat pho. Which was great because it did the pho justice, so good! Will be coming back here in the near future.

Great food, but twice we were charged for items we didnt order. Once as I pointed this out the cashier (owner?) said "oh, sorry" as she ran the card. We sorted it out but I wont be back- to bad cuz the food was delicious
