This place is "almost one of those hole-in-the-wall places that for some reason amazes you. I say almost, not because it doesnt amaze, but because its simply a little larger than those kinds of places. The food is amazing! Ive been going here now for over 4 years and have never had a dish that wasnt delicious. Ive eaten over 10 different menu items, maybe more. They have a lunch menu and a dinner menu. You can only get the lunch menu until 4pm. But you can order anything off the dinner menu at any time. The restaurant is a family owned business, but not all the employees are family members. They are very friendly and will explain anything on the menu showing an exceptional knowledge of the food and the recipes. Some items do contain MSG, for those that need to know, but all the items can be made without it if requested. The menus do not say which items contain MSG however, so youll need to ask. Every experience eating in the restaurant has been great, except for once (which prompted this review.) That however, was the fault of the customer that just wasnt very intelligent. She apparently order fried shrimp and complained that it wasnt breaded like fried shrimp was supposed to be and proceeded to cuss and use foul language and threaten to never come there again and blog bad things about them. When I saw the fried shrimp she was referring to, I had to laugh because she must have been blind. It was breaded just as all other friend shrimp Ive seen, so I think shes just someone who is angry about life in general. It got so bad that we (myself and our table) had to call the cops to come calm her down. So if you read any bad reviews about this place, its probably this blind lady who doesnt know what Chinese food is supposed to look like or taste like. This is restaurant has deserved all five-stars Ive given it and I will continue to go here. By the way, the prices are great as well. Lunch for around $5 or $6 and dinner under $10.

I think the most heart breaking thing about eating at Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant was that Google Reviews wont let me give this mess a 0 star rating for the culinary nightmare I just partook in. Our order consisted of a small family sized consumption of food ranging from beef teriyaki that was so overcooked and flavorless that it may have been re-branded Ol Roys and fed to a dog as a treat. Except I dont want to kill my dog. The Seafood Delight was pretty expensive for something that contains a flavorless garlic sauce and imitation crab meat that was, again, so overcooked it transformed into something so formless you may as well say Tofu has an upstanding personality in comparison. Our Lo Mein was an experience. The experience, primarily, in tasting 7 odd dollars worth of food that tasted like it came from a 99 cent can of Chef Boyardee. I will give them credit, however. The shrimp was well cooked. The people at the packing plant did an exceptional job in steaming it so these knuckle heads could dump it into whatever work-laden garbage they wanted to churn out. You wanna know when you have a problem? When youre ordering from a place and the first thing they say is "The price of our food does not reflect the price on the Menu online" THAAAAAAATS a problem. That means these people have had to RAISE THE PRICE. FOR THIS. Ive saved the best for last, though. People. We got some fried rice with our meal. My roomie said there was too much soy sauce. I tried it and was like "No, no its not that. Its burnt. But the food does not appear burnt. Which of course lead me to the conclusion that the beef teriyaki was murdered and removed from the wok, while the rice was left to churn in the cinders of its meaty forefather. Avoid this restaurant, people. The only good part about eating this is that in about 12 or so hours (Hospital trips pending) itll be out of my life forever.

We discovered this place several years ago, shortly after it opened, and dont eat Chinese food anywhere else. The food is delicious, the portions are huge and the owners are friendly. My personal favorite is their Szechuan chicken and crab rangoons. My kids and husband love their chicken fried rice. Because its a small family restaurant and they are so often busy, you may have a wait at times but its soo worth it. When I call in an order for carryout (which is what we normally do), I always add about 10 minutes to the time they give me. Like another reviewer said, this is not a great place to eat in for date night, as its a small modestly decorated brightly lit restaurant. So, if youre looking for a romantic setting, this is not it. BUT the food is so delicious, you can always take it to go and create your own setting:0)

Okay, this is one of those rare gems. Its in a strip mall by Big Lots, which would not normally be a good thing. This husband/wife team turn out some of the best Chinese food Ive ever eaten. When you go, spend a minute watching Tom (the owner) cook. The man is amazing. The food quality is outstanding. I have yet to find anything bad. Singapore Noodle is my fave, but its hard to choose. The only downside is that everyone else has also found this place, so you WILL NOT get your order in a hurry. Its worth the wait. The decor is plain, a few tables and chairs, but its clean. If youre looking for a nice date, this aint it, unless you get it to go and have a picnic at the lake. Oh, and theyre closed right now (June 15th) for a vacation, so call first unless its been a couple of weeks.

This general tsos chicken is sopping wet. The two peppers I managed to find had no spice to them. The chicken itself (Im certain) was battered and frozen, is then kept in a small waist-level cooler It is stored with a small piece of plastic wrap on only half of the opening of the container. Food safety violation. When I was in there not too long ago, the gentleman behind the counter got so confused with what another customer was trying to ask. He then proceeded to answer the phone while said guest was in mid-conversation. Gotta love that squishing sound when you eat a piece of fried chicken. Mmmmmm. Hopefully you guys were just having a rough night. I wont be going back. Definitely not authentic. I keep tryimg to est it but, this is quite bad.

Went in for a take-out order. Order took over 45 minutes to prepare, they did not start preparing it until I started asking for a refund of my money - my request was totally ignored. Customers that ate in the restaurant were given attention and party that came in right after me ordered, ate and left before my order was even started. Also another family came in over 20 minutes after I arrived and they got their meals before I go my order. Female in front was uninterested and actually rude to several of the customers who came in to pick up their order. After getting food, the order was not correct.
