I havent actually drank the coffee served there, I buy the beans and drink it at home. I save it for my weekend coffee so I can take the time to truly enjoy it. Id categorize it as ultra-premium. I buy beans from a roaster in Akron for my weekday coffees and thats the best price value for the quality, but the best quality is Bent Tree. You can actually taste distinct differences in the coffee based on how much water you use, so Ive found with their beans that it really is best to do 180ml of water per 10 grams of coffee. Its definitely worth the extra money. I typically dont prefer dark roasts, but even their dark roasts intriguing. Do yourself a favor and buy a bag of anything they roast.

Absolutely best coffee roaster in NE Ohio and likely all of Ohio. However, their prices are now in-line with some of the best in the country. Needless to say Ive branched out (see what I did there). Not going to take anything away as they are local, but Im hooked on Verve out of Santa Cruz California. Verve "Street Level" is on a whole different level than anything out of Bent Tree and with free shipping its a no brainer. Another thing to note, when I receive the bag from Verve it has the roasted on date. Up until I stopped buying bags from Bent Tree this date wasnt noted. If you are paying this type of premium you should know. I will certainly stop by Bent Tree again and you should too.

I just love coming here. Every time I do I receive great service and awesome coffee. I never thought Id become a coffee snob, but because of this place Ive started to, and I mean that in the best of ways! The only thing that could make this place even better was if they had more food for me to grab in the morning. Perhaps a bagel or something? Or if they could get some guy to run a burrito shop out front... Then itd be perfect. Either way, Id highly recommend this place to anyone thats looking for where to get the best cup of coffee in Kent. This place deserves the 5 stars...

Top notch. Been drinking coffee for 20 years. This is 1 of 2 places I would nationally recognize as being perfect. They have continuously raised the bar in the region. I have travelled all over the United States and rarely found such knowledge and service to match. Im headed to Ohio this morning from Indianapolis and cannot wait to swing by.

Way better than Rising Star in Cleveland. This isnt a coffee shop that just happens to also sell coffee beans, they are legit roasters and that is their primary business. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Also try the dark chocolate coffee bark from Popped while youŕe there, it is so good with a cold brew coffee!

Im hooked on Bent Tree coffee!! My son bought it for me as a gift, and now its the only coffee I drink. The staff was very helpful when I asked about which blend has low acid - Papaua New Guinea Kunjin. Breakfast blend and Autumn blend are also wonderful. Im a subscriber so I dont run out.

Bought a bag of Panama home for Thanksgiving. Fresh, carefully roasted, really nice. I was impressed be the retail selection--Hario, Aeropress, Barataza. This is quality place. Wish there was one of this quality near me at home. Also, cheerful, knowledgeable service.

One of the best coffee shops in Ohio and even beats other places in big cities that try and be "third-wave". They are very consistent and Ive always had a dialed shot of espresso. You can tell they are all passionate. Their beans are always great and freshly roasted!

I love Bent Tree. Its my top 5 in the nation - better than a lot of the coffee we have in Portland. Go there and try it out! Their roasts are great, and their brewing is (almost) always spot on!
