For starters the Dashing Diner just opened this past summer so any reviews before that time are from the Main Street Diner, Just Saying... My Husband and I have been there several times, the first time was just after they opened, and the food was mediocre at best. The omlets were over cooked as was the home fries and toast after asking for them to be lightly cooked and toasted. We chalked it up to a new cook some time past and we went back... Same story food was over cooked even after asking for home fries and toast to be lightly cooked/toasted, oh yeah when you order coffee you only get one cup unless you Ask for more. The staff is not very friendly, infact at times down right rude.so more time passes we go back One more time which was yesterday just to make sure we werent rushing to the wrong conclusion This time I ordered a burger and fries, Yep, the burger was over cooked and the fries were close to being burnt,my husbands omlet was over cooked. Granted we got there about a half hour before they closed but we didnt know that. We were served the last two cups of coffee which tasted like it had been setting for quite awhile was never asked if we wanted more. Then a guy that works there started putting the chairs on the tables and proceeded to sweep the floor while my husband was still eating.Needless to say We will NOT RETURN TO the Dashing Diner. I Gave the Dashing Diner a good try, and I was Hoping this time would have been Great or at Least Good, but Mediocre at best. The Place itself does look Nice. So now you know why they only get one star, I Wish we would have had good food and good service and a Friendly atmosphere.

Great food great service i know new owners have worked real hard to make it a great place eat all of the new servers have never waited tables before an i think that they have really found their groove an do a really good job an the new people cooking do great job to my food is always great i have never been disappointed in my food or my service every now and then owner ask me to try stuff they going to try in the near future an let me tell you wow the stuff is amazing cant wait for it to be on the menu and anyone to say bad about this place is nuts and must hate life badly its an great old school diner and also they have a good trailer that is just as amazing as the diner hope they are around a long time because their bacon jam is to die for you all need to jar that stuff so it can be naught to take an eat cant say enough good about these two places love eating at them both keep up the good work

Nice retro place from the moment you walk through the door. Staff is friendly and the food is good. I find that the prices can be higher compared to other places in town but you do get more food. The only thing Im not crazy about is their coffee and creamer, not the best. The creamer sits on the table and a few times Ive been there and used it it was old. The creamer just floated to the top. Definitely recommend it if youre not a coffee drinker. =)

Very limited menu. The people who work here are rude. Dont know who the new owner is. The last owner was very friendly. I miss them. The food taste nasty. It really sucks that there is not a decent restaurant in Johnstown. If you used to like this place, its not the same.

Food is subpar. Burgers tasted like freezer burnt unseasoned meat and soaked in grease. Just over all bad quality for being GFS food. I expected better.
