Clean, delicious, great wait staff! Definitely going back with my family! At the time of this review, we were new to the Delaware area and have been exploring different venues for the last few weeks, trying to discover our new city and figuring out what our favorite spots are going to be while we live and become new members of the community here. We had tried Old Bag of Nails in a few other locations around central Ohio and had always had a decent experience and enjoyed consistency with service and good hot food! Before we decided to head out to try out this Old Bag of Nails location in Delaware this Sunday evening with our little girls, we read some reviews on Google. We always had decent experiences so we were a little surprised when we read some older reviews that talked about slow service. We almost decided not to go based on those older reviews, but finally decided to give it a shot and decide for ourselves. Boy are we glad we decided to test if for ourselves! We were immediately greeted at the front hostess station by 2 very friendly people, one whose name was Heather (who happened to be our waitress for our first visit). Not only did our girls enjoy her, my wife really appreciated her responsiveness to us and the girls. She also made us aware of online specials and other versions of the fish that we had never realized in the other locations. Heather went above and beyond and she is a great asset to this location. We are delighted that we decided to ignore some of the bad reviews and found out for ourselves that this is a great place for family to eat! We are definitely going back and are going to make it one of our regular places for family and for date nights! Thanks Heather for proving some of the negative reviews wrong and making this one of our new favorite places to eat in Delaware, Ohio!

Third time weve tried to enjoy their patio - and sadly, the last. Service is abysmal at best. Once your food is dropped off dont expect to see a server again. Tonight I went in to find our server at the hostess station talking - having plenty of restaurant and bar experience I asked if he had not come back because he had too many tables, he responded, no, it was his fault - end of story. (I had tracked him down 15 mins earlier to ask for our check and had implied that we were "ready to go") - so I asked for the check and said please return with me to the table to collect payment, and he responded that he needed to go get change(?). So I put the money due in the case and handed it to the bartender. No one there seems to care. If there is a manager they are MIA - the last time we were there we sat at the bar because there was a wait for patio seating - the bartender was gone with NO ONE behind the bar for 20 minutes. While Im sure she deserved a break - thats just crazy. If this place is making money Im shocked. And the time before similar experience to tonight - food dropped off, server cant be found. We wont be back and this is the second Old Bag of Nails that Ive vowed to never return to. Its a shame, not a bad establishment but a whole lot of missed opportunity and crappy service!!!! In case you are wondering, weve returned to this location only because there are few options in Delaware with a patio, but this place cant even play in the same ball park with their competition.

I am a mom and because of that I care about how I am respected as a mother and how my children are treated. Our service technician, Heather, didnt stop wowing us. We almost didnt come in because of some bad reviews. I am very glad that we did and we will be back! Our server made me feel, as if we were the only ones there… but she was busy. She spoke to my children, not at my children and asked them questions. And then she showed terrific patience while they tried to explain to her exactly what they wanted and how they wanted it. Our food came fast and hot. Heather was fun and kind. She’s just a special lady and I hope that this restaurant knows what they have in her. She was on the front line because I came in, skeptical and reserved and on the defensive. We left with full bellies and smiles on our faces and look forward to visiting again. I recommend that you skip the bad reviews and try this place for yourself. It’s clean and fun. Go in, ask for Heather and judge for yourself. If something is wrong at least give them a chance to fix it. I’ll bet that most people don’t give the restaurant a chance to fix the problem; they just leave and write a bad review without ever telling the server or the manager. That’s not fair. Go. Eat the fish. Have fun!

For my fathers 95th birthday, we reserved the Wesleyan room at Old Bag of Nails in Delaware. The room was wonderfully private for the 20 guests at the party. We selected a limited menu of 5 luncheon items and all guests were pleased with their meals which were served in a very timely fashion by Kelsey, our terrific waitress. We asked for three tables for seating guests, another table for display of old photos and one table for the birthday cake and OSU paraphernalia. It was ssetup and ready for decorating when we arrived. The room worked beautifully for our group. Our time was not limited in the room. Management even gave us a 20% discount on our bill which was fantastic. We will use Old Bag of Nails for all our future reunions and birthday get togethers. Bunns had been our usual restaurant of choice, but our last group party was set up in the middle of the restaurant so there was no privacy for our event. Thanks to the staff and management of Old Bag of Nails for helping to make the birthday party such a memorable one. We had six 90 plus year olds in attendance and they had no problems navigating into the restaurant, finding the private room or finding the nearby restrooms.

I have liked nothing about this establishment the last three years. I will not go to this place ever again. After waiting an hour for a table(after being told of a 25 minute wait), we were informed that the kitchen is currently closed because they are overwhelmed. Wow!! The last time I was there with my family prior to this visit, we waited 30 minutes for a waiter to say hi and get us water. So we left and had a wonderful dinner at Buns. That owner is present and takes care of his customers. The time before that I was shocked by their lights on the railing because it was missing bulbs in the socket. We go out to dinner every weekend in downtown Delaware and we will never go to the old bag of nails. Poor ownership and even worse management if any

Very bad experience. From walking into this establishment I didnt feel welcomed. I took forever to be waited on. Waitress then took the drink order. The drinks didnt come out correct and then took forever to correct the mistake. Food took forever to get after ordering. Nearly every order was incorrect and did not come out at the same time. Took forever for them to correct the order. Asked to speak to the manager. The manager ended up being the busy bartender. She did discount the bill. Even if the meal was free, which it wasnt, I still wouldnt come back. One of the worst dining experiences Ive ever encountered. Oh yeah, the food was subpar and at best was luke warm.
