I took my girlfriend there for valentines day and it was a very unpleasant experience. It started in the morning when I tried to make a reservation and was told they dont do reservations on the weekends. Then we got to the Brown Iron Brewhouse at 3 pm, to ensure there wouldnt be a very long wait. There were about 6 tables open so we asked the waitress if we needed to seat our selves or wait and were told they had a 10 minute wait. So we sat down and waited about 15 minutes for one of the 6 open tables that were open when we got there. We then got seated. I ordered 4 different drinks of the menu and was disappointed to find that they were out of all of them. My girlfriend ordered two drinks and they did have those but she was brought the wrong drink for one of the two. Which put them at 6 drinks ordered and only one delivered. Were not the type to make a stink and most of the frustration wasnt towards the waiter we had. The waiter was good and took care of us. Finally we got to our food and were again disappointed. We got the pork sandwich and the Reuben. Both were so saturated with grease and water that we just ate the meat off the bun and left the saturated bread. Finally when we got the bill they tried charging us for all 6 drinks that we ordered. (4 of which we never received) They did fix the bill but it was the final straw for me which is why I am posting my first review on a business. So disappointed!!! From how packed they always seem we expected an awesome brew house with their own beer and great food. We found just another mediocre bar and future headstone on the graveyard that is van dyke between 26 and 27 mile rd.

Well let me start by saying these bad reviews are ridiculous.....limited menu? There menu is a standard menu like most places, go to a generic restaurant If you want a crap ton of options. Hate to tell you the sauce is not baked on because THEY SMOKE THERE FOOD. Let me move on to the next insulting review. Forever to pour a beer? Relax sip your water your properly poured beer will be there. Complement embedded, they pour there beers very well. Also to Bob. You must be so generous leaving 5 dollars on a 33 dollar tab..... I wouldnt bring you nickels and pennys either. Overall a month after they opened they were a little slow as to be expected. I think this place isdoing a great job. They are constantly improving and growing. The food is great....perfect smoke ring on the brisket every time. The only reason it gets a little pricey is because you are paying for some really good beers. I love the pairings and fun events they have. Cant wait for the home brew to come out. Keep it up brown iron. Your doing great.

Really great food, pretzel appetizer was OK the cheese sauce was the best part, the pretzel buns are better than the sticks, both are supposed to be made in house but the sticks sure seemed to be too uniformly made to be in house made! I think they have some frozen ones on hand for when they run short!! The onion dip that comes with the appetizer is really heavy duty onion, not great if you are looking for something light! Now for the meals, we had salmon tacos and smoked pork. Both really delicious and worth the trip back to this restaurant again. There was enough of the pork that we ordered two pretzel rolls to go and made sandwiches for dinner the next night. Thanks for being on the NoWait app, we love the app, otherwise we wouldnt have known about you! We have a new place to go after our trips antique shopping, cider mill trips, pumpkin patch trips, apple picking, and trips home from estate sales!

This place is great. Dont judge this place on the reviews from "Valentines Day" or when its super busy "I was there at 7pm on a saturday night." Thats when things go wrong, especially if youre with a large group. I went on a tuesday at 2pm in the afternoon, food took about 12 minutes, assuring me it was cooked fresh, and the bartender was a nice lady that served us our beers with no problem. There were about 6 different tables and it was just her, and she was quick with each of us making sure we all were taken care of. If youre on here to judge a place on the busiest restaurant night of the year (Valentines Day) you can shut up if thats the only night you go out all year, dont go out at all... smh. Anyways, bar side is fun and doesnt feel like a cafeteria.

My wife and I stopped by for a bite to eat and some libations. The place was not super busy and it still took us a while before we were asked what we wanted to drink. We both ordered a couple of sample beers and indicated that we would also like menus. The person who handled our beer order, Jason, said that a server would be right with us. We waited for quite some time but no server appeared. Meanwhile, ,people who came in well after we were seated were waited on and received their orders. We finally got up and left. They did comp us for our sample beers but that is still no way to treat a customer. We have been there in the past when they were so busy that we had to wait to be seated and on those occasion the service was great.

First and last trip unfortunately. My wife and I had high hopes for this place and came for a KBS tapping that was to occur at 8pm. We arrived two hours early and when the keg was tapped our waitress was no where to be found and when she came around assured us she needed to get to the customers in the order they were sat. So she comes back around takes our order and 10min later the keg is completely empty and were left with a "I am So sorry." Getting to a restaurant 2 hours before a tapping and then to be neglected a glass is in my opinion unacceptable. We were going to hold a 30th bday here in a few weeks with 50-75ppl but we will be taking the party elsewhere and making sure we tell our guest about our unpleasant experience!

I really want to like this place. The food is good and I love the huge beer selection. My biggest criticism is with the consistently lackluster service. Ive been here several times and always feel like the servers just dont care. Every time, as soon as my table is nearly done with their entrees, they try to push you out the door. This isnt subtle either. The last visit the server became visibly agitated when the table ordered an additional few beers. This was nearing the end of the dinner rush but hours before closing and there was no wait so the waitress could only benefit from us increasing our bill. Overall Id say to expect great food but you can also bank on bad service.

After reading through some of the bad reviews I just wanna say, I have had a wonderful experience so far. I think they definitely read these and have tried to improve. My service was very fast, there are tons of waitresses/waiters, the place is packed full, and everything Ive had has been incredible. The rub on the turkey is fantastic, the fries are unmatched, and the corned beef was amazing as well. The sauces are very good, and this dill ranch is so good that I asked for another cup of it. I also very much appreciate that there are ciders and meads for people like me that dont like beer so much. Id give it ten stars if I could.
