Met a buddy here for dinner on a Monday evening. Since there wasnt a Blue Jackets game that night, the place was pretty dead. The printed beer list was a few months out of date, according to the waitress, so she had to go through the list twice since I got there before my friend did. The first two beers I asked for they were out of. It was happy hour so pints were only $3. I ordered the fish and chips and got a huge piece of fish that was very tasty. It was also seafood night so if you ordered the fish and chips you got another fish and chips or a shrimp dish for free, so I got shrimp to go and had it for lunch the next day. Some of the tables were not cleaned when I got there and one of them was broken. The service was OK, nothing spectacular, especially considering how slow they were. They had music on, right on the border of being too loud, but the song selection was good. My buddy and I kept commenting that they were tunes we have on our own playlists. However, it was obvious that they were using a phone plugged into a headphone jack, as we kept hearing Facebook notifications interrupting the music.

My review is based on their event planning and customer service -- I really wanted to have my rehearsal dinner for my wedding at the Claddagh, Ive always enjoyed their food and atmosphere. When I emailed the regional manager, Chanda, asking if a certain date and time was available, she said that date already had another rehearsal dinner booked, so naturally I moved on and booked my event elsewhere. Just today, I received an email from Chanda confirming our event on that date at the pub. I was pretty surprised, and told her I had received her previous email stating they were unable to accommodate us on that date, and that I was pretty bummed because obviously a mistake had been made and it looked like I couldve had our event there, etc etc. The reply I got was simply, "Ok thanks." No apology or any offers to remedy the mistake made by them. Pretty poor customer service.

Let me preface this with the fact that I have NEVER written a bad review of any restaraunt. However, my experience at Claddaghs merits my first bad review... Very disappointed with my experience at Claddaghs. Fish was obviously breaded and cooked and then frozen as it was dry and had a freezer taste. Presentation was horrible- with a disgustingly huge piece of fish served on a large plate and a small black cup of coleslaw with tons of mayo. Appetizer was served with awful tomatoes. A cook with any self-respect would never serve such produce. The brownie dessert was also obviously frozen and dry. The bathroom obviously had not been experienced a deep clean in quite some time. Will NOT be visiting this restaurant ever again.

Wonderful decor and Irishmess. The pubs location in an old, rehabilitated building added to the charm which was enhanced by the friendly and efficient service. The Irish music group assembled in the bar also added to the ambiance. The service was very good, the Guinness served appropriately, and the food was more than passable--I had fish and chips, which were very nicely done. The menu has a few of the Irish stapels, but carried a wide variety of American dishes with "Irished-up" names. Im always a little skeptical of places like this which lead with a really well-done website, but theyve done a nice job of making an Irish place to eat and drink in a town not known for its Irishness.

My husband and I stopped through Columbus for a night and stumbled upon this great little gem. We not only enjoyed dinner outside with our dog, but we also managed to enjoy a couple of pints with some very friendly locals. The staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. The food was great, but for us the mood of the place and the warmth of the people were what made this place so memorable. I happened to stop through her here again a few weeks later and found that nothing changed. Ill make a point to stop here anytime I fine myself in Columbus!

Service was slow had packed house when I was there and only one bartender to run the bar. The band they had booked as an Irish band sucked for a supposed Irish band they were shite. They knew maybe one Irish song they ask the crowd for songs to play I named 8 classic Irish songs and they knew none of them. Then told me to be quiet they werent going to listen to me. At the end of the night I ended up paying for someone elses tab on top of my own. They closed at around 11:00pm. Seriously Irish Pub my arse my Bonnie lass and I will not be back ever.

Went to this establishment last night at the end of a business trip. By far this was the best Irish food I have had. It helps that the head chef came from Ireland to run the kitchen and revamp the menu. There is not an item I do not think I would not like. The panned trout was great, to the veggie burger (homemade) which a friend got, to my fish and chips. I have no reason to really stop in Columbus but would schedule a connector through there just to eat at this restaurant. This is a gem in the city od Columbus.

Great place. We were in the area to get a picture with the neighboring Beer King statue, and spotted Claddagh. Our server was friendly, the decor was enjoyable, our food was delicious and the happy hour special was great- in that it was all inclusive! As an craft beer drinker, Im usually disappointed when a place only offers certain drafts in their happy hour or daily specials. That was not the case here! Im definitely looking forward to going here again next time Im in Columbus.

I went to Claddagh for the USA v. Belgium game and it was great! They had all of the tables turned to view the tv, our waitress was very attentive and the food was great- the salmon on my salad was cooked perfectly and the cabbage egg roll things were AMAZING. I was really pleasantly surprised with the food and service- this was a legit restaurant, not just a bar to watch the match at. Will definitely go back!

I went once and it was okay. Food was decent, service acceptable. I went again today around 7:30 and was informed that they had booked the entire restaurant for Harry Potter trivia night that was 21+ only . You could still sit at the bar, which is, again, only 21 and up. Having a girlfriend who is 20 made both options unavailable. Poor management of space in my opinion, when they only have 12 bar seats.

Over priced, never clean--always sticky tables and bar. Nice cultural experience when they have local Irish musicians there, but the place is never full. Wish they would clean up and offer some promotion like Gordon Biersch does for their regulars. Theyre Monday BOGO fish and chips is great tasting, but no "deal"; that is, no fine print, bit they insist that you must both buy drinks to get the deal.

I have been to Claddagh many times and enjoy the food and atmosphere. The fish dinner would be considered pricey by some, but it is the best fish I have ever eaten. On Mondays its buy one get one free. The staff is friendly, but subdued which is fine with me. I am not a fan of in your face wait staff. I would rate this in the top 3 places for a beer in the German Village area.
