Great beers, good food, slow and inattentive service We came here on a late Thursday afternoon, so the place wasnt quite filled up yet. The ambiance was fairly pleasant, but a place youd come to enjoy the way it looks, but you come for the food and mainly beers. The beers were great, they mainly carry stouts and brown ales, Ive had one from Yellow Springs, so as local as it gets just about. If I werent driving, Id go for lot more than just one beer. The food was pretty good too. The charcuterie plate was a nice starter, definitely an upgrade and refresher from the old mozzarella sticks and plain old fried things. My Reuben was great, loved it, nice rye, good meat and great zing to it. Their chips were good as well. They forgot about my fries, although I decided for this meal mainly because it came with chips and fries. I has to ask separately and they tried to tell me I didnt order them. Oh well. They were thick cut fries and great with some vinegar and salt. One thing that I would definitely like to see improved would be the service and their attention paid to the guests. The place wasnt really that busy for them to fall behind, but for extended periods of time we were left with empty plates on our tables empty glasses as well. We will definitely be back for the beer and food, meanwhile hoping we get better service.

This is the second time weve been to the Dublin Pub, wanting to give them a second chance. The food is wonderful, although we waited over 40 min. and our dinners were lukewarm at best. The atmosphere is nice, exactly what you would expect from an "Irish pub". HOWEVER...the service is HORRIBLE! We ate inside both times....and that is where we think the problem is. People sitting outside seemed to have several servers, while we had to wait for a refill on a glass of soda. The first time, my husband finally got up and went to the bar to get his seltzer refilled as the server was no where to be found. If you arent planning on drinking, again this is where we think the problem was, dont go. They completely ignore you. I did call and spoke with the manager on duty and she said she was going to address the problems we encountered. She was VERY nice and apologized. I did not want any kind of compensation as we will not be going back.

I moved to Dayton, OH from North Carolina about a year and a half ago. I have been to several states and several Irish pubs. But, this one is the REAL DEAL! It has the most authentic, welcoming atmosphere you could ever hope for in an Irish pub! The food is incredible! The Guinness is always poured just right! And, the staff and employees are very friendly! Also, i have never experienced a more fun St. Paddys Day until i came to Dayton, to the Dublin Pub! Despite the insane amount of people that were there that night, it was still very easy to get served a drink! Very nice! There were live bands playing, Irish dancing, and no rowdy/beligerant people. Probably because it is such a nice environment! I would HIGHLY recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a thoroughly enjoyable Irish pub experience! Two thumbs up!

I usually get great service here. We went with a group. We were seated right away but had to stop staff at times for drinks. When we ordered it took well over an hour and we kept asking when the food would be out we were told soon. After waiting some more I talked to the GM. He checked and said our food would be up soon but was turned in 35 minutes ago. The group was not happy and wanted to leave. The GM comped our drinks. The service spoiled the evening. I will try them again and hope service returns to the previous level I had in the past.

We went on a Tuesday night at 8:30 pm, it was not busy at all, perhaps 15% of capacity with 2 servers. Incredibly slooow service! It took 25 minutes to get an appetizer. Although the food is decent, and obviously its not a fast food restaurant, the amount of wait time is ridiculous. Come on folks! You can do better than this. A review 4 years ago also complained of slow service, evidently nothing has changed unfortunately. Is anyone in management listening?

I have been a long-time patron of the Dub Pub. I love the atmosphere; it really does feel friendly, welcoming, and home-like. The food is delicious, and most dishes are generous enough that youll be taking home leftovers. The service is usually good, depending on which server you get. They feature a changing roster of beers on tap (local and otherwise), an incredible whiskey selection, and have an awesome Bloody Mary brunch most Sundays.

Had a reservation for 12-13 people on a Friday for lunch and when we arrived they had everything set up including water at every seat. Fantastic service by Ben, he really knows everything and is a true asset to the restaurant. Great food and drink selection. Reubens and The Ruck are my favorite. Dublin Pub is a must stop if youre visiting and youve probably been there countless times if youre local so you know Im not making this up.

What a fantastic place to eat and drink. Great place to take a date. This place resonates well with me and my roots. What cheerful people! Their burgers were fantastic! My favorite thing I have ate here is their Shepherds Pie. It was so delicious!! They have a really nice bar. The location is beautiful! They always have some kind of European musical performance. This is my favorite restaurant in all of Dayton period.

Over priced.... Used to love the skillet Shepherds Pie, they cut it down to a deep dish pot, half if not more than half the size of the skillet, and kept the same $14 price as before. They said they added lamb, to increase value. They dont even offer a side dish. NOT AT ALL WORTH THE PRICE! But... The ambiance is neat... Probably wont eat there again, but an occasional beverage at happy hour prices maybe....

The beer selection and St. Patricks Day celebration is what earns this Pub 4 stars. The food is a bit over priced and not too special, but they always have a good rotating selection of craft brews to enjoy, and if you are lucky enough to be in the area for St. Patricks you have to stop by. Live music, local food, and a packed house celebrating and drinking. Best place to go in Dayton on March 17th.

This is BY FAR my favorite place to eat in Dayton. The food is excellent and the portions are HUGE. They may be a tiny bit pricey, but it is WELL worth it! The staff are friendly and the know the menu. The drinks are awesome. (If you havent had an Irish headlock, you dont know what you are missing!) Great atmosphere with live music and open mic nights top it off for a top notch establishment!

2nd visit: my burger was made medium rare this time...just the way I like it and it was legit!! 1st time: Great atmosphere. 10% military discount. Had an Irish band performance. This particular band plays every Tuesday. Craft beer here is on point. I would have given a 5-star if they didnt mess up my order. I asked for a medium rare burger and I got a medium...too dry for my liking.

The place is very nice and was very much looking forward to having some beers and eating here. Upon arrival we went to the bar and took forever for us to get service then the bartender was rude to us. We wanted to order food but he never checked on us once. Will never go back again. Its a shame because it seemed like a really nice place bartender totally ruined the wgole experience.
