The beer was good the food was awesome but holy sh**, what came after can only be described as pure HELL. The night started off great had a nice beer from the awesome selection and decided to go with a deep fried burger, it sounded amazing and it tasted amazing just like the beer. So after eating was finished got another beer and some good scotch and decided after that to head home for the night. HOLY S*** 5 oclock came a rocking and thats what came a knocking, I plastered the inside of my toilet bowl with rich hue of mahogany colored fecal matter, and for several hours had uncontrollable and uncomfortable gas. This morning can only be described as the birthing of the Anti Christ, and my poor girl not only had to suffer from my uncontrolled gas she to was blessed the same wonderful experience of explosive bowel movements. If it was for this Id highly recommend this place, heck Id give it 5 stars cuz it actually looks kinda like a beer garden and the food was truly good. #harbosurgarfreegummybears.

Though the name would make you think its an authentic German restaurant/biergarten, nothing could be further from the truth. In reality, LoDa is an updated greasy spoon with an impressive number of beers on tap. Unfortunately, about half of them are unavailable at any one time. The food is general pub-grub with only a couple of attempts at German food. My dining companions tried the meatloaf sandwich platter while I had the breaded pork tenderloin with potato salad and red cabbage. As someone who spent a summer in Germany, I can attest that this is a miserable attempt at German food. In fact, my friends meatloaf sandwich tasted as if it had been marinated in pickle juice. That brings me to service, which others have commented on--there is none. The speed is glacial and inattentive. When my friends complained about their food, the waitress got in an argument with them about the percentage they had already eaten (about 1/3). We left and have no plans to return.

4 of us in training here at Keesler Air Force Base were in Mobile for the day and thought this place seemed like a fun spot to hang out. It started out that way. Our wait staff was really fun and engaging (the bartenders, we were bellied up the whole time), the touchtunes were rockin and everyone in the bar was having a fun time. We got there around 3:00 and at shift change, must have been around 8:00, the bartenders who replaced the ones we had before were cranky, unengaging and extremely slow to respond to any drink or food orders we made. All-in-all they were fairly rude, which is too bad, because the afternoon crew was absolutely great. Beer selection here is wonderful, but it would serve them well to have some friendlier people working behind the bar.

Went for my birthday during a weekday afternoon. It wasnt too busy and the day was nice so we sat outside. Good atmosphere. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The beer selection is always good. If theyre out of something they always make a good suggestion as a replacement. Unfortunately, the food was very poor. VERY. POOR. I ordered the Reuben and it was the worst one Ive ever had. The food used to be so good back when I was in college, but the quality has gone down a steep hill. Personally, I have no problem coming back for the beer, but id steer clear from the food until they get their act together. Conclusion: 1 star for service, 1 star for atmosphere, and 1 star for good beer. Food and price just isnt worth it if thats a deal breaker.

I really liked the place when it opened. BUT we never got a food order right or cooked correctly here. Today, we gave them another chance. Two of the burgers were cooked correctly at medium, one was well but still edible. One was flat burnt, the outside of the meat was hard. I know I would have never served that to people at my house. The waitress went to the owner (managers were not there) and he said he will cut a discount but wouldnt fix it. You may get away with screwing tourists all day, but Im local. I will be spreading this around town. They own the Old Shell growler station too. I used to fill up there. Not coming back. Best Burger in town? Maybe 50% of the time. Who wants that? If I want to gamble Ill go to the boats.

Service was horrible! Staff (mainly the manager) was rude and condescending. It seemed like they were annoyed that our food came to the table wrong and we refused to take what we did not order. The waitress might have been new but she did not know the menu or the different burgers when they came from the kitchen. I was very disappointed because I had been there several times before. But I refuse to spend my money where they dont appreciate all their customers. At the end the manager tossed all of our tickets on the table in a small stack, mumbled "sorry" and then walked away. I understand mistakes happen but they were so unapologetic that it was infuriating. Will never be back...wish I could give them 0 stars.

Sat outside, music was a little loud because it was competing with the place across the street. This is the only reason Im giving it a 4, can be difficult to hear the person sitting across from you, outside. Otherwise, my experience was a 5. Service was great, staff seemed knowledgeable on the 100+ beers they have. I went with the Courthouse burger, it is now on my top 10 best burgers Ive ever had list. The sauce really set it off, some kind of hot wing sauce. The meat was fresh, waiteress said it was never frozen and local, definitely tasted that way, every bit was amazing. Overall, great place to hang with friends, maybe even family but I didnt go inside.

Been to this place twice, from what Ive heard it has switched owners or managers a few times but its a unique atmosphere with a wide micro beer selection mostly on draft (50 plus drafts). The food was good and the manager checked on us and even gave us a new dish they were trying out free. A pretzel we ordered was brought to our table and even though we didnt have an issue with it but the manager saw it and sent it back for being over cooked. I would recommend this place either for a drink or a quick bite. Has plenty of TV,s and projections screens to watch sports on.

The food was great! The pace at which they moved was similar to winter molasses. Block out about 2 hours for a lunch for two if you are 1 of 3 parties in the entire place. Terrible attitudes and SLOW service! In addition to slow service, there were two girls who brought out food and drinks, but when we tried to pay the girl who dropped off our tab, we were told we could not pay her, and it was another 20 minutes before we saw our actual server to tab out. We ate here because it advertises veteran owned but no military person moves this slow.

AWESOME little place on the corner! I ordered the beer sampler which was GREAT and the food is awesome! It was College Football Saturday and there wasnt a bad seat in the house if you wanted to catch the games playing on multiple screens!!! The only downside.....we decided to come back later for dessert only to find out they ran out and only have a limited amount of bakery goods delivered a day (it would have been nice if our server told us that when we asked about coming back later to get dessert).
