How does a restaurant "run out of" gouda mac and cheese???? After reading a few other reviews we chose The Pub. Nice atmosphere, great beer selection, and no wait time. Appetizers were ON POINT. We ordered the cheese bollocks (basically cheese sticks served in a round form) and spinach and artichoke dip with pita bread. Both were awesome, served hot and fresh. While enjoying the appetizers, our server informed us the restaurant was "out of" gouda mac and cheese. How does a restaurant run out of gouda mac and cheese we asked. He informed us he never heard of it happening before. He offered other sides and mashed potatoes were selected to go with the buttermilk fried chicken. Hubby ordered fish and chips with a side of ranch, no ranch but they do have creamy dill sauce. Ok. When our food arrived it looked great. The fish was HUGE. Unfortunately, my mashed potato substitute side left much to be desired. There were pieces of dry crusty potato within my mashed potatoes. Much like if the potatoes were sitting in a warmer and a film formed on top but the cook didnt bother to stir up the dish, just scooped some out and dumped them in the plate. I mentioned this to the server and a new dish of very creamy potatoes were brought - like if you added milk to old potatoes to make the somewhat fresh again. On to desert. We ordered whisky bread pudding to go. We elected to eat the ice cream at The Pub rather than take it home. On my husbands last bite of ice cream, he found a hair. Needless to say, now I understand why they were not crowded and had no wait. Time will tell if we decide to try again.

This is the most disappointing one star review Ive ever left. I originally had this as a solid five star and here is my original review from two months ago: "As with all the Pub locations, great beer selection, great food, and great atmosphere. The staff in Atlanta is always friendly. Get the bacon wrapped, goat cheese stuffed dates!" Now flash forward to last week (August 2015). I go to order the dates and was informed they didnt have them anymore. Thinking this was surely a stock issue or some kind of trick, I asked Daniel to elaborate and he said "they updated the menu and they didnt make the cut". They did indeed update the menu and expanded it, but instead of keeping the best thing going, they removed it and added a bunch of other standard fare crap bar food instead. The upper management really screwed up on this one. Ive spent a ton of money at the Pub and recommended it to countless friends. Every one of them to a person could not believe how good the dates were. Also, the music was turned up significantly louder than usual with some terrible music. The beer is still good. The staff is still friendly... But removing the dates, junking up the menu, and blasting crap music has not only changed this to a one star review, but I will never go to the Pub again until this is fixed. FYI, I go to Pub locations all over the United States as I travel for work, so no more business dinners and lunches there, and no more recommendations. Please fix this and let me know when you do so I can come back to my favorite restaurant.

I was in the area and needed a place to eat yesterday. I wanted to try something different (per usual) so I decided to go inside The Pub after looking at the menu that they placed outside before you even walked in. The set up was really unique. It looked like an upscale lodged cabin (if that even makes sense lol). From the moment I walked in, the host was really friendly and helpful. I didnt really know what to get so she made several suggestions; not to mention, she informed me that it was happy hour ( iwas there at about 4pm) and she showed me the half-priced items as well. I sat at a booth. I felt really comfortable, like I could stay for hours. Finally, I ordered the Buttermilk chicken, which was cooked to perfection and didnt take as long as I suspected. For my side items, I had a scrumptious macaronni and cheese that was freshly made. I also had this red oak leaf salad with this delicious balsamic vinegarette; I expected the vinegarette to taste sort of sour but it did not. I actually really liked it. Then, the host also suggested and confirmed with the bartender of the upside down pineapple cake martini. I loved it! When I have an alcoholic beverage, I always prefer a sweet one and this was perfect for a lightweight like myself.lol. The experience and food was amazing and I would definitely go back and also recommend to anyone; you wont regret it.

We came here for Team Trivia and were really excited for the theme. Unfortunately, while the trivia was fun, the service and food was very bad. For starters, it took 45 minutes to get our appetizer which was first wrong. When the correct order came out, the beer cheese was not melted, and was cold. I asked and it was blamed on the kitchen. Refills were lacking throughout this wait, and one beer took 30 minutes. The main courses took another 30 after the appetizer and we had already turned in the full trivia sheet before it arrived. Two of the four orders were correct. Mine was entirely put in incorrect, as they tried to charge me two meals on my check. The correct one and the incorrect one. The fourth meal was missing ingredients (note there was no changes made to the menu item). It was a very disappointing situation. It was all blamed on the kitchen.

Great atmosphere, awesome server, delicious burgers, and a helluva beer menu! The Beau picked this place and he couldnt be more spot on! The countless beers on tap, the samples of whatever one you want to try, and their cool beer drinks (half and halts basically!) made this place an easy favorite. Oh and the food was good too! :) We had burgers - traditional and lamb - and picked one of their fixings to top it off. Skipped the fries and had delicious vegetable of the day, which was green beans..loved! I would skip the bread pudding for dessert though…yuck. We will be back here over and over. The entire staff was amazing! (and happy though they are required to wear kilts. lol)

Lets Say that my food got first to the table than my beer. You know you go out to a bar / pub on a Friday afternoon to unwind from work and enjoy a drink. Here you will not get that! Slow service, and I got the check immediately. I guess they wanted me to leave. Poor no customer service. Never coming back. Also, the place was not packed, and the servers did not seemed busy to justify a delay of 25+ minutes for a beer. I still dont understand what would take 25 min+ to get a beer with no explanation. I asked the waitress several times she always replied its on the way.

We have been to The Pub three times in a 2-week span, wanting to share the experience with family and friends in town for the holidays. Servers and staff are ALL spot-on in their knowledge and understanding of the drink and food menus, attentive, and personable. Food is out of this world delicious - so far everything on the menu is our favorite, although anything with the smoked gouda is a frontrunner - and the drinks are generous and plentiful. Definitely a go-to spot anytime we are in north Atlanta.
