7 Stars! The Food is amazingly good! I went in a group of 12 on 1/20/17 and I cant think of one bad thing to say. When we arrived the table we reserved wasnt ready so the restaurant sent us free appetizers! The wait was very short but that was super nice of them. GET THE BACON! Its so good. I had The Mule from the bar menu and it was good and strong. Best Mac and Cheese I have ever had! Great mashed potatoes and spoon corn bread. The fried chicken sandwich was so full of flavor! Our waitress gave us great service. The food was so good I went back the next day 1/21/2017! The service was again amazing and the food was just as good. They have us a nice discount for coming in 2 days in a row. This place really know how to treat people. I will be back.

Food: Disappointing. Their chicken is the main focus, traditional buttermilk fried chicken. Unfortunately it was pretty mediocre. Many better options for fried chicken in Columbus. Mac and cheese was pretty good, but did not really stand out either. Draft beer selection was minimal compared to many bars in the city and not of high quality in general. Atmosphere: lots of TVs if that is important to you. Looks almost like a sports bar. No idea how this place made it in a "top new restaurants" list, it is definitely the worst of the bunch. I would usually give a restaurant like this a second chance, but that wont be happening given how poor it was and the stiff competition it faces in Columbus these days. Very disappointed, as I was excited to try it.

The food here is great! We have tried a good portion of the menu and havent been disappointed. Not a huge fan of the spoon bread - it was rather dry and lacked flavor when I ordered it, but everything else has been delicious. The chicken is great of course, and other favorites are the greens & artichoke dip, the mac n cheese, and the sweet potato crock. Always have had friendly service here although not always fast. Drinks are strong and use good quality alcohol even for well drinks. The patio is really nice and in my opinion the way to go. Inside is cozy though, but you are sometimes seated with other people very nearby if that is an issue for you. One of our new favorite date nights!

There seems to be a fried chicken trend here in Columbus, first with Hot Chicken Takeover, and now this. Its pretty standard fare for Southern comfort food. The fried chicken itself, which is the feature menu item, is not bad. Relatively "greaseless" for fried chicken, but not particularly flavorful either. We got the sweet potato mash and the succotash as shared sides. Both were pretty decent - the sweet potato is definitely for those with a sweet tooth, and the succotash was small, but savory. For the location, its a pretty good price. You can expect to spend around $10-15 per person. The food itself isnt to die for though.

A perfect spot for some delicious fried chicken and beer. The menu is straight forward and doesnt try to get fancy with unnecessary twists on classic southern dishes. They have minimal but solid fixed beer list along with some rotating crafts. If that doesnt catch your eye they have 5 or 6 cocktails which are fun and inventive. You can have more privacy sitting indoors but the real fun is outside on the huge patio which features long communal tables and overhead trellises to provide shade. Surprisingly not too crowded for dinner on the weekend. You should be able to grab a table outside without any wait.

This place is great - they actually have a parking lot (rare for the area), and a wonderful patio for the summer. They have a good happy hour. Their bourbon punch is amazing (on happy hour special) and I dont even like bourbon. The mac and cheese with bacon on it is delicious. My friends report the chicken is on point as well. Casual atmosphere. The service is great - the bartender was really patient with my super picky friend who wanted to try a number of different beers. He was patient and went above and beyond in letting her sample.

This is the best fried chicken Ive ever had! The skin is light and crispy, not too greasy, moist and tender falling off the bone. Great prices, fantastic food. Their mac and cheese is stellar, perfectly creamy, with a little heat that perfectly compliments the chicken. Their cocktails are a little high priced but absolutely worth every dollar, the Bourbon Punch sure did the trick and went very well with the flavors of the food. Great shaded seating on the patio! Service was great. Overall wonderful, go visit now!!!

Horrible place. Been here 3 times and never been served. First time they kicked us out because it was a fire code. Second time they just have terrible service and "forgot" to serve us. Third time they accused us of being too intoxicated... Bartender is an idiot... Who ever manages this place needs to open their eyes before their bar closes someone will gladly take their spot in the short north. Pathetic management I look forward to the next Cameron Mitchell restraunt to take their spot.

I was disappointed by the Eagle in Columbus. The one in Cincinnati is phenomenal. This one definitely felt much more lacking compared to the Cincinnati restaurant. The venue, for starters, doesnt have the historic feel of the one at OTR. To me, it felt like an Applebees inside. The chicken, also, seemed like a major downgrade. The skin wasnt crunchy or as flavorful. Overall, I would go to the Northstar Café thats within a half mile of this place.

AN awesome new spot in the Short North Arts District! The free range local chicken is so delicious! And the real best part is the hot honey made in house. It is so killer! The sweet potatoes were a bit too sweet with too many marshmallows but still yummy. The beer selection was great with tons of local options. lots of seating and standing room although it was crowded we were able to get a seat at the bar and get full service there right away.

Paid The Eagle a visit during Gallery Hop 10/1/16- they comped everything for us. The kitchen got backed up a little but our drinks were never empty and we were well attended to. The staff was great and apologetic although it didnt seem like that long of a wait for our meals. As pub grub goes the food was excellant. After our meal and a very good experience they told us that everything would be comped due to the wait - Thank you

Went to this place for lunch while visiting family in Columbus. We sat outside which I highly recommend if the weather is nice, they let us have our dog with us at the table and even brought her a water bowl. I got the Fried Chicken Sandwich, it was amazing! The salads and sides that we got were all amazing too! I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is craving fried chicken, it doesn’t get much better than this.

I absolutely LOVE this place! The dim lights, the great selection of beers and their FOOD is amazing. We had a german sausage with a duck egg on top and some arugula, if Im not wrong, and it was to die for. Also their fried pickles were delicious. Service was beautiful. This was a suggestion from a local who was walking by and it was GREAT!!!! If youre San Fran, definitely stop by!
