I used to really enjoy coming to this Cup OJoe. Over the last year or two it has gone downhill. The coffees are good, the service is spotty depending on who is behind the counter. A few of the good ones left and some of the newer employees are indifferent to service. Prices on drinks is at times inconsistent depending on who is behind the counter. Some days tax is charged, some days not. One reviewer wrote that the place is filthy which is no exaggeration. Then theres the wireless network. I can go to any Starbucks in town and connect effortlessly and remain connected. Not so at this Cup O Joe. The wireless network is atrocious. As Im writing this now the network disappeared and with luck will reconnect in a few minutes. Im really disappointed in the current status of this establishment, its as if they have taken their customers for granted. The former manager went to another location and is sorely missed, the ship has drifted in his absence.

I absolutely used to love this place. When I was in college Id come here for long study days, but it appears as though the place hasnt been maintained at all over the years (yes, I was in college 10 years ago). the flooring is falling apart, the entire place is filthy, and even the upholstery on the booth seating is completely ripped. It breaks my heart because I love Staufs and really believe in the company. But the Clintonville COJ needs a major rehaul. As someone who lives in the heart of Clintonville, Id love to see a renovation similar to what happened to the old German Village COJ.

If I could give this a negative star I would! The place is filthy, the staff looks like they haven't showered for a week. If they don't know you it will take a moment for them to stop talking to their friends to help you. I love how they have a tip jar at the register and then one where you pick up just in case you missed the first one. I have walked a mile PAST this place to go to another coffee shop. Did I say the place is filthy?!?! Try a mop.

A neighborhood staple for more than a decade. The coffee is good at a very fair price. The staff is prompt and the place is typically clean. As I am a frequent visitor here, I have to say that the store has seen some heavy use over the years and its starting to show. Im confident the neighborhood will forgive them if they close for a short time to remodel, fix some things and give their staff some new equipment.

Large variety of coffee and other drinks plus desserts and snacks in a very relaxed atmosphere. The staff are very friendly, helpful and seem to have been there forever. My favorite thing about this place is how laid back it is. Once you get your drink and snack you dont feel rushed at all! Just take a seat, watch the world go by, enjoy your book and your afternoon.

I really like the location of this store & the coffee, but its pretty gross on the inside. They are in need of a deep clean or remodel. I keep going here because of good coffee & location but the workers usually look like they havent showered and some have an odor you can smell over the counter...

I love the espresso drinks. My normal is a medium three-shot Americano, which is never too bitter, even when I bump it up to four. Their dark roast is great, as well. Awesome staff, and pretty great food as well. My only complaint is they run out of their jalapeno cheddar bagels all the time! 5/5

Quaint neighborhood coffee shop. Pretty good unless you want a pour-over. I interrupted the barista from his crossword to do a Kaldi pour-over but he said the sales volume and limited staff didnt justify having that capability. The Cup O Joe at Lennox was more than happy to oblige.

Nice place to hang with a friend, have an informal meeting, or work on your laptop. Seating is pretty cramped, so dont expect to have a private conversation. Drinks are good and the place has a cool artistic vibe like Starbucks might have been when it first started.

I like this place and I want it to have much better lattes than big corporate giant coffee shops but it really doesnt. How can you serve a latte without microfoam? The small amount of foam makes it a latte, without this its a boring espresso and steamed milk.

Good flavored coffee. Also ibc root beer. Yummy. Nice quiet spot. Not too busy on a Thursday afternoon. Alas, the espresso machine was broken, but they were working hard to get it fixed. Very polite staff.

Its decent coffee, but as everyone has suggested the wi-fi is terrible. If youre looking for a place to get work down in the North Campus area youre better served by going to Kafe Kerouac down the street.
