I love this place--I dont know where to begin. The peanut butter brownies are homemade in their kitchen and have some Reeses Pieces buried in the peanut butter frosting. Also, all the prices of things are such that they come out to a number that ends in a zero or a five after tax is added--and many items end up totaling whole dollar amounts--brilliant! I found out yesterday that they add extra ingredients to their soups and then freeze individual portions that they heat up for people one at a time, which I also love. The other day I found out that they are now open 24 hours, and all the foods and drinks are available 24 hours as well! I dont even go there at night, but I think this is pretty cool. Somebody told me that it is Columbus "gay-friendly" coffee house--perhaps filling the void The Coffee Table left behind??? But Travonna is so much cleaner and friendlier than The Coffee Table ever was, in my humble opinion--and things like cleanliness and friendliness matter to me greatly. Anyway, I highly recommend.

Finally- a Short North Favorite is back in business! Short North Coffee House was a 24h staple a couple of years ago, but fell victim to the ever-rising prices of high st rent. Now, theyre back in a smaller location, but its still as cosy as ever. They still even have the cool fish! As an artist you can feature your art on the walls, and the entire cafe is still homey with absolutely delicious food and free wifi. They have treats from local places such as pattycake bakery, and serve fare all the way from ceasar salad wraps to personal pizzas. Everyone there is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and finally, august 14, 2017 will they be open 24h again! This is a fantastic, non alcoholic, late night place to be in High st thats safe, clean, well lit and popular. They have events you can attend. They have theme nights. Theyre still located on the corner of 5th and High. Theyre a locally owned business and we as students should absolutely support them.

I have been going to Travonna since they have opened and it has become one of my favorite coffee places in the Short North. They have great food, wonderful coffee, and low prices. Although I love the place last time I was there I felt rushed out. The lady that was working was extremely loud and unpleasant. She began cleaning an hour before they were closing, and although I do not mind that she was cleaning, she was louder than the music, making the few people in here feel uncomfortable, as if maybe we should leave early. I love Travonna, but not sure I would return for my studies if she was on shift. I would only give this a below average on my last experience, besides that they do deserve 5 stars.

The new decor is not up to par with the place I used to know. This version has cold blue lighting and walls nearly devoid of art. The music played here is of inconsistent quality and is often contradictory to the working environment that is otherwise implied by the construction of the space. That said, the coffee is cheap and refills are cheaper, the staff is extremely kind and the bathrooms are clean. The best part of this place is the mixed bag of clientele and of course, the biggest spread of hours I have ever experienced at a coffee shop (even thought theyre not currently 24/7. Im hoping that starts up again with fall classes) Welcome back Short North Coffee! You were missed.

This is the worst service I have ever received at any coffee shop. I was overcharged for a drink by one worker. When I questioned the price, he acted like a jerk and wouldnt concede that he overcharged me, and when the other worker brought the drink out to me, he patronizingly told me, "This isnt Starbucks." The two workers then proceeded to talk loudly about my order behind the counter, while I was sitting less than 8 feet away. I didnt bother to drink what they brought out and just left. The coffee sucks, the customer service sucks, and you have to buy a drink to use crappy internet and to use the bathroom.

Very chill place and was meant to be managed as such. The staff is laid back so if you want your shiny, perfect little corporate barista you may be in the wrong place. Of course without corporate big brother breathing down their necks some more mistakes are inevitably made. Personally, it just makes it feel real and warm and welcome. The workers are friendly within reason. Dont act pushy and hurriedly and dickishly and your barista will be more relaxed and less likely to make a bad/messed up drink and wont overcharge you. These bad reviews must be from people clearly not suited for this coffee bar.

I have been working with Inayat and Short North Coffee House for some time now. I highly recommend this coffee shop because I know the quality of service that is put into every order. The ingredients to make the meat, sandwiches and salads are so fresh and unbelievably delicious. The coffee isnt that bad either. I meet here for meetings every so often and I love the conference room that I can rent out; it even has a hook up for presentations.

I, too, have never been to Travonna. But the epic, diatribal, Lewis Black-esque review of November 13th...made me want to run, fast, as one might run from a marauding, soon to be mauling pit bull. What a nightmarish vision for what is ostensibly innocuous...a coffee house. First of all, if only half of what the reviewer wrote is true, Im still running. Second, ROTFLMFAO! Third, I gave them 3 stars simply out of mercy.

Open 24/7, which is awesome. EXTREMELY easy to get to- bus stops right there. Dimly lit, however, and a TV was playing all night. Extremely comfortable couches (I took a satisfying nap). Turtle mocha was pretty good and the barista was nice. Great place for gathering, but probably not the best for studying.

I was suddenly fired this week, for the fact that I already had plans for a night I was scheduled off work and was unable to come in to cover a shift I was called and asked to work. I feel this is highly unreasonable. The owners family are wonderful people, and I will miss all my customers.

Extremely laid back, casual environment is what youll find when walking into the Short North Coffee House. This place really adds to the character of the Short North and their coffees and deserts are only eclipsed by the friendly people who work there! --Cant wait for the new location!

Convenient streetside location, open 24 hours. I dont even drink coffee, but they have great steamers (hot flavored milk), herbal tea, etc. Also as others have mentioned, free wifi for customers. Local art is on display, the room is well-lit, clean and the staff are personable. :)

Very cool coffee shop thats open 24/7. Great place to grab a (delicious) chai and get some work done! They also have a large food menu that looks very tasty (although I have yet to try). Prices are a bit expensive, and parking is a pain, but I guess thats expected of the short north.

Nice atmosphere, you can park right down the street, live local music sometimes, and theres new art on the walls every month and its for sale! They have Vegan Muffins and they can use Soy Milk for your coffee, too! Very relaxed place to bring a laptop and work
