Harrowing experience ever. This place is full of people who have no respect for their customers. They are partial and particularly known for favoring nobody other than whites. The manager was particularly extremely illiterate and hateful in her behavior. she seemed a very sad person and bringing her personal dissatisfaction to this place. The food is not worth the money they charge for. We went to pick up our food and requested the manager for 2 plates, which she kept misunderstanding as 4 plates. and, she asked me in an extremely rude and confronting tone that if there are 4 people eating the food we ordered. And, i think that is none of her business to know what we are gonna do with the food. So, i told this incident to my girlfriend who was next to me. And, she went to ask one of the waitresses for the owner. To our disbelief, the same disgusting woman showed up and claimed that she is the owner. She was about to hit me it felt like. She was in such confronting. My gf could not take this behavior any longer, she revolted politely but, the manager showed us her extreme behavior and asked us not to come there. We were still polite about the whole situation and decided to walk out after she said that she doesnt care about what we have to say. They also didnt refund $18.96 for the food even when we decided not to take the food. I dont know how to react to all this disgusting behavior. So, i am trying to make people aware of this racial behavior. The day before when i went to pick up 2 Naan for myself, they started asking me what i am going to do with that food. and started making fun of me. I am a dignified computer professional and a bonafide citizen of this country. I did not sign myself up for this kind of ridiculous treatment by a lesser mind. I am NOT ever going to that place again.

I read good reviews about it and went for dinner with my wife. Things that led to 1 star review - 1. the tea was cold. On pointing that they just microwaved it for a min and served the same tea. In the end the lady (I believe the owner) argued that tea was fresh though it was prepared at 5:00 PM (and we were having dinner at 8:30 PM). At a fine dining place you do not prepare tea and store in flask but prepare on request. 2. The Veg Manchurian - the gravy was decent but it failed to penetrate the veg Manchurian balls. 3. The Dum Aloo - It was Idaho potato stuffed with a lot of stuffing and it has sweetish gravy. The person who prepared it had put in a lot of effort and could give the dish any name he wanted and it would have been good. But when you put it as Dum Aloo in the menu, the expectation of customer is that they will eat spicy Dum Aloo. 4. The Goat Curry - It had Chicken in it and the lady said since all the meats is placed together, it may have fallen in. I am sorry but you have to be careful what you prepare and serve cause that is your business 101. She gave me 10% discount for the tea and goat curry mix up. What she failed to understand that for $50 dinner for 2 is not inexpensive and we go there to have a good food and not for 10% discount. If I can pay $45, I can pay $50 as well. Anyways, I always give any restaurant 2 chances to impress me with their food. Everyone can have a bad day and it will not be right to judge anyone on their bad day. So Cumins, please be more professional and careful next time. I will not be impressed if your restaurant has been there for 10 or 20 years. I will be impressed by your food and service. Thanks, Nikhil

This is my second time visiting the restaurant and again this place has the best service that Ive seen at any Indian restaurant with the best, authentic food being served. Its not only my opinion, but also a collective thought of 4 of my friends. As everybody else has said, the servers at this restaurant are VERY polite and help you with any questions you have about the food. The food was served by the Chef, look so delicious with sizzling sound of the starters straight from the stove in a skillet. As soon as everyone started to taste the food, we realized something very important - the food was DELICIOUS! Everything was perfectly seasoned and we could all taste the delicious spices on the food. We ordered varieties of items from Biryani to Naan and several gravies and every single item was HIGHLY above average! Being an Indian, I confidently say that this is what authentic Indian food should taste like everywhere (even my own mother doesnt make Indian food this good!). The look and feel of the restaurant is on par (actually even better) then a lot of American restaurants. By tasting the food, you can tell that the food is cooked in healthy oil. A lot of other Indian restaurants makes food with unhealthy oil which makes everyones tummy inflated. I am not an opinionated person and often dont write reviews about restaurants, but to let everyone know what an amazing Indian restaurant this is, Im taking this time to post this review. Id be more than happy if more and more people realize what an incredible restaurant this is. Thanks!

Terrific experience. My first visit, dinner with a party of 5. The decor was nice, tables spaced far apart enough to enjoy conversation; but enough room for several large parties the night I visited. All of the food was great - very tasty, some of the best Indian food I have ever had...and I have traveled to India. We ordered lamb biryani, chicken korma, chicken tikka marsala, (something else I didnt get to eat), several naans and rice. The lamb was a little dry, but the biryani was good, and I would order it again. Service was great. The bill was much lower than I expected (we didnt pay attention to prices when we ordered). I highly recommend this place. We look forward to visiting again.

Update: now after having dined in, let me tell you how amazing this place really is. First, its got a really good ambience inside. Second, the staff were on point and were super friendly. Finally, the food ofc. Best chicken tikka Ive had in a long time! Best mango lassi! And they even have pistachio ice cream! :D I wish I could give a 4.5 stars. I guess Im a little shy of giving 5 stars as often, but they are definitely one of the bests I have had! *** Even though I did a take out and didnt sit in, the restaurant looked amazing. The takeout service was fast, and the lady(hostess) was really nice and welcoming. I would highly recommend giving this place a try, the food was great!

Cumin is overpriced when comparing it to other Indian Buffets in the area. Management there has changed hands too often for my liking. The current management (as of Feb 2012) added chinese-like food to the Buffet. I think with each new management, the food enjoyment gets downgraded. In the past we were able to let our small kids bring their chicken nuggets and burgers into the restaurant without objection so that way us adults could enjoy the heat of the Indian dishes there. But the new manager (as of Feb 2012) said we cannot let kids bring food from the outside. They lost my business and my friends businesses too because we all have small kids. Bye bye Cumin.
