Hit and Miss. Im sensitive to dairy products, let me lead with that. The first time we came it was a Saturday night. They were very busy, and we did have long waits. However our server was very nice, and the food was wonderful. I order the sweet potato roll without cream cheese, and it was super. It was just the sweet potato, scallion, rice and seaweed. The 2nd time, I came with coworkers at lunch. Once again I got the sweet potato roll with no cream cheese, and again it was just the potato, scallion, rice, and seaweed. Again it was wonderful, and the turn time at the table was much quicker than on Saturday night. The third time was when things went downhill. We came for lunch, and we had a large group. It seemed like we were putting the server out ( I dont want to mention the gentlemans name), but he came around to get our orders. I ordered the same roll and so did another of my coworkers because they tried mine the last time. They got one with cream cheese, mine was without. Theirs came out to the table first with a sauce on it. We talked about it, maybe it was cream cheese based and why mine did not have it the 2 times prior. However, mine came out with the same sauce. I asked our server about it, asking for one without the creamy white sauce. Its not listed on the menu, and it had never been placed on the roll before. The server got very upset with me. He told me that in the 5 years hes worked there, its always had the sauce. I was speechless, so the rest of our table told him about our prior visit, sans sauce. The server huffed away, complained about us to another server in front of us. They brought new rolls out, but mine had cream cheese on it. I asked him if I could please have it without. Again, a little stop to complain and then after the rest of the table finished eating, he brings me out the roll and walks away. Ive never felt like I was putting someone out so much as I did then. But, the roll had been unrolled and the chef scrapped off the cream cheese, because I could still see the white residue everywhere. I did not eat it. The server brought the bill, let me know he was annoyed that I did not want to pay for it. So, I paid my 2.00 for the fried rice and left. Im not going to judge the whole place on this poor experience because I understand how working in food service can go. I truly hope that the servers day improved. I will try again, but I will be avoiding this server in the future.

Honestly, I was pretty underwhelmed. My server was a nice guy but, was only seen when taking my order, bringing my food, and giving me my check. I understand he had someone else shadowing him but, the restaurant was rather empty so Im unsure where he was the whole time. I got the red chicken curry and it was ok. I didnt strike me as authentic as the other reviews made their food seem. My friend got hibachi fried rice with either chicken and shrimp and seemed to enjoy it. When we received our checks I was accidentally charged for fried rice even though I asked for white but, my waiter was apologetic and of course fixed the error. I dont know, maybe Im being a little over critical but, this place seems to be overhyped by people who are not really familiar with great Asian cuisine.

Basil was just ok. Theyre trying to do too many styles of asian cuisine at once without getting any of them to be all that great. The atmosphere was good and the service was excellent but the food was a bit of a let down. I had the pad thai which was pretty good but my girlfriend ordered the vietnamese pho which seemed like a cheap bastardization of what pho should really be which is unfortunate because to get a good bowl of that stuff is at least an hour and a half drive in any direction from Canton.

Came here for sushi while in the area on business. The Bartender was very nice and service was quick. The fish on top of the sushi roll was warm. Also it was probably the worst constructed sushi Ive ever seen (Kroger has better sushi). I told the Bartender that I would not be eating any more and he took it off my bill. He then proceeded to tell the sushi "chefs" in front of me that I said the fish was warm. They began to argue in front of me and basically say that I was lying. RUDE.

I went to Basils for the first time on a Wednesday night for dinner with my boyfriend. Every thing was perfect from start to finish. We enjoyed cucumber mojitos. For appetizer we had the crunch sushi roll and pot stickers. Both were amazing. My entree was pineapple chicken with white rice. My boyfriend had mango chicken with fried rice (we both agree the pineapple chicken was better). The entire staff was friendly and helpful. Food was served quickly. No complaints!

This is probably one of my top three restaurants in northeast Ohio. My two go-to dishes are the Coconut Spaghetti, and the Avocado Curry. I get both with shrimp. Try the saki sampler/flight...youll be surprised at how unique different sakis are. Do not leave this place without trying either the coconut ice cream or the spicy peanut butter ice cream. These dairy-free, homemade ice creams will change your life. Seriously. I love Basil Asian Bistro!

Great place, excellent servers. Although the last two times weve gone something was off on the bill, they have made it right each time. Ive encountered a few times where they dont have the ingredients for certain drinks listed on their menu. Not a huge deal but it is slightly annoying. Great food and atmosphere though and we always get treated with respect which is a huge plus!

This is not a Thai restaurant more like a Chinese restaurant. I ordered vegetables with tofu they put so much soy sauce it became very salty. I was looking forward to spicy thai food. Turned out to be a Chinese food. I didnt like the host, waiter was nice. Very disappointed with this place I drive 60 miles to eat thai food.

Amazing food, had the crispy egglant and the phukit curry, both were soooo good! I would definitely come back as this is my second time here even though I dont live in canton. Wife had avacado curry aka amazingness on a plate. She started off with the cocnut soup which was very alright, but probably just not my thing.

I found that the reviews were in line with my experience - good food (I had the tasty Panang with pork) a small but solid beer list (I had the terrific Great Lakes IPA) and first-rate staff (Alex was friendly, fast & knowlegable). Their menu is real broad, covering a lot of Asia, so everyone can find a dish for them.

This place is the bomb! I have lived all the country including San Francisco and this is the best Asian food I have ever eaten. Really classy, fresh ingredients, not greasy, lovely presentation and a beautiful restaurant. The service was outstanding, too! Dont miss this place in downtown Canton!

Sushi wasnt anything impressive. Compared to buffett sushi. Had a reservation and had to wait 15 minutes. Noodles..again, ok. Nothing special. Probably will stick with A1 or Wasabi for premium priced sushi. The spring rolls were great however.
