One should not visit Athens without hitting The Pub for a bite to eat. A classic establishment on Court Street that has never disappointed. The burgers are rediculously good. The atmosphere, at lunchtime, is laid back and perfect for us 50+ folks. While its been 30 years since I trod the bricks at Ohio University; Athens, in general, and The Pub specifically are on our itinerary if at all possible. An iconic college town establishment that really hasnt changed much over the years! Enjoy!!

Best Bar in Athens by far: If youre a regular & not an a-hole, the bartenders are they most loyal of any bar Ive been to in the US. Always has the best music. Cheapest beer. Hottest girls. Only bar in Athens with Sunday liquor sales. Also voted best burgers in Athens almost every year and they cost less than anywhere else.

The Pub has probably one of the best bar foods Ive ever had. The burgers and fries and onion rings are out of this world!! The owner is super sweet and the staff is always super caring and nice. Its a great place for lunch. My recommendation is the Sloppy Ben. Best burger on the menu!!
