This is arguably Akrons best coffee establishment. I drive roughly 15 minutes out of my way to get a cup here. I love the coffee - brewed to perfection. The employees are always willing to chat with me for a minute and they are insanely nice. I recommend this place to all my pals. Nervous Dog encompasses the true spirit of Akron. A great place to meet friends, read a book on a cold winter day, or just take your laptop to study.

Its very hard to find decent cawfee at a cawfee shop these days. Most of the time stale beans are used with poor brewing methods and the still charge you $5. Only been here one, but I had a cup of some aeropress machine where they used beans sealed in glass jars and made a cup that tasted like it was made from fresh beans and good extraction, and was only $3. Next time I am in the Akron area I will be back.

I do like this place. But if you are unlucky enough to get a barista who cares more about socializing than taking your order, heed my warning. You will not get what you want. I feel like Im breaking up a gathering just walking to the counter. I have experienced this on numerous occasions. UPDATE ! Service is so much better, baristas are lovely and warm. Completely changes the experience

The young man working there is very rude, my daughter and I stopped in after dance because she wanted a cookie. I felt like he wanted us to eat it outside in the cold and we were bothering him. He wad short with us and rolled his beady eyes the whole time. The young lady was a sweetheart and was very helpful, unfortunately I will never return because of his poor customer service.

Was very excited to try this cute lil coffee shop after reading the website and enjoying the quirky and very funny emails. But I walk in, No greeting! No cute barista girls! No cool atmosphere! Just a lil pimple-faced 13 year old boy that Did Not Greet me or say thank you or smile. Really bad customer service. Never going back. I can spend $11 on 2 coffees somewhere else!

Five stars because I will drive out of my way for it. I drink black coffee... boring... and at home I make pretty good coffee. But their coffee I cant exactly replicate at home. Their beans are very good. Five stars is "loved it". I dont 5 star lightly... theyre really that good. Again, speaking just for the plain black coffee (and the service - always nice bunch).

Never had a bad experience! The employees are all-around excellent. If they dont have something you want, they will custom make almost any drink you want, within reason (a chocolate truffle mint eucalyptus dog frapp just isnt going to happen). If you want a reasonably priced fancy coffee drink go to Nervous Dog and get one. Treat yourself, you deserve it!

Used to be fantastic... but has gone downhill since the owner (Michael) has become rude to his long standing regular customers. Also, the place has stopped roasting its beans in house, and all attention (maintenance wise) is now focused on the Stow location. I hate to say it, but I will be looking elsewhere for my coffee.

Like the other reviews, its a great place, but only if youre in and out. It is frustratingly small inside. If youre looking to stay a while, could be waiting a while before you get a seat or a table. Since I usually like to study, I have stopped going there and have found a equally great coffee shop that is not as busy.

Great coffee, tea, and specialty drinks. The atmosphere is warm, but not a bright coffee shop like most others, it is dimly light and gives off an antique store vibe. It is a really great place to study by yourself or with a friend. Service is great as well. Would recommend!

My favorite place to go to when my kids are at their dance lessons next door. Laid back atmosphere and friendly service! Kudos to them when I spilled my full drink and they made me anew one with out question or hesitation. Couldnt ask for a better barista!

I have lived in the area for over ten years and I had only ever heard of Nervous Dog. My friend took me here just today and we had a great time. Service was quick and uncomplicated, and my dirty chai was delicious. I will be back again without a doubt!

Why was I going to the Starbucks down the street? This place is so much better! Love the vibe, cool staff and they dont mind me using their free wifi for hours at a time while sipping on great coffee :) Im running up my punch card very quickly!

I would probably be here all the time if I didnt live a block away from Angel Falls. Nervous dog has great coffee and a really nice atmosphere. They seem to be really involved in the community and have lots of cool events going on.

I tried the coffee and their desserts. Both are very good. The place next door sells barbecued ice cream. Akron! The strangest thing was that they would NOT allow my dog inside. This ironically made him very nervous.

This is a lovely and nice environment.. Coffee is good enough and it is good that they are open until 10 pm. Not so far from Univ of Akron if you have a ride! Recommend trying it out!
