I have been to Angel Falls several times and have never really had a problem with it. In line with previous reviews, the staff has not been the most friendly-- There is one guy (I dont know his name) in particular that is incredibly rude. Today when I was there he very rudely informed me I couldnt eat my food in there (purchased from another popular establishment just down the street). When I asked why (because I was caught off guard with this) he rudely told me they have their own [overpriced, imo] menu and that McD would probably kick me out if I brought BK in. I have to disagree with his analysis-- in fact Ive eaten foods in other locations plenty of times and never had any issue-- Ive even eaten other foods in AF and even Starbucks before without a problem! So, due to his extreme rudeness in telling me I cant eat that (instead of just politely suggesting I not do it in the future, for example), I do not think Ill return to Angel Falls anymore. This is a real shame in my mind because I always love supporting local coffee shops and LGBT friendly businesses... but this is definitely not a friendly establishment in my opinion.

Ive been frequenting Angel Falls for more than a decade to enjoy the local atmosphere and the good coffee which, by and large, is always good quality. However, the customer service has severely declined over the years (which is a shame because it used to be much better.) Zach is usually grumpy and hard to deal with enough, but Dave is downright argumentative and extremely disrespectful. The last time I was there he made me the wrong drink (hot instead of iced) but when I corrected him he proceeded to argue with me and raise his voice even when the girl next to me informed him that no, HE had been the one to make the mistake. He repeatedly snapped at and talked over me to the point that I really just wanted to walk out. This is typical behavior there nowadays, and I am so fed up with some of the workers there thinking they are entitled to be so rude just because they know many of the customers as regulars. From now on I will be looking for another coffee shop.

I live a couple blocks away from Angel Falls, and I go to Angel falls about three times a week. Angel Falls is of a dying breed; small, independently-owned coffee shops that actually roast their own coffee beans. Theyve got a wide variety of different coffees, and an even wider variety of teas. Contrary to the review below, Ive rarely found Angel Falls quiet. Its the center of the community, the kind of place where the staff know what the regulars always get. The owners are very active in the neighborhoods association, and sometimes host community events like poetry readings, a book release by a local author, or an art show of work all by local artists. Just dont go on knitters night, Mondays and Fridays, or bring headphones if you do. I find it next to impossible to read with a bunch of old ladies blabbering in the background. Oh, and they also have free wireless internet!

Great Place for studying, meeting friends, reading, or just browsing the web. Ive probably spent like 200 hrs here studying through college, theres no better place in my eyes. the atmosphere is great, its a "real" place not just a plastic mold starbucks plopped down from corporate headquarters. In fact im in here right now writing this review. I felt obliged since ive been coming here for the past couple years and have always been treated farely and they have consistently the best coffee anywhere ive been, not just in the area (rafaels blend, costa rica, to name a few) Must stop for coffee drinkiners. as far as the complainers go, people have bad days, whether they are behind the counter at your local coffee shop or walking down the sidewalk next to you, it happens, get over it dont be so sensitive.

The atmosphere is quite enjoyable. The other people that enjoy the shop are very friendly and its a great place to find others that appreciate the town. The only complaint I have is that there is a particular employee that works there, bald mid-aged man - that is just horrendous. I have never been treated so poorly by another human being. He gawks at you as you enter as if he is just so displeased with your presence. Then when you order something he acts like its a chore to serve you. I love the feel of the place and the other employees are always kind, this employee though has made it hard for me to justify going back. I hope they do away with him as he is just the most unpleasant person ive ever encountered.

Like everyone says... Its great if you get the right employee. They make espresso drinks beautifully with amazing designs and ask how you are. If you have one of the rude employees they make you feel ignorant or unwanted. I swear they make espresso drinks bad on purpose. Which sucks since they are twice the price of a coffee. I will start making sure to only order regular coffee when they work now. Its a hit or miss and unfortunately the rude ones normal work in the mornings... Sigh. If service was more consistent, it would be the best little coffee shop around. Thank you so much to the employees that make me feel like family and make beautiful, delicious drinks.

The worst service Ive had at any place. What gets me is people want to support local businesses but when you can get a better product at a cheaper price and WAY better customer service at a place like Starbucks they make it easy for you to dismiss them. Every time I goto Angel Falls the workers make me feel like an absolute burden. They dont look at you, they mumble while staring downwards then get an attitude of you dont answer when you cant hear them. I even stood at the creamer station and watched how they treated the next couple customers thinking it was just me. Nope, next guy, next girl, it didnt matter. Its a shame this is how they treat their customers.

Just recently moved one block away from highland square. More than excited to venture around. Yesterday was the 2 time Ive been to angel falls coffee. Literally, the shop and products are perfect. However, BOTH times I got the worst experiences with the staff there. A gentlemen with a septum piercing didnt look at me one time. Same with another bald man from my first visit. They forgot my girlfriends drink, and they were dismissive and rude. I couldve blown $100 on products easily but I dont feel inclined to when I feel like a burden for ordering a drink. The volcanes are wonderful. The staff is not. I will be stopping in quite often once they hire new staff.

First time visiting this place. Was recommended by a friend. The barista was pretty rude-rolling his eyes at me when I was trying to ask questions. When he finished my drink, he just kind of threw it on the counter, took my card to run payment and continued talking to his coworker while I was waiting for the transaction to go through. No thank you, come back soon, nothing. Took my drink and left. Still tipped him because I always do but I wont return here. I cant support places that make me feel like Im not wanted. I could care less how "hipster" or "artsy" of a neighborhood it is, thats not an excuse to neglect having manners.
