To put this is the very nicest terms, this restaurant was underwhelming to say the least. Typically I like to read reviews, but tend to give them the benefit of the doubt still. My husband and I were disappointed though to have spent money here though for a couple of reasons: Cons- 1. If youre going to a buffet which offers chinese food as a family there are usually reasons why. In our case, our children are picky eaters. We like Chinese food as the adults, but our children tend to like more american foods. They are kids though, so this is normal. This buffet offered ONLY chicken nuggets. In honesty though, they looked gross, so we opted to not even give them to our son. Other than that, if you want "american" food, your choices are salad or fruit. Thats it. 2. Nothing was "spectacular" in any sense. Their pan fried pork wantons and cream cheese wantons were good, but that was pretty much it. Wanton soup-- okay. Lo mein was made with spaghetti noodles..... I could do that at home. Fried rice-- I have a better recipie that I can whip up in my kitchen and takes mere minutes to make. Generals chicken-- super sweet. I get that it didnt say general tsos chicken, but yeah... ugh. 3. Deserts are lacking immensely as well. Pizza ranch has a better selection, and thats not saying much. Pro: Huge restaurant and you didnt feel like you were intruding upon anyone while there. I dont know what else to say. If you eat here, dont expect to be wowd .... unless of course you are into subpar food. We ate there at 6:30 pm on a friday. There was no "hot" food. It was luke warm... and at that time on that night, in a town as big as Fargo, you would expect that there would be more freshness than there was. It was our first time there, and also our last. Eat with caution if you decide to give it a try........

Ive eaten a lot of standard Chinese restaurant food in cities where I lived including Chicago and Minneapolis, and I can say I am almost always disappointed by the quality of food at nearly every restaurant. HOWEVER, Giant Panda is this weird anomaly of PERFECTLY cooked made-to-order Chinese every time I have ordered or eaten there... And this is in Fargo, North Dakota. Being a vegetarian, I dont eat the buffet, which I think is unfair to expect to be perfect like other reviews have complained about. Its a buffet: the food will not be straight from the kitchen and therefore NOT perfectly textured and temperature controlled, which is why Michelin Star restaurants arent buffets. But if you order made-to-order, I dont think youll be disappointed. The flavors are spot on, especially for run-of-the-mill dishes. Dont expect strong heat or uniquely elevated spices, as this is Fargo after all, and the main customer base wouldnt respond to that. Add some Sriracha, and youll be set. But if you want perfectly cooked vegetables (and meats? Ive only ordered tofu) with wonderfully savory sauces, Giant Panda is the way to go! The price point on the food is good, with good portions. Definitely worth the money.

This is the first time that I went out of my way to type a review on Google, I usually use the reviews just for reading purposes before i try a new place. I will admit, the very polite miss who answered the phone and took my order said my delivery may take 45min to an hour as an estimate was a bit conservative. It came almost 20 minutes sooner than she anticipated. Theres nothing more that a hungry person gets peeved by than wanting food soon, and it ends up coming sooner. "Why be so convenient? ". And I personally ordered the house special lo mein and fried wontons appetizer. This is my first time having delivery from here, btw *thats "by the way" btw. So $16 worth of food. Not bad considering all delivery meals prices that are comparable. But this is the first tIm I have ever ordered any forn of Asian food delivery and not only didnt end up throwing some left overs away, but I didnt have left overs for tomorrow at all. I would highly recommend.

By far the worst experience Ive had at a restaurant. The minute my fiance and I walked in the door it felt awkward. The entire place was dead at 5 PM, we stood and waited for 2 minutes for someone to show up and take our order and to top it off, when someone finally showed up, they didnt say "hello". Instead they asked if we were eating in and took our money. Extremely rude! Once we sat down it got worse. There was a gentleman working (must have been the supervisor) and spent the whole time walking around telling his employees to do things while cussing about random things such as sports. He than proceeded to sit down at a booth 2 way from my fiance and I and began sharpening his personal knife...basically looked like a gangsters knife. Dont eat here if you have a family or are on a date.

I called once to place an order, and I simply asked if rice came with the meal and the woman who was placing my order stopped talking, so I thought she went to ask another employee, so I waited for seven minutes before hangin up. Then, a few minutes later, I got a call from the police because the Giant Panda reported my number for calling too many times (but I only called once) and when I tried to place my order again when I called the Giant Panda back, they forced me to use my debit card and placed a ridiculous gratuity fee on my bill, but we ordered it anyway. It tasted like cat.

I was extremely skeptical about ordering DELIVERY from this place after reading the other reviews posted here. However my only complaint is that the serving sizes seem ill-fitted to the price - meaning, I expected more food for the price we paid, $39. They delivered right to our hotel room. On time no less. As for the actually food - I was greatly surprised how good it was. It wasnt drenched in sauce, like so many other places do. The House Fried Rice was amazing! As well as the rice noodles.

Have ordered the food plenty of times. While its not great, its better than most. Today, I tried to order for pickup and after ordering and giving my number, they put me on hold, someone else picked up. They asked what I wanted, so I told them again. They asked for my number, so I told them again. I had ordered delivery in the past, so he starts reading off my address and I told them it was for pickup and then he asked what I wanted again. I told them forget it and hung up

The first couple times we had take out from here it was decent nothing special.. But tonight it was awful! Everything had a metallic after taste or something. I am praying that my family hasnt been food poisoned! I called the manager and all she had was excuses and offered to pick up the food and bring fresh back..? Thanks but no thanks! Never again will we be getting food from here. EAT HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

Looks OK from the door, where you pay first. Mixed reviews were there for a reason. Food was mediocre at best. Some was super hot but most was warm or somewhat old. The place was clean but looked like another half hour after close would really make it better. Just not CLEAN clean. And it was warm and muggy inside. Tried it and FAIL. NOT returning. I cant suggest another place, bit I recommend another locale for your meal... :|
