Worst service Ive experienced in years made worse by unprofessional and inept management. Salads took 40 minutes to come out... and entrees took 66 minutes! When I asked for a Manager (one didnt just come out mind you) - I was met by the hostess who described herself as a "Jack of all Trades" - great start. She took no accountability for how long our food took... even though tables who were seated 15 minutes after us were served first. She said food typically takes 45-60 minutes on a Friday night. (Which is ridiculous if thats really the case... ) We were sat at 6:20 and the restaurant wasnt even half full at this point... so I dont consider it a legitimate excuse. All she had was excuses. No apology for our poor service or bad experience. No offer to do anything for us. (Which we didnt expect anyway since we had already paid) but an offer would have been nice. Very disappointing when a restaurant with good food has no real leadership and no accountability for mistakes made. We will not be back based on terrible experience with management. Unacceptable when we have so many top notch restaurants in Winston to visit instead!

My son called in an order for Lasagna an he said it was the worse he ever had. There was no Ricotta Cheese in it and the cheese is what makes it good. I can get better Lasagna in the freezer section at the grocery store. It was nothing but Layers of Lasagna Noodles cover in sauce. Then i gave them another try. I wanted baked Spaghetti, ordered for pick up. Told the lady taking the order i wanted the marinara sauce and go lite on that. To much of that sauce is over powering, get it home and it is floating in it plus with what looked like a sandwich slice of cheese on top with even more sauce on top of that. Most places ive been to for bake spaghetti has what looks like grated cheese all over the top and baked! I want go back. I can go to the food court @ the mall and get better pasta.

Ive had a mixed experience here. Heres what I like. Not usually super busy...but we go off hours. Servers are good. Chef talks to customers. Food is good and very well priced. What I havent liked is the times my food has come out cold and my cheese not melted. Im not a complainer so no, I didnt say anything. This only happened one time which is why they are still getting 4 stars. They have some really great Italian street food too which is fun. I am recommending this restaurant over a lot of the other places in town. However, if you are looking for "fancy" or a date place, look elsewhere. To me, this is fast casual so sometimes Im in the mood for something a little more formal.

Found this place and loved it! The staff is wonderful, the ambiance is cozy, the restaurant is clean, the bathroom is immaculate, and above all, they have a nice variety of food to order and the food is excellent. Im Italian and its rather challenging for me to find an Italian place to eat that I truly enjoy, and this place exceeded my expectations. Its a place I would even bring my pops too and he is more of a stickler when it comes to Italian food than I am. Really looking forward to our next visit to try something new. Complements to the chef!

Delicious! Without a doubt, one of the best kept secrets in Winston-Salem. The food is exceptional and some of the best in town. We have been eating here since they opened and actually followed Carmine here from Francescos at Northpoint. My favorite is Spinach Ravioli with the Artichoke/Red Pepper Sauce and my husband feels the luncheon Sausage Parmigiana is the best he has ever eaten. Plus, Carmine makes the best soup since the "soup nazi" on Seinfeld retired. A MUST visit. ENJOY!

Went there last night and the chicken tasted like it was marinated in A1, the Carbonara was too overpowered with what appeared to be real bacon and couldnt chew it, the bruschetta had way too much garlic it burned my mouth and the lamb chops my husband ordered look like they were cut in half of normal size and they were over cooked. Plus the drinks were watered down. Not sure where Ball mason jars and clay flower pots fit in the Italian world. Worst $57 ever spent.

Only ordered through delivery but the tiramisu is awful, tastes like flavored cool whip, has no lady fingers but a small layer of chocolate?why?, and definitely no amaretto. The gelato has crystals in it so the texture is off. The portions of the desserts were tiny for $5 each, completely over-priced. And the only entree I tasted was a sub which was average, at best. Definitely pass on this place.

Whether you are in a suit or in a pair of overalls (thats what I had on.) this place gives the same exceptional service. The staff is very attentive and courteous. The Italian cuisine is spot on from the owners hometown. I especially like the fact that the owner has time to say hello and thank you to the patrons. This is quickly becoming mine and my wifes goto place for a relaxing evening.

As far as authentic Italian food goes in Winston-Salem, Francos has some of the best. One of our favorite appetizers is the Mozzarella in Carrozza (fried cheese covered in marinara sauce) & the house dressing is delicious. Just about all of the entrées are excellent and the waitstaff is friendly. Dont walk, RUN to Francos Restaurant!

Wanted to place an order to go, but was told it would be about 45 minute wait because the in house guest took priority.... Really? That told me. You are not as important, your money does not count, so take your business elsewhere, so I did. It was just as good if not better. That is how you put yourself out of business.

WINGS!!! As a frequent flyer to eating wings around the Forsyth county....and there are many that provide such tasty flavors; i just enjoyed eating the Best Chicken Wings. I found them at Carmines. They are cooked totally different and are outstanding. Add a great pizza and you have an exceptional salivating journey.

My guest and I stumbled upon this restaurant and was very satisfied by the service, food and ambiance. Our server was personable and professional. He was attentive and enhanced our experience. We ordered lasagna , gnocchi, chicken buffalo soup and salmon chowder. Everything was delicious! I highly recommend it.

Food is delicious! Five family members in our group but enough food for 10! Staff is attentive, helpful, and kind. Not just our server, but everyone. Chef stepped away for a moment to come to our table so we could thank him personally. Put Carmines on you must try list! You wont be disappointed.

Tried this restaurant, carry out, for the first time tonight, and just seemed like a typical chain. Walked in, employees acted a little awkward, pizza was really delicious, and tiramisu is the worst Ive ever had. All in all, if youre wanting a good quick pizza, its not a bad place.

One of the guys that works here was very rude and disrespectful to my sister. The food is good but if some of the employees that work there are going to keep on being disrespectful to my sister or anyone else and just plain mean and stingy then I am going somewhere else.
