My fiance and I went there for dinner. The menu sounds like the food will be great and the look and feel of the place seems nice and welcoming but the food was horrible. I was hungry so I got 8 wings and a burger. My fiance had a California chicken salad sandwich on wheat bread. My $12.50 wings claimed to be crispy and hot but when they arrived just by looking at them you could tell they were going to be bad. They were nothing more than just cheap baked wings that were most likely bought from Food Lion ( Its in the same Plaza they are in ). I would rather have Tyson Chicken Wings over these cheap small baked $12 wings. My $12.50 Burger was flavorless but the lettuce was fresh... honestly thats all I could really taste / remember about that. I ordered a burger with Swiss cheese, lettuce, crispy onion strings and pickles. But the only thing I can remember about the burger was the lettuce... My fiance had the $8.95 California chicken salad sandwich on wheat bread with $1.50 Roasted tomato vegetable soup she says that the sandwich was "Tasteless and thrown together also the ingredients that make a chicken salad sandwich were just placed on top and not inside so most just fell right out of it" and the soup was just "lumpy and tasteless" So as you can see we spent about $37 with tax on this meal, with no alcohol, and to say we were disappointed would be an understatement.

The manager would start fights with the customers who complain. yell at and throw the money change back at them. And would start fights with customers. By giving them the wrong order. Yell at , talk back rude and rush to get rid of, Interrupt and repeat the same questions. Walk away form talking to female customers, rush to get rid of , Walk away in the middle of giving the meal. And not come back. Eat food while wait on customers. The employees are the same way . Not all of them. And the prices are moderate. Not volunteer to tell females that the food is ready. The many tables are dirty and employees not clean it up. Customers have problems trying to find a table. The prices are moderate. And employees get angry about complaintsWhen they give food order that are wrong. to customers. There are many other restaurants in the area. That are better. The decor is plain.

The carrot cake they order is the best Ive had this far. Food way too expensive for the lack of taste in many things. The chicken fingers are seasoned well, but you only get 3. The BLT, the bacon used is mad cheap, you get no flavor, the mayo & lettuce become the star. One of the preparers had his family come by for free lunch & slobber right in front of a whole room full of patrons. Theres a time & a place for food & for foreplay. Not together in a very public eating room. Over fall their ok.

Ive never had a problem with paying a premium for a premium meal. On the other hand, being ripped off really peeves me. Paying $9.50 for a 4-inch long "sub" sandwich with about $2 worth of meat on it (literally, 5 slices of meat - I took it apart in disgust) is, in my opinion, being robbed. If you can get past that, and arent worried about still being hungry after paying almost $10 for lunch, this place is for you. If you hate being ripped off like I do, choose someplace else.

The Village Deli doesnt have a bad thing on the menu. Its a crowd favorite at our office and we often eat in and order out for a meeting. Other reviews here stating higher prices - yes. This isnt Schlotzskys or Quiznos. 5 dollar footlongs are at Subway. Head that way. If you want pre cut deli meat that was sliced 4 weeks ago, these are your options. From the burgers to the fish and chips to the deli sandwiches (best chicken salad Ive ever had), then go to the Deli.

This is for the service. I went in to order a BLT during lunch and was greeted with an attitude behind the register. After ordering my $8 BLT and requesting that they prepare it with black pepper I was instructed to use the pepper packets at the drink bar. Then I watched my total reach over $12 with a drink. I left after that. Food could be great but for $12 they should know how to season a sandwich with pepper.

I am sad to write this review. I love the food at Village Deli. Everything I have had there has been delicious. What gives this review a one is the staff in the back complaining loudly about how customers are arriving after they turned off the fryer. How about you turn that off when you actually close and not 30 minutes prior? Also, cutting rude glances at your customers is simply not okay.

Great little deli with fresh eats and proper proportions. I could easily recommend sandwiches and burgers, and even their salads go the extra mile in satisfaction. Though I dont usually get too excited about sweet potato fries, theirs are among my favorites that Ive ever had; simple, yet tasty.

Absolutely love the island chicken sandwich. Its even better if you add Swiss cheese, and substitute the mayo with their delicious sundried tomato aioli. Their burgers are also really flavorful, cooked perfectly and juicy but with a crispy crust.

I love village deli and grill off of Lake Boone Trail! The crowds arent too bad during peak hours, the food is great, and the staff members are eager to help in a friendly manner. Im impressed!

For a little over $11 I got a avocado turkey brine panini and a bag of chips. The flavors were great, but the panini was pressed kinda to long for my liking. Other then that Id go back

Thought this was a bit expensive for the experience. Food was so so at best...no wait staff, order at the register and come get it when the call your name. Not been back since.

Yummy sandwich, but not a whole lot of innovation or flavor development. Solid sandwich shop for lunch on this side out town, but I certainly wont go out of my way for it.

The menu has all the deli essentials and the quality is always above average. The Reuben is good but the Avocado Turkey Brie Panini and Turkey Brie Croissant are better.

Food was okay. I had one of the daily specials. Nothing bad really but it didnt knock my socks off either. The parking can be a bit of a pain also at times.

This is a pretty nifty deli and very comfortable if its not too crowded. I really enjoy the Pats spaghetti special on Tuesday nights.

Been eating at Village Deli for years at Cameron Village. Now live near the Lake Boone restaurant and they are excellent too.

Fast and friendly service, outdoor & indoor seating, and surprisingly tasty sandwiches. Not your average sandwich shop.

Very mediocre. Only went once. Nothing wrong with the place, just not memorable. I miss the old Second City Grille!
