After waiting 10 minutes to be seated even though the restaurant was mostly empty, the hostess wanted to seat us next to a couple who were chain smoking. I thought North Carolina restaurants were supposed to be smoke free!! When I said no thank you as I dont want my pregnant wife sitting next to the smokers and after several eye rolls and a pout by the hostess, she moved us into another area of the restaurant (the Library). I thought ok, maybe it is was just a bad hostess, I wont hold it against the restaurant. I ordered one of the daily specials, lamb shank with mashed potatoes. My wife ordered the chicken pot pie special. When my dish arrived, the mashed potatoes were warm but not hot. Lamb shank is typically slow roasted and generally just falls off the bone, no knife necessary. Apparently no one taught the chef how to cook lamb shank! The meat was so tough that I could barely cut it from the bone and even my mother-in-law noticed I was struggling with it. What a waste of lamb shank and my money! This was strike number two. I ended up eating the remainder of my mother-in-laws shephard pie as I was still hungry after struggling with the lamb shank. It was ok and at least filling. While the family was trying to make the best of the situation and enjoy the company, someone cranked the music up to dance club levels. WTF were they thinking? It was only 7pm! The few other tables in the Library room were obviously distressed and we were all looking around with irritated/puzzled looks on our faces. My father-in-law was able to get them to turn it down but I was thinking strike three by this point. We decided to get dessert. Again, I chose one of the daily specials (even though I had not been very successful with specials to this point) and ordered the apple crisp. My wife ordered the molten chocolate cake. My crisp was ok though not really worthy of being called a special. My wifes molten chocolate cake was dry and she left most of it on the plate. Overall, the service was poor, and the food was very disappointing. The only good thing about this restaurant is that they serve New Belgium beers on tap. That is it.

I was looking for a nice place with an atmosphere of a old style pub, I thought I had found such a place online. Even the menu looked inviting online but as usual things change in person. When ordering I was told that one of the meat items was not available with no offering of anything to replace it. Even when the meal arrived I had to tell the wait staff that the bread was missing. I had to order an extra meal just to "GET ENOUGH" to eat. I did notice that the other people that seemed to be regulars had NO problems with service or the helpings on their plates. So if your a first timer BEWARE, as for the cost "LOOK OUT" make sure you just got paid or won a lottery because it is NOT reasonably priced for what you get. Also if you happen to be handicapped like me you will NOT find ANY parking places close to the door but that is the fault of the managing company for the mall. It is such a shame these days not to be able to find a place that you can go to have a reasonably priced good meal with friends that has an atmosphere that is like the old world pubs.

My girlfriend and I ate at Trali last Tuesday. I was a little skeptical at first but we warmed up to it pretty quickly. Its good to have a staple pub to rely on in Brier Creek. The ale house is ok, but too damn loud and smokey. The butternut squash soup we had as an appetizer was among the best Ive had anywhere ever... and thats saying a lot. There was something very subtle and nicely done about it. Shepards pie I had for dinner was overall quite good also. My girlfriend had a Jamaican chicken sandwich... fairly typical pub fair but good as well. The service was above average and the decor was thorough and not too cliche as one might expect in a new pub. The quality of the interior is fairly nice. A problem I had was that the a/c was blasting too much. It was too cold in there which is typical of most restaurants here. Also would recommend they offered nachos and beer specials, but thats mainly for my preference. Id definitely recommend this place to friends and plan to go again after work today for a few pints.

Wow, I expected a lot from this place. I love Irish bars, so I was looking forward to going here. I arrived with my date in the evening, the place was almost empty so when I saw the host, I said "Can we grab a table?". He (fat dude with a beard) gave me a sneer and replied "I can GIVE you a table." The balls this fat f**# had. Normally he would have gotten a mouthful and I would have asked for the manager, but I didnt want to ruin the date. We sat down, he gave us the menus and walked away. No "Enjoy, Welcome to Trali, etc." Nothing. OK, so we got a waiter that seemed nice. He was. But when he didnt clear our empty plates for about 10 minutes, I waived him down and asked him to take them away. He mumbled, "Wow, I cant believe it". My date said to me, "WTF is the problem with these people?" I cant recall a worse service Ive had in my life. I have to admit that the decor is nice here, but the staff sucks big time. It doesnt look like anyone enjoys working there. Usually a sign of bad management.

Good place for a pint. They have a nice selection of English and Irish drafts, but it is far from an Irish pub. It is far from Hibernian, but better than the Ale House. Someone should tell the owner that High Def TVs with NASCAR DONT BELONG IN IRISH PUBS! The music selection is poor and doesnt have an Irish tone to it. The wood throughout the restaurant is compressed junk wood stained to look like oak, but has a cheap feel to it. The food is sub-par. Nothing truly Irish about it (I should know Im Irish). Its typical bar food with a semi Irish theme. I swear the Shepherds Pie was nothing more than beef broth covered with mashed potatoes. If youre looking for something quieter than the ale house with better service and without the rif-raff, come here. Good place for a drink, but stay away from the food. If youre looking for an Irish Pub, make the trip to the Hibernian in Cary.

I had a made a reservation for 9 people 3 months in advance. Upon arrival we were seated quickly but that is the only thing that happened in timely manner... We waited over 30 minutes for our food. Meanwhile the two tables of 6 in our section and one table 3 (all of which who were seated after my party) received their food before us. I waited 30 min for a cosmo cocktail which when came to the table was red and did not taste like a cosmo. When I asked the manager what is taking so long she said there were a lot of people at the bar and the people at the other table ordered fish n chips... not sure what that has to do with my party when the location knew 3 months ago.... I would recommend this place if you want to order fish n chips or have a drink at the bar because you will be served quickly. Other than that, I do not recommend this place.
