For quite sometime I have thought to try Buffalo Bros. but HATE going down Capital Blvd. So today I sucked it up and decided not to let an awful street to drive on stop me from a craving I had for "Authentic Buffalo Style Pizza". Look I grew up in Buffalo and have distant relatives operate the busiest pizzeria in Buffalo, La Nova. Even though La Novas is my favorite, the fact is there are many places to go to get an excellent slice of pizza in Buffalo. So upon reading the info on Buffalo Brothers website I was sold & figured it wouldnt be as good as La Novas but like I said many places in Buffalo have great pizza. These guys at Buffalo Brothers say that they are from Buffalo and wanted to bring down the best food Buffalo has to offer including wings, pizza, Beef on Weck, etc, so I figured I had a good chance to satisfy my craving. I ordered two large pizzas to go and I hate to say it but was very disappointed. First of all this "Large Pizza" would be called medium back home. I thought it was small. But once I tasted it, I was glad it was. Dont get me wrong it wasnt bad tasting, but it wasnt even close to being as good as what you can get from ANY Buffalo Pizzeria. Just like building a house, you need to have a sound foundation to have a quality house, pizza needs to have good crust . The crust did not look hand made, if it was Id be shocked. It honestly looked and tasted like grocery store crust. I also thought they were skimpy on the sauce and cheese. The sauce wasnt horrible but, even if it was good, when you put good sauce on poor quality crust, it doesnt matter. Another giveaway that the crust wasnt hand made is hand made crust has a rolled edge and is not flat. Also it didnt taste like it was freshly made, it tasted like it was heated up, just a cheese pizza with toppings added to order. I will give them one more try for the beef on weck and wings because I being from Buffalo, I really want to like them, but not good so far.

UPDATE 10/04/2016 They have pretty much completed the remodel. The place is looking great and they now have a really nice beer selection on draft. Lots of NC selections. The bathrooms have been nice and clean for the last 6 mos or so. We typically visit once a week. The bar staff continues to be professional and friendly. Honestly the food at other locations is much better, and it doesnt bode well that just about every time I come the manager is sitting in the dining room watching TV as if hes at home in his living room. I always sit in the Bar. All of the bartenders have been professional and attentive. Which is why I keep coming back, well that and its the closest location to my home. Also, the bathrooms are so smelly of urine I wanted to gag so I brought it up to the manager and instead of seein to it he gave the excuse " its the morning crew, theyre supposed to pour Clorox down the drain and it takes care of that smell instantly" then went back to sitting and watching tv. He actually gave me an excuse and shifted the blame on someone else and proceeded to do nothing about it. I was just thinking to myself " its the drain? You dont think that the rivers of piss under the urinals that went all the way to the drain had anything to do with it?" I mean come on! Youre management and a customer told you that it stunk so bad I had to hold my breath and you blow it off when it supposedly is a 1 min pouring bleach down the drain? Must have been a damn good game on tv is all I can think!!! Again, the bartenders do a good job.

Ive been to this Buffalo Brothers two times. The first time my boyfriend and I got a Groupon that said $11 for $20 of food. So that time went ok, they accepted our Groupon and everything. We had burgers, and they werent all that great, but they were decent. They didnt have that yummy grilled taste and the edges werent crispy. I got steamed veggies for a side, but it turned out to be just broccoli, carrots and cauliflower mix that looked like they were average frozen from a bag like you get at the store. The second time was worse. This is a couple months after our first visit. We bought the Groupon again - same Groupon. I got the fish fry, which was pretty good. My boyfriend got a burger, which he said was just as plain as last time. We had to get the attention of the waitress every time we needed something. Anyway, when we were finished, we tried to use the Groupon and the waitress brought the manager over who told us that its 2 Groupons that have a $10 value each and you have to use at separate visits. I told him we used it last time, but he didnt care and didnt own up to the mistake of his staff members. They were rude to us and frankly, I feel that their deal on Groupon is deceitful and sneaky. I understand that it is in the fine print or whatever, but its sneaky. You end up spending WAY more than you save because you have to go there twice. At this point I dont want to go back because of their poor service and low quality food, but now we have to unless we want to waste the money we already spent on the Groupon.

I tried Buffalo Brothers on a whim one night, after a long day of moving. I was glad I did. I went up to the bar and drank a beer while waiting for a pizza to go. The bartender. (Im ashamed to say I cant remember his name) was great. Younger guy, want to say his name was James, but that would be way off, who knows? Anyway, he was friendly and knowledgeable about the many beers they have on tap. The pizza was great and the IPA he recommended was great, too. I dont remember which one that was either! We recently visited again for lunch and got chicken tenders. I will admit that I was surprised that I didnt really like them, especially after the menu advertised them as "The Best Chicken Tenders on Planet Earth" or something like that. But hey, we were there at an odd time, kinda late lunch-ish, and Ive worked in the food industry before. The tenders clearly had already been prepared, because the food came out in less than five minutes. I will definitely go back and try a few more things from the menu. Even if it ends up that I only like the beer and pizza, the staff makes the place worth visiting. Ive read other reviews and see that the owner frequently replies to them. The bartender told me the place has been there since 2003. Those two things tell me that they care about the business and want customers to have a good experience. A lot of sports bars dont last 14 years. Keep up the good work!

I just left. I came in for a quiet drink and some wings. I needed an outlet, so i had 1 booth to choose from. It was crammed into a corner, and i didnt fit very well, jammed between the booth and the table. I ordered a Cuervo on the rocks with lime. It was very, very watered down. I then asked if they had garlic parm wings. I was told yes. What they have is the typical buffalo wing sauce with some garlic in it. Further, they are buying the cheap, small wings -not the wings a restaurant that specializes in wings should serve. They are small. A few times while eating, i noticed bright pink/red wings that seemed suspect -im concerned i ate chicken that was too raw. I got a tiny tub of blue cheese. I had to ask for a second. I also had to ask for napkins -not a big deal, but come on... anticipate. The server was nice, even while i was clearly disappointed and might have been grumbly. When the bill came, it was $20 plus tip for 10 low quality wings and a watery cuervo. I feel ripped off. Shu
