We were driving by thus place and decided to stop by. Im Mexican. I speak Spanish. And I can assure You this place is the most unprofessional and disgusting place Ive ever been to. The cooks and servers talk crap and laugh their hearts out about their customers. Their ground beef tasted old and frozen. Very very old. I asked to speak with the manager and he straight up lied to me and told me They had cooked It a few hrs before we got there. This place is disgusting.

This places food and service is amazing. Their drinks are good also. As mentioned in a previous review it was stated the do talk trash in spanish, about everyone customers and eachother. Definitely isnt a reason to miss out on some good food and chips. If you dont speak spanish and even if you do you can tune it out. Like you would any other rude people talking loudly. Just enjoy the good food.

The food was weird. Had like a heart vessel in my carnitas and very fatty meat in the burrito. The carnitas, beef and beans were all bland and the overall prices were expensive for what you get. I guess its hit or miss because Ive been here before, maybe 2-3 years ago, when it was decently tasty, but this time was such a big miss.

I always come here and order burritos and I think it was about time I gave my favorite restaurant a review they deserve. Absolutely affordable burritos and I only work as a server from several blocks away. My go to place for comfort food without having a huge chunk of my money spent away. Just a Tip: The burritos are amazing.

Best Mexican place in Currituck, which I know doesnt say much but it is delicious. Staff is super friendly, food is good and comes in large portions, and the chips and salsa keep flowing. The place could be cleaner and the decorations are that from a party store but the food and staff alone keep me coming back.

We used to live in the area and were recently passing through again to go to VA. We stopped at El Potrillo and were very pleased. We all had delicious food and great service. Im glad our fine Currituck County friends now have something besides La Fogata!

Very tasty food at reasonable prices. They have the best salsa and white sauce of anywhere I have been lately! I usually order their taco salad with shredded chicken and it is delicious. Also, you cant beat their daily lunch specials.
