Food was excellent, service was lacking and I was only getting a to go order. This place is always busy so I wanted to give it a try. Stopped in, placed my order and paid (with a tip). Had to help the hostess find ACP (arroz con pollo) on her computer, then had to help her find "vegetables". In her defense, she was busy seating, checking out, training a new employee, taking to go orders, etc. She did go back to check on my order once in the 45 minutes I was waiting. They were seating people constantly, and I watched some get their food and pretty much eat it all. I watched other to go orders walk in, place, pick up, and leave. I seen one unhappy to go order come back to be fixed. Finally I snagged a guy who was asking someone else about their order and he got on top of it. In the mean time, the hostess came back out to tell me that she did not charge me for the veggies and that next time there would be an up charge. Ive been waiting 40 minutes at this time and would have walked out if they didnt already have my money. Fortunately the food was great and my family enjoyed our late supper. There might be a next time to pay for the veggies and provide a higher rating. Hopefully management can get the hostess doing less and providing better service.

The food was pretty mediocre, to be honest. I have enjoyed Papas and Beer at different locations before, but this one was lackluster. The service and atmosphere were decent, but the food tasted... off. I got an order of shrimp azada. The shrimp were not fresh, and the rice was not flavorful at all. The beans, on the other hand, where excellent, but certainly not worth the ten dollar price tag of my meal. The staff was courteous, if a little understaffed and the place was clean. Overall, I wouldnt say that it was an excellent experience, but serviceable if youre wanting mediocre Mexican food.

Wont ever go back here !!! Seating was really bad but I can get past that Im here for the food .ordered the Mexican tacos and that was a big mistake . Not only was the chicken burnt but I could only finish one out of the three cause it was so disgusting !! They say its authentic Mexican food but its truly Americanized . Was really let down . When the waiter came and got my food he had to notice I didnt eat 3/4 of my food but he didnt say anything . So Ill pay $20 for one of the worst meals Ive ever had . The only thing that was good at this restaurant was the two beers I had .

Ordered the skillet fajitas. It came so burned the shrimps on top tasted burned. Talked to the manager Brenda "its a skillet burn". She promptly walked away never to be heard from again. This was a birthday dinner. Same meal I usually order ...first and last time at Hendersonville PnB. Could have handled the burnt meal but the Brenda is in the wrong position. Josh was the server he was great..he should be the manager. Worst meal ever dont go with expectations or standards.

This was the first Papas & Beer restraunt, and my husband and I started going to it way before it became so well visited. Larry works hard to take care of his long time customers! But for now the food quality and service has done a nose dive! Im very disappointed that they have change the way they cook some of my favorite meals and the service I receive.

Took our family of 6 (4 little girls) and we all really enjoyed it. Like other reviewers said its a great bargain for some pretty good food and large portions. Nice little salsa bar and my only complaint would be that the draft beer menu is limited. Modelo Special worked though. Watch out, the margaritas are HUGE!

We go here just about every Sunday for dinner. The food quality is consistent and very good and theres a wide variety on the menu. Prices are very reasonable too. The crispy Yucatan flautas are unique to this Papas and Beer and are very good. If youre eating here for the first time thats a good place to start.

Really bad experience. Ive gone once before years ago and had a bad experience so I figured today Id give them another chance. Fairly certain it was way worse this time than the last. No more chances from me. Sorry. The waiter was nice but new management, prices, the food and the menu was no good.

The best Mexican food Ive ever had. My family and I consider ourselves Mexican connoisseurs, this little surprise in the mountains of North Carolina really blew our minds. We may even drive 700 miles to come back to this exact restaurant. The service, complimentary salsa, were unreal. JTown!

Delicious burritos, amazing chips and bean dip and salsas. This place is a must see for anyone traveling through the area. I stop here every time we travel from Charleston to Asheville and it never disappoints. Super quick service, and worth the wait on those busy evenings.

This is such a good restaurant. I have eaten at several of the Papas and Beer restaurants around and this one is probably my favorite. If you like spicy, get the spicy cream chicken. You wont be let down. They also have a great little salsa bar and really good chips.

Were went around noon and it was fantastic. I was hesitant due to some experiences at other Papas and Beer locations, but this was a great experience. The staff was very friendly and the food was delicious. I definitely recommend this location.

Papas is always the busiest Mexican restaurant in the area and for good reason. Excellent quality, value, and service. From the Papas fajitas to the Mexi-burger everything is terrific! Brenda is the general manager and she runs a tight ship.

Great food, on par if not better than El Paso. First thing you should take into account is how well priced the food is. Very cheap and very good along with excellent service. This certainly is a triple threat to any other local restaurants.

My wife and mother were charged, on my card today, 65.00 for the next tables tab. And they were unable to do anything about it. They told me, that I had to wait another week, until the funds were transferred back onto my debit card.

I absolutely love this Papas and Beer. My husband and I go here every Tuesday for TACO TUESDAY! :) The staff are so friendly and polite. There is limited parking usually on week nights so arrive before 6 so you can get a good seat.

Great Mexican food at fantastic prices. The servings are HUGE! I took my sister here when she was up for a visit, and she said this is the best Mexican food she has had in the U.S., and she lived in Mexico for a number of years!!
