Ive finally had enough!!! My family and I have been going to this Hendersonville Outback for some time now. We spend thousands of dollars a year at Outback and it just keeps getting worse. This location has gone thru numerous managers, and many cooks, and waitresses. We have had many issues with this location, including (1) the staff and manager doing their cleaning of the booths and mini blinds right by our table when we were eating. That included spray cleaners! (2) they hardly ever get a steak cooked correctly. Not only mine, but a lot of customers around us are always complaining about their food also. Its always the same pathetic apology too from a manager, "oh we are SO sorry, blah, blah, blah". So every time they screw up a steak, I am waiting for a new one while my family is done eating. Not cool. Some weeks ago, KIM, one of the managers, had the nerve to tell me (the customer), "you are just too picky." My wife and I couldnt believe it!!! I think I have every right to get my steak cooked correctly since I am paying. If you, the management, cant get your cooks to get an order right then YOU arent doing YOUR job. You and your comments should be kept to yourself. I wont even bring up the snide comment you, Kim, made to me when we were there last we for my mothers birthday. (3) Ive had a drunk waitress putting her arms around me at this location in the past too. I didnt mind, but it didnt go over too well with my wife. This waitress was later fired for drinking on the job. (4) The mens bathroom is always a mess. (5) The blooming onion petals in their Signature Sampler are always just small left over breaded pieces that look like they are the scraps. Nothing like the petals on the large blooming onion. Some of these things may seem small, but when you eat out as much as we do, you get to really know a place, its staff, and its food. Proprietor "KP", is a nice guy and has his hands full I am sure. Manager, Mark, is a great guy, and our favorite. Unfortunately he is moving on to a different location. Outback used to be my favorite restaurant, but not anymore. Ive found a LOT better steaks close by, and our business is appreciated there too.

I am not normally one to do reviews but I had to let others know my experience. My dad and I just ordered take away here at this location. I ordered the Firecracker Salmon and several other things as well. I was very excited to eat my food, I am pregnant and I was very hungry. The first couple of bites of my fish were fine( the edges ), but as I got further in I took a bite and what I had in my mouth was gelatinous, completely RAW fish. This was so disgusting that I gaged. We all inspected it and it was clear that the inside was completely uncooked raw fish. I did not order Sushi. It was revolting. Not only could I not eat it but undercooked meat and raw fish is especially dangerous during pregnancy. It was a health risk....geez, this ruined my evening and I am still left very hungry. I am not there to get my money back and when I call they give me the run around. Such bull. I will never eat there again, They serve raw, undercooked meats by totally amateur chefs. Ugh, what a disappointment.....looking at other views on the web have shown me that, at least at this location, that they have a lot of trouble getting meats cooked appropriately and the way the customer requests. So sad considering this is a STEAK house. It seems, if nothing else, they would make absolutely sure that the cooks they hired were super good at during their specialty " MEAT ".

Definitely wont be returning! Service was good, but that was it! I ordered the prime rib and had to send it back because it was 80% fat even the waitress was shocked there was so much fat on a separate bread plate and what little steak was left to eat! By the time I got another my husband was done with his and the second steak wasnt any better! I was very disappointed that the manager didnt even bother to come out, actually I never saw a manager! We use to love visiting this location, but I refuse to return after being told prime rib is normally fatty for more flavor to make it acceptable to serve someone a steak with 4 oz being nothing but fat! I honestly shouldnt have paid for my meal cause it was not worth it!!

We have eaten at the Mitchelle Dr location on several occasions. It was never good. They are normally short-staffed, you may have to wait because there are not enough servers or the table you want is not available because there is no server for that particular table. Then, there is the ever present problem of getting your order correct. Just a simple order, completely wrong. Sometimes for no apparent reason, you get your entree first then your salad second OR youll get BOTH at the same time. For no apparent reason. So, do yourself a favor and go to the Outback on Tunnel Rd in Asheville. They do a better job.

We went to dinner yesterday evening and were very happy with the entire experience. We were seated within several minutes of our arrival. The beverages were delivered in short order and salads followed quickly. Our steaks were "melt in your mouth" tender and the sweet potato was cooked to perfection. Our waitress was a breath of fresh air and extremely attentive to our every need. The floor manager checked on us about half way through our meal to ensure that everything was to our complete satisfaction. This was not our first visit to this Outback, and it lived up to previous experiences.

Use to love eating here. Not anymore. Food was terrible. I ordered LUMP crab cakes. I got MUSH crab cakes burnt on both sides. Tasted like charcoal. Couldnt taste any crab. I had the porterhouse. I ordered medium-rare. I got RAW. Last time I was here I ordered medium and got raw. Some smart ass cook came out and made a fake apology. Also, the bone in my steak was HUGE. It felt like it weighed a pound. The fries and mushrooms were good. This will likely be my/our last visit.

Josh, Josh , Josh. We waited on our group on the terrace drinking great wine and cocktails on my birthday. Many people were waiting to be seated, however, after 7 pm the ambiance changed and it was like we were all sitting on our own private porch in the mountains, Josh made us all feel comfy and kept our drinks full. The food was amazing. It was a great 45th birthday that I didnt want to attend. Thanks Josh. Ill always ask for you.

Consistently Great Steaks and Salads! Medium rare always! Make sure to try the salad with pecans, house dressing is the best ever! Everyone smiles from the hostess to the servers to the food runners. Ideal place for dinner no matter when the occasion. Appreciate the addition of a half of a Blooming Onion appetizer. A whole one is just too much for 2 people .

Save your money and patronize Cracker Barrel. Went Sunday night after hiking. Ordered salad with pecans and the entree of tilapia with stuffed crab dressing. Ordered small amount of bread also. Tilapia was overburdened with Ole bay seasoning. Salad was not chopped and missing the walnuts and no bread. Never to return. For that matter wont go to any outback.
