I have been going to the Pourhouse for years for their excellent beer. However, on my latest visit on Fathers Day 2017, the beer just was average and there were way too many IPAs. If you are a beer lover, you must always be suspicious and wonder what a brewer is trying to hide when there are so many IPAs on tap. This prompted me to ask our server if there was a change in the head brewer and apparently the brewer (Andrew, I believe) left and relocated out of state between June 2016 and June 2017. What a disappointment! Our service was excellent and the food is still good, however, what made this place a true gem, in my humble opinion, was the consistently excellent beer brewed by Rivertowne year after year. Thus, I unfortunately will no longer go out of my way (I live on in West Virginia) to go to Rivertowne because average can be found nearly everywhere. Andrew, if you ever read these posts, you are missed and I hope you are still brewing wherever you went!

I really wanted to like this place. I have tried and tried to like this place but every single time I go to the Monroeville location something is way off from even an adequate rating. The fries are ALWAYS dripping, soggy and tasteless. The Burgers are okay but not great. The beer is weak and seems like it has been watered down. The wraps have been bland and mushy. Before anyone gets upset at me for my negativity let me state that I have gone to this location 5 times trying to like the local "micro brew" place but it has been all I can do to not ask to see a manager each time I visit. I really want to like it but I cant go again. The Service is good but the food is very poor and the beer makes me thirsty for a Budweiser (and I HATE domestic canned beer). I wish I could get back the time and money Ive spent trying to like this local joint.

My girlfriend and I love this place. The food is very very good. Every time we go we order the Beer-Cheese Dip as an appetizer. Lately theyve been making the dip thinner and less spicy (which Im not too exited about) but its still worth a try. I always order the Turkey, Bacon, Ranch Wedgie. Its my absolute favorite thing to eat there. Portions are big, which Im a huge fan of (being 6 4" 230lbs). They have an awesome selection of beers they brew onsite. Growlers are around $3 (+ the cost to fill them) which is very cheap compared to places like Victory Brewing. I recommend trying the Arctic Amber.

Over 30 days prior to March 15th my large group of 20 made reservations for 6:30 pm. At 7:00 pm we were told it could be another 45 minutes before they could seat us. 20 people standing in the vestibule, all of us arrived on time or earlier, waiting to be seated. No one appeared to care that we waited or that we left a little after 7 pm. Our group meets monthly; I hope Rivertowne is never selected again.

Food and beer are good. Parking is available but unless youre handicapped, you have to dodge traffic to get to the restaurant. Used to have a great DJ on Friday night, worth the risk of being hit by a car. Hes not there anymore, so I dont make a point of going there anymore.

Food was only okay. Beers were somewhat week. Service was slow and not very good. Tip for the owners.... dont seat folks with no kids in the back room with a bunch of little kids....you miss out on good reviews and good tips coming your way!!!

Never been disapointed by any thing ive ever gotten here! You can taste a beer before you commit. Service is almost always great food is amazing! love love the rivertowne wish the monroeville one had an outside deck but always an amazing time!

Cant ignore the beers coming from Rivertowne anymore... They are cranking out great beers and dont seem to be worried about seasons. West coast stoudt and wheat ipa cut through the cold people
