If you want pretentious food served in a deli style (order at the counter well bring you your food on paper plates. Theres the drink machine, get it yourself), this may be JUST THE PLACE! Personally, I dont know what Peruvian Chicken is, but Im pretty sure its pretty much the same Rotisserie style stuff that you will get at your local grocery store deli - only priced four times higher and not nearly as tasty), served with some weird, admittedly tasty sauce, and offbeat sides (canary beans and yucca fries, and can we give the freakin quinoa a rest, please). Honestly after eating there, I STILL dont know what Peruvian Chicken is. If you want to save money and get a more authentic "chicken experience," go to Bojangles and order the 1/4 chicken with dirty rice and pintos. The atmosphere is the same - except without the goofy ambient trance-hop hipster cr*p playing on the speakers. Itll set you back 3.95, and you can keep the extra 5.00 to learn how to make your own yucca fries. Trust me: Its the ideal definition of "meh." At a price that screams "gasp!!!"

Viva chicken has a reputation of having amazing food, so when it came to close to where I lived I got extremely excited. The Viva chicken lives up to the hype. The place is decorated to fit its modern clients, and the food is amazing. Ive been here a couple times and always got the Great Sandwich. Its so great! The sauces you can get with your sandwich complements the whole meal. The fries here are top tier and taste even better in the sauces. This place should be one of the place you visit if you are hungry in the area

Always great food, love the Inca Wrap with or without chicken. Quinoa stuffed avocado is superb. Herbal limeade is great. Only beefs I have relate to noise (at Ballantyne): its a naturally loud environment with sound bouncing around in the restaurant, but they add way-too-loud EDM music for some reason, which is out of character for the scene and annoying almost immediately. They lose a star over that, my wife loves the place but wont eat there because of it.

Staying at nearby hotel. Asked for a recommendation and told this is a town favorite. Walked over and took a great deal of convincing to get kids to eat, but we chose their food for them and they loved it. We loved it. The Great is a wonderfully tasty sandwich either on Ciabatta bread or a sundried tomato wrap. Kids raved about French fries, both the regular and sweet potato version. Would definitely come back, if in town again.

Viva Chicken gets five stars from me, because of the quality of food and the value. While I am no expert in Peruvian cuisine, I continually come back to this place for the delicious rotisserie chicken and unique menu items like the Quinoa Stuffed Avocado, Viva Tacu Bowl, and their Chicha Morada Punch. My only caution is to plan ahead and come early if you want lunch. This place is popular and gets crowded quickly!

Thus place has some of beat tasting roasted chicken I have had. The seasonings is what makes it, I love the skin flavor the most and they have some very tasting spaces you can add for a but more spiciness if you like. They have some authentic Peruvian flavors and dishes. They use hormone free chicken which is definitely a plus in my book. All around nice people and good comfort food at a reasonable price.

Love this restaurant! I usually come with my family so we order whole chicken, their amazing fries, yucca, and rice. Everything that I have tried is amazing, including drinks, and the three sauces that they offer makes things even better. I certify Viva Chicken a coveted Jude Gs Joints Certified. It is truly one of the best restaurants in Charlotte.

Great food as always. I ordered my food to go and when I had waited 20 minutes or so, I asked what was taking so long. They found that my order had been made, but no one notified me. So they made up for it by throwing in a tres leches, which was very tasty. The food was still hot and very good as well. Their classic saltado is great!

Cant say enough good things about the food here! The customer service is great, too! Fun fact: Viva got its start on Elizabeth Ave and has since opened up two more locations in Charlotte. One in Ballantyne and one in Huntersville. Their next location? St.George, Utah! So lucky to have them locally and happy for their expansion!

I was hearing everyone raving about Viva Chicken so I finally have it a try. Can you say "WOW!" the chicken was very flavorful and moist, even the breast meat. The sauces just take it over the top. Green beans were fresh and seasoned. Cilantro infused rice was a delight. I would highy recommend to anyone.

Me and my family loved the place. The food was awesome and the staff was helpful and friendly. It was super crowded and there was no place to seat, but the manager came out and found a seat for us. All in all awesome experience, I would come back but there is no viva chicken in Florida where we are from.

Ordered dark meat but got white. Should have gotten it replaced but didnt so I didnt give them am opportunity to fix it. Also got quinoa and didnt realize it would be cold so I didnt care for it. Really like viva chicken but chose poorly this visit and didnt let them fix the mistake.

Inspite of going to an Indian restaurant my friends pulled me here and I am fully satisfied coming here.Especially the arroz chaufa with the sauce tastes really delicious..and "sopa de pollo" tastes nice (its like masala battani for Indians served with chicken broth)......

Unusual to go to a chicken restaurant and every dish has an upcharge for chicken. Can get a little pricey based on what you order. Service is always great. Place is always clean. Probably wont be a favorite for me but I would still recommend trying it a least once.

The half chicken wasnt so great though. It was dry and the size was a bit on the small side. The WOW Lomito (steak) is AWESOME-I always add lettuce to mine to!!! OMG!!!! Ive stuck with that every since I had the bad experience with the dry chicken little.

Excellent local fast casual restaurant chain that specializes in Peruvian chicken. The food is tasty and fresh and the people that work there are always friendly. These restaurants are very popular and can be extremely crowded during peek times.

If I had the money and they were selling franchises Id buy one. This is one of my favorites, amazing chicken soup, the chicken is fantastic, love the sauces they have, and they have some of the best ice tea anywhere. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
