For my girlfriends 50th birthday, she wanted a big party with all her friends. I called Tyber Creek a few months in advance and they reserved the upstairs bar area for me for free. A few days before the event, I called back and ordered the medium size Party Package, which they assured me would be enough for 50 people. I, also, asked that they be ready with 50 shots at 7pm for the birthday toast and reminded me I might want to bring a cake (Oops!) When we got there about 6pm, they took the cake off my hands and assured me it would be brought up at 7pm. We went upstairs to find they had the upstairs bar area set up. We had a dedicated bartender and waitress (plus others who helped out as need be). They clearly had already been briefed about the shot, food and cake. And nobody went long without a drink in hand. They started setting out the food, with hot food over sterno, plates, etc. By the end of the night, I was pleasantly surprised that there were still a few chicken tenders and some dip left - but not much! Good value for the money and a real pleasure not having to order any more food part way through the party. At 7pm sharp, they brought the cake up, having already put the candles on it, along with plates, forks and a knife. The bartender was just finished pouring the shots. I didnt have to remind them, which was very impressive. At the end of the night, my sweetheart managed to twist her ankle, so I whisked her away home. It wasnt until the next day that I found out wed left several gifts, mostly wine, at the bar. They had put it ALL in the office and kept it safe until we picked it up. That really says something about the honestly and ethics of the staff. I highly recommend Tyber Creek Pub for groups of 50 or more. Very professional and a pleasure to work with. And having had the occasional beer there, I know it is a first rate neighborhood bar, as well.

Read for NYE Plans - Me and a group of 10-12 friends went here for New Years Eve a couple years ago for their "all inclusive" deal. Maybe my expectations were a little high, but I still feel I should review that it was not what it was promised to be. They charged us a one-time fee that would include the cover to get in, food, champagne at midnight, and open bar. We didnt see any food the entire night (we were there from 8 til 1:30). We didn’t see any champagne, they wouldn’t make shots without charging extra, and liquor was house liquor that tasted watered down. It was also extremely crowded and very hard to get a drink. Like I said, maybe this is standard operating procedure for NYE “all inclusive” bar deals. This was the only one I’ve done before so I was expecting the bar to be what they said it would. Seemed like a nice place and I would definitely try it out again to eat and drink, but just not for New Years Eve.

Yesterday, a group of around 15 of us did dinner and drinks for a friends birthday. We had a great experience. Our server was named Brandy or Brianna but she was fantastic. The service was exceptional and our food and drinks were great. Who knew crown apple was such a good substitute in an Irish Car bomb? Our group was waited on the entire night. The upstairs area is perfect for a large group. I imagine it is tough having such a large group but we were not rushed out the door and were given the highlest level of customer service. The staff was friendly and conversational. Overall a great experience and a great time was had by all. Thank you.

If I could only count the number good times weve had here. Tyber Creek is a 2nd home and fun for everyone. The food is amazing and high quality, the drinks are great and they always have a special. There is dancing up on the 2nd floor and the DJ will play your request fast. Out front the open patio is welcoming with enough space for your squad and everyone elses. In short, Tyber is the place to be no matter who you are: black, white, gay, straight, happy, sad, tired, energetic or just wanting to hang out.

My friends and I were shown no great customer service, even though we were all regulars. The employees ignored us until everyone around us had already ordered their drinks and food. Some of my friends were shoved and pushed and spilled their beverages and food without anyone acknowledging the multiple spills, and no accommodations were in place. The food was alright although it was overpriced. I would recommend looking somewhere else.

People love Tyber Creek because it has a ton of outdoor activities and lots of space. It has 3 floors so theres always room to get a table unless its totally packed. The atmosphere is usually pretty unique and pulls a wide variety of people depending on what time of day or evening. The food is a step above bar food and the drinks are very reasonably priced. If theres large events going on though, be prepared for a sizeable crowd.

Service was terrible. Absolutely terrible. Im shocked its so busy because it doesnt offer much. Our appetizers never came and there was no explanation why. We ordered six items and half of them didnt show. The staff is a mess and the food mediocre. Its a damn pub and they were out of fish and chips... What!? The outdoor area is fun and the DJ is great but you should eat dinner at a decent restaurant beforehand. Youve been warned.

Cool little pub on South Boulevard. Had some nice local beers and wasnt too expensive. Seems like it would be an awesome place to hang out in the summer or when its warm, I went in January so there werent that many people outside. Theyre outside area has corn hole and a lot of open space. Definitely plan on spending some more time there when it gets warmer!

If you are looking for a great neighborhood pub, then this is your place. Tyber Creek has always felt like home to me...very comfortable, unpretentious, and very friendly. The folks who own this pub and the staff that work there are just good people. Youll find larger pubs in town with fancier menus, but Ill take Tyber Creek any day.

This bar is a lot of fun. Theres a decent beer selection here. Typically dont have to wait to long to get a drink. Theres a bar serving drinks down stairs and upstairs. There are games outside. Ping Pong Table. Corn Hole. Giant Jenga. Heaters are turned on outside when its cold. The bouncers arent assholes. Great place.

Good beer on tap, full bar too. Was there just to drink on a hot day, so the outdoor misters were a super welcome amenity! Outdoor games and fun lively hang-out juxtaposed with a dimly lit old school interior. Young crowd, right in South End.

Great place for a relaxed lunch!! The food is great, better than normal just "bar food" ... its definitely more than that. Very tasty. We sat outside and enjoyed the day, played some bean bag toss. Great service too. Well be back!!

Do NOT go to this Pub!!!!! I was assaulted by a 200 lb drunken menace as I was leaving the pub, while the bouncers just stood there. I ended up with stitches & a black eye because of their poor security.
