After hearing and reading mixed reviews, my friend and I decided to try New York New York for lunch. I was not impressed in the slightest. Being somewhat familiar with the location, I was expecting something very casual, which it certainly is. What I was not expecting was everything else. We walked in the door to the bar area where about 4 people were seated. The bartender glanced up and went back to breaking down a cardboard box without speaking a word. Not sure what to do from there, we kept walking into the dining area where a few people were seated. The server looked at us with a blank face and said nothing as she walked through the room. I smiled at her and said hello. She gave a quick, tight smile and said hello back but didnt follow up with "Can I help you?" or "Ill be right with you" or anything. I said, "Wed like to sit outside, if thats ok?" She said, "Right through that door," with a wave in a general direction and turned her back on us. My friend and I went out to the outdoor area where another woman was behind the bar. She didnt look up or greet us, so we found a table and sat down. After a few minutes, the bartender went back into the restaurant, so I got up and grabbed two menus off the bar and brought them back to the table. The server eventually came back out and asked what wed like to drink. We ordered Cokes, with my friend requesting "Id like the largest size you have," to which the bartender/server replied, "It only comes in one size, honey." She brought back two styrofoam cups and one can of Coke and told us to share that until she had time to go grab more from inside. Shortly afterward, we ordered food. I ordered the "Philly Cheese Bomb" with cole slaw and fries, and she ordered the Italian Sub with potato salad and a pickle. When the food arrived, it was two Philly Cheese Bombs. My friend decided not to point it out to the server as by that time we just wanted to eat and leave. Since the server/bartender dropped the food off and dashed away, we had to wait a bit before my friend could ask for a condiment. The reason we had to wait was because she turned her back to us and had her cigarette break in spite of our attempts to get her attention. The food was fair, but not good. The sandwich had way too many huge slices of jalapeno, the entire thing was soggy on the bottom, the cole slaw was flavorless and the potato salad was awful. The server brought us another Coke when we were done eating, but by then we just wanted the check. We chose not to pass through the restaurant on the way out, but instead cut across the grass back to the car because it really didnt seem like anyone would have cared if we complained. It should be said that while we were eating, a group of four people came and sat down outside at a table next to ours. It was obvious they were regulars because the employee knew their names and they knew hers. Her treatment of her regulars was completely different than her treatment of us. Our overall impression was that outsiders arent welcome or encouraged at all.

By far the worst experience with service Ive come across, waitress was extremely rude and unprofessional. Before taking our order for food, our drinks were gone. we asked for more, never got them, food came out we reminded her and said some things were missing and she never came back to our table but served people around us but like she had completely forgot we were there. We had to get up to get our own drinks and ask another waitress for our check. And I wish I wouldve gotten a picture of the "place urine specimen cup here" sign at the bar with empty containers around it to add to this review, no idea what that was for but was discusting. I wouldnt go back if the food was free. Only good thing was the view outside was nice, food wasnt bad but wasnt great either

Terrible experience. We sat down and ordered drinks and our food and that was the last time we seen our waitress until the food got to us an hour later. Never got a refill on our drinks, and when the food finally arrived it tasted like it was microwaved, the fish was cold inside, the rice tasted like it had been sitting out for a few days. The table next to us ordered the same thing that we did and we could hear them complaining as well, when the waitress was told of the horrible food she said "I can only give you a free glass of wine". I had to track our waitress down just to get the check. If I could give this place zero stars I definitely would. Will NEVER be going back there.

Very slow service. In the first 5 minutes we ordered drinks and jalapeno poppers but hadnt decided on our meals yet. There was no problem with the waitress, she got our drinks quickly and took our food orders a few minutes later and apologized that our appetizer hadnt been started which we were fine with. About 35 minutes later though, she let us know that the kitchen still hadnt started our jalapeno poppers and it was still a few tickets back. We were hungry and she couldnt give an estimate of when our food would be ready so we just left after that.

The outside of the building needs a bit of fresh paint but inside is fantastic! Food is totally delicious and portions are huge! Better bring your appetite! Prices are just right and the staff is so accommodating! Outside tiki bar is under cover with, plenty of seats in the sun, as well. Overall experience was wonderful! Youll really like it! EXTRA SURPRISE--You can watch a launch, right there! (That is if one is scheduled for the day you are at the restaurant)

Food wasnt terrible, but the Reuben was underwhelming. The meat was dry and chewy, the sandwich falling apart, unevenly hot, not much flavor. Still, not close to the worst Reuben Ive had elsewhere. Great location on the river, but another visit is needed to see if the quality of food is really better than I experienced. Might have been an off day.

Nice location, beautiful views of the KSC and vehicle assembly building across the river. Good bar food. Friendly servers. Would be 5 stars if the bathroom was replaced. We ordered the cheeseburger, the grilled chicken sandwich and the giant chefs salad with grilled chicken and they were all very good. The salad was enough for two average people.

Apparantly the waitresses wanted to hang out with the crowd at the bar rather than serve customers the evening we stopped in for dinner. They took at least 10 minutes to bring a menu and ask what we want to drink, then the drinks (water) never came, the waitresses were hanging around the bar talking. We left. Never go to this restaurant.

Love this little spot on the river. Accessible by car or boat or by feet. Foods always good here and they have many events here as well. They have always taken good care of me and my friends here. Its also probably my favorite date spot in town its so nice outside by the tiki bar!
