Trust me, all the one star reviews on here are true. You would be better to eat at 5 guys next door to this place then to eat in the actual theatre. I timed our visit so here it goes....1900: We arrive and sit down. We are one of the first groups to arrive in the theatre and sit down. 1905: waitress takes our drink AND food order; along with appetizers. We were with another couple who placed their order at the same time. 1915: The other couples food comes. We still do not have our drinks. 1918: My husbands beer comes. We still do not have our drinks...any of us. 1923: I press the "push for service button" on our seats. 1931: No one has come over and other people around us are getting drinks/food who arrived after us. 1932: I stop the young men who were passing out drinks near us and ask them if we can get our drinks because we have been waiting close to 30 minutes. They say the believe they have them on a tray that just need to be passed out. They finally bring over the drinks couple we were with ordered; they were done with their food at this point. 1939: The young men have left, seemingly out of drinks and we have not yet received ours. 1940: Another random server comes over, finally answering our "push for service button" that we pressed more than 15 minutes ago, and asks us what we need. I say, in what Im sure is a not nice voice, we have been waiting for our drinks for more than 30 minutes now. The girl says "well it is really busy" and I say well 30 minutes is a little ridiculous. At the same time one of the previously mentioned young men brings us our drinks. The movie begins, she points and makes a snide face and I just sit back while she walks away. No apologies. 1942: Our food comes, the food we ordered with our friends who go their food at 1915, and it is cold. That is just about it for me. Poor service, rude wait staff and cold food? Come on. I walked out during the movie, because obviously waiting for them to answer the "push for service button" would take too long, and find a manager who is more than apologetic and gets us new food along with a discount on our bill. This is the only shinning moment for this establishment the entire night, who seems to be the only one in the know, unfortunately he has no control over his staff it appears. We get our bill at the end and has something on it they we didnt order and then had to wait again for them to fix it. Sense we were still sitting there we go to hearing the ravings of the staff about how dirty it was in the theatre and hear them using all their colorful expletives to describe their distain for having to clean it up. If they dont want to clean the theatre think about how they take care of the parts we dont see. This was just the icing on the cake that was our horrible experience. I am not oblivious to the service industrys plight, being in it myself, nor was I blind to see that they were very busy, a situation they are apparently not trained for. They obviously tip pool because the girl that took our order at the beginning I never saw again. This creates no incentive to do a good job or go the extra mile. Maybe they should consider giving the "servers" their own sections and teaching them what working a little for their money entails. There is so much room for improvement in this place it isnt funny. It will be a cold day in you know what before I set foot in this establishment again. Do me a favor and eat at home before your trip to the movie theatre. Your money is more well spent on a over priced AMC movie theatre popcorn/soda combo then this place.

My wife purchased two tickets for a movie last night. Today I tried to use their online service to cancel the tickets. The show didnt start for another 3 hours so it was well in the range of the hour deadline sited on the website and email. While attempting to cancel them I get an error message on the cancel page saying that it is currently unavailable. "Well that sucks", I think, "Ill call the number provided on that same page that says CONTACT US.." I tried to call the number provided but it goes to an automated message saying that SMG corp is closed on the weekends. I then hunt down the local number and tried to call the SMG here in Charlotte. When I call I am told to do all the things I had already done. I tell them I had done all the things a rational person would do and they say "I guess your stuck paying for them then!" I say that I need to talk to a manager so they place me on hold for 20 minutes and then it hangs up. I call back 4 times and my call is sent to voicemail each time. I then pulled a quick one on them and used google voice to change my phone number. All of a sudden the same high school girl picks up immediately and when I asked to speak to a supervisor and the she sings back in a taunting way "I need to speak to a supervisor" and I am then placed on hold again for 10 minutes. Finally some one else picks up. I think "Yay! a supervisor!" I ask "Are you the manager?" and with a long pause and some incoherent English I realize they too are a confused high school girl. She then tells me that the manager is unavailable and will call me back in 10 minutes. Lets just say that I never received a return call. I have frequented this theater quite a few times since I live in the city and its the most convenient one. My wife and our friends buy meals and drinks and we have spent hundreds of dollars here over the past few years. This experience has completely turned me off to this establishment. Hopefully when corporate is open on Monday I can get my $25 dollars back for a movie I didnt even go see. Unfortunately, I will have now have to travel across town to go to the Cinebarre, in the suburbs:-( , to see films and enjoy cocktails or just go to a regular over priced theater where spoiled kids ruin the whole experience... Boo on tonight. 1 star! --Update: They sent an email, even after I sent a screen shot showing there page was down, stating they cannot give a refund for a movie that has already been shown. They offered me movie vouchers... I hate you. -1 Star!

I have been to this theater a few times now. The first time, I saw the movie Interstellar with a friend of mine. She had said that her food was really good. I thought likewise. However, the staff did interrupt us a couple of times - even when we didnt buzz for service - to ask us how the food was, bring the bill, collect the bill, etc. Im one of those people who believe in "no talking during the movie." So the interruptions were annoying. However, the movie and service was good overall. So I overlooked the minor distractions. The second time I went was to see a movie with my husband. However, they werent able to honor our voucher or give us any seats other than first row. We decided to leave and come back another time, and asked for our parking to be stamped. They wouldnt since we hadnt seen a movie - which I thought was awfully petty since the ticket proved we had been parked for a mere fifteen minutes, and the only reason we didnt see a movie was due to lack of seating. By the time we got back to the parking deck and worked our way to the exit, we were over the time limit for free parking. Fortunately, the ticket agent took pity on us and allowed us to exit for free since our night was ruined, and commented that the theater should have done the same as an act of good customer service. The third time I went to this theater, I took my son to see Hunger Games: Mockingjay. We loved the movie, but hated the service. I specifically asked for regular fries - no salt. They brought them fully seasoned. I asked for mayo for the hamburger. No mayo. By the time they brought the right fries, they were cold. My son had similar complaints - namely, that his food was cold as well. While the first experience came with an overeager waiter who wanted to make sure we got good service, the last experience had a young waitress who couldnt have been bothered at all. Honestly, this theater is one of my least favorites. It gets three stars only because of my first experience. Otherwise, the customer service leaves little to be desired, the food is unoriginal and parking is annoying. Unless I have another 2 for 1 voucher, I will avoid this theater and drive twice the distance just to see the same movies I enjoy at a place like Crownpoint Movies - where I really can get an amazing experience.
