if you visited up the creek last summer, save yourself the heartache and avoid it this year. the menu has changed, you can promise yourself a mild case of food poisoning at the least. if you are interested in clogged arteries or perhaps just greasy mess, then this is the place for you. how could you not love a cold, day old, greasy turkey sandwich on a crissant when its 90 degrees outside with 80% humidity? also, if you want to pay fine dining prices with gas station quality food, then you better hurry up because they close at the late hour of 8:30 pm (unlike last year when they would serve food and be open until 2am at the earliest). the service is terrible, you had better carve out 2 hours of near dehydration and a server who will insult you, treat you as a second class citizen and then over charge you and make it sound like your fault when you point it out to them. bottom line, dont go to up the creek, the management and the owners have run this used to be/ could be hot spot into the ground.

Absolutely the worst food EVER! Ordered a pretzel from Appetizer menu ($6.50) which was a $2.00 pretzel anywhere else at best...the frozen box kind. My wifes chicken sandwich ($10.99) was a frozen patty that chewed like leather. My blackened Grouper didnt fill half of the bun ($14.99)...wheres the fish. I feel like I took $37 and tossed it in the river. We went out of our way to go to Up The Creek because the Hilton Head Guest Services (HHGS) brochure recommended it...shame on them. The paragraph in HHGS said Southern Living Magazine highly recommended Up the Creek. This is my first time visiting Hilton Head Island...I learned a lessson with regards to HHGS credibility.

Not usually too picky about the places that I dine.... but thats because Ive never really encountered a place such as this. Horrible service, seemed like a bunch of children running the place. We sat for 15 minutes without even being asked what we would have to drink. Appetizer was served by random waitress who then fought with out Waiter, right beside our table, over whose Appetizer was whose. Blah. We were checked on absent-mindedly the rest of the time. Also, do not bring young children here. The interior was extremely, extremely loud. Obnoxiously so. The sun came through the glass doors so brightly we could barely see each other. No no no no no.

When i moved here I kept my boat at skull creek.. Thank GOD there is Broad Creek Marina because I may have quit boating after the nightmare of dealing with SKULL CREEK.. BROAD CREEK AND UP THE CREEK PUB is Great.. Nice Marina Great service, Friendly, Decent Cheap Food with a LOCAL atmosphere.. Dont come here for 5 course meals but good local fare at a good price makes me happy

We were looking for a place where we could be outside and enjoy a good meal and "up the creek" was perfect. We went around 6 pm and place was packed. They turned tables as quickly as possible without rushing their guests. Lou our waitress was fantastic as was the entire staff. Great meal fantastic atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Great service - they were funny and kind and every server worked together to taje care of us. Good food! - my husband got a huge hotdog with hush puppies, and I ordered buffalo chicken dip, a house salad, and fries. Everything was amazing and decently priced. We would definitely recommend it!

The food was great. I had the southwestern burger with hush puppies. Ive eaten a lot of southern made hush puppies and these were the best Ive ever had. Interesting view right next to the marina. With all the good places to eat on Hilton Head I would definitely recommend this.

Food was typical Bar food fair at best.The atmosphere and view was amazing. Given the area and the high caliber food at other restaurants in Hilton Head island we were disappointed the food wasnt better.over all a neat place to visit but once is enough.

Good food. Great staff. These guys were very nice, helpful with questions. Food came out quick and was correct. The best part is the food tastes good. Its not an overpriced dump luring in tourists but a nice place to eat on vacation.

This is the place to sit outside and watch the fireworks. Took a large group, sat outside, enjoyed the food and drink. You can walk the 50 yards out onto the concrete dock and watch or stay on the porch. Fun night out.

Local joint that is quiet with fantastic views. More bar food, but dont look at the menu; just ask for recommendations, because they smoke their chicken wings and pork shoulder across the parking lot. Ask for Brian.

I can buy Sea-PAC popcorn shrimp at the store and get an entire bag as cheap as I paid for the frozen shrimp at this place. Food and Service were TERRIBLE !!!

6 adults and 5 kids sat in under 15 mins outside on a busy Friday night. Great service and good food. Right on the water so the view is pretty good as well.

We have been coming here since 2007 it is the best place on the Island to keep a boat, and have a relaxing time at the pub, no better view on the Island.
