This was our first stop during our weekend in Asheville. The shop was nice, and pretty quiet on a Saturday morning. They serve counter culture coffee, which was a bit of a let down since I wanted something roasted in Asheville. But, cc is pretty good coffee so I cant really complain. They have some pretty cool tables that look like they can be adjusted, but cant. They are also made of pine, which is fine and they look good, but it would be cooler if they were made of a more unique hardwood. Overall it was a good experience and the coffee is good.

I adore High Five. The coffee is obviously fantastic, they know how to make it correctly, and even their tea selection is enviable, sourcing from Dobra, right down the street. The baristas often arent the friendliest Ive dealt with, but sometimes theyre great. Its spotty in that regard, but if you want coffee done correctly and youre willing to shell out a few bucks for it, its worth your time.

This is one of my favorite hangout spots in Asheville. They have a great, well lit atmosphere and its a pretty good place to get some work done. One star knock off: They have a 2 hour per purchase "limit" on their wifi. I can work longer than 2 hours off of a cup of coffee so I dont buy coffee every 2 hours. If I have a longer project Im likely to go somewhere else just so Im not interrupted.

Very interesting place, but may not be everybody cup of tea(or coffee as the case may be) aka its not your box brand coffee shop. But friendly people, helpful staff, great for exploring new flavors and different tastes. The espresso I had was good and tasted of citrus. The cold brew is another story, bold and nutty, its very good. Give it a try on your way through Asheville.

"it" tries to be more than it is. The server at the counter argued with my about coffee flavor. I ask him for a black coffee and he went on and on about hits of this and after tastes of that... then got pissy when I restarted that I simply wanted a black coffee. And it was kind of bla coffee anyway... sorry but get over yourself will you.

As a coffee brew method and roast nerd I loved this place. Serves Counter Culture coffee, a popular Durham roastery. Very knowledgeable staff with some great drip coffee methods. My wife ordered a delicious vanilla latte and even my sons hot chocolate came with a design in the "foam". Highly recommended.

Best coffee in Asheville! These guys really know their stuff. All of the baristas have to meet certain criteria before they can make your drinks. And the staff is super nice and helpful. They use Counter Culture coffee

I use to be a bigger fan. The prices rose, refills cost $1 on regular coffee and Wi-Fi has a time limit. I can see why some decisions are made, but when the competition offers it, it makes it tough to choose High Five.

Beautiful cafe with some of the best coffee servings in town. I tried their cortado made with counter culture coffee and it blew my mind, the taste buds were extremely happy and I got my caffeine fix.
