Though a Californian, business takes me around the country all the time. This time around I visited Buffalo area and happened to wander into a local restaurant for dinner: Kabab & Curry. The food was fabulous needless to say the atmosphere and ambiance accentuated a great dining experience. I was accompanied by my business partner. We ordered Mixed Veggie Platter, Chicken Tikka Masala, Veggie Korma along with Rice and Naan. I prefer medium spice level. It is difficult to grade one item against the other as to which item was best, for each one of them was just delicious. The food was absolutely wonderful made with the right amount of spice that suited my taste buds. Our dinner was topped with dessert called Kheer. Well, the aroma of the items we ate and the thought of visiting again conjures mouth-watering memories of our visit. Looking forward to be in Buffalo on the first opportunity - hope it comes soon. Thanks to the Manager and a very friendly and courteous staff. Aside from serving us with a touch of class, our Server filled us in with the local community and places of interest that we could visit in our spare time. Looks like these guys have a well-rounded staff focused to offer a great fine dining experience to the customers. All in all, a great dining experience. Highly recommended.

Ive been going to the Kabab & Curry Location on Transit road for years. They have a great atmosphere, wonderful wait staff, and most importantly, amazing food. They even let you pick how hot you want it, if hot at all, mild, med, spicy or hot. The transit location is really great, it is a FULL SERVICE restraunt with a buffet and lunch time, a la carte at Dinner time, bruch buffet on weekends, and they just started a dinner buffet on wednesdays, very reasonably priced, 12.95. The food at this place is truly authentic and tasty. I also liked the fact that they use really nice silverware and glass ware for the entrees. The Kabab and Curry EXPRESS location however is much different. It is a very casual, very low-priced products that are served "to go " style but you can even sit there at eat. The servings are huge, for the price. You get rice, naan, and whatever else for a pretty decent price. But you cant "order", its already pre made, and they have a nice selection of vegetarian items also. If your looking for something real nice, all around , go to the transit, full service location. If you want something quick, low priced, and good quality, try the express location in buffalo near UB south. All in all, great food for the buffalo area.

We visited Kabab & Curry on 2/9/09 for dinner to celebrate my sister wedding anniversary. I can confidently say that is my worst nightmare food experience in any Indian restaurent so far in my life. We ordered two Vegetarian alacart "Palak Paneer" and "Vegetable Koorma" with Garlic nans and requested to make curries at medium spice. The two curry dishes we recieved are not even hot and they are very mild spice like a dessert or something. I guess they might have just microven the curries for 1-2 mins and gave us.The curries tasted like just raw vegetables put in some sauce. We requested that we ordered medium spice to the Manager. The Manager said OK and took our curries inside the kitchen and added some raw red pepper in it and heated for 1-2 mins and delievered us back.Thats it I felt thats height of carelessness. Our night was completely spoilt with the bad taste of food.I suggest to anyone who is looking for some good Indian food just avoid it and do yourself some good. Not for Indians who are looking out there for some Indian cusine definitely. The food may appeal to non-indians but for sure not Indians.

I recently tried Kabob and Curry w/ one of my girlfriends, and oh, what an experience we had! Now Ive tried all kinds of Indian food from California to TN to NY, and out of it all, I declare this restaurant is in my top three. This was my friends first time. The service was impeccable. Our server was greatly enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the menu. She pointed out the specials, her favorites, and delivered everything in a timely manner. We started w/ an order or meat and veggie samosas and papadum. I got the Chicken Tikka Masala and my friend got the Tandoori Chicken. The chicken was tender and perfectly moist. The portions were great and came w/ heaving helpings of rice. The naan was crispy and lightly oil. The Pros~ Price is reasonable, especially the sides like breads and appetizers. Service is personable, friendly, and prompt, we didnt really have to wait long at all. Atmosphere had a low lit quiet ambiance, candles, and the rustling of a beautiful fountain. I certainly recommend this place to everyone...first timers will not be disappointed! ~B

When you order a lamb dish be prepared to stop at Burger King on the way home. Sometimes the portions are fine, too often the portions are barely adequate and sometimes, like tonight, Im home cooking a hot dog because the lamb portion was so small that Im hungry after paying for a $ 15 meal. I could count the small chunks of lamb in my dish on one hand. We stopped going there for a few years ago because of small portions. Then recently, out of necessity, we ate there again and were pleasantly surprised that the portion size improved. Were trying to become regulars. Problem is that I love lamb and they too often serve such small portions, I cant justify going. My wife usually orders chicken dishes and portions are always fine and less expensive. When the portion is proper, you cant beat the food. Its great. Its not about the price. They need to charge what needs to be charged but at least offer a dish that is a meal. Need to go get the Webers mustard to put on my hot dog, Im starving after eating dinner there.

I would agree with most of the other reviewers about the quality of food / service. Great wait staff!! Excellent food backed by excellent service. This was our first visit. We were visiting the area from Rochester, NY and I would recommend this to anyone visiting/ living in the area! At first I was a little skeptical about the dishes as I was a vegetarian (As reviews mostly talked about meat dishes), but I must say that my try paid off as the food was excellent ( full score for veg biryani and paneer tikka masala). However I think they/google should change the price rating tag from $ to $$$ to correctly inform the internet population. I think they are a little overpriced. But again I did not mind as the food was really great!

Very nice decor & professional presentation. But if you are familiar with Pakistani food, get ready for big disappointment. Appetizer hot wings were soaked with hot sauce, nicely peesented with bland taste. Karahi chicken was no close to traditional karahi you expect. It was chicken soaked in tomato sauce instead of chicken cooked in a karahi with tomatoe & herbs. Sheesh Kabab were ok & properly presented Chicken makhani was too sweet. Okra with herbs was pretty good Daal was very good & the only dish matching the expectation. It could improve the flavor by adding dill before serving .. A good presentation that could use a good chef

From Milwaukee, WI, and we have wonderful Indian there. This was ok. The amount of food you got for the prices was a bit of a let down. Kids chicken tenders order was $8.00 for 2 smallish tenders and a whole basket of fries. The chicken dish I shared with my husband was flavorful but smaller than expected for $15.00. the server was nice, the owner came over too and he was nice. The desserts were very good as the kulfi was homemade however they had a flavor I would have liked to tried except, the server had no way of explaining it. Overall, it was ok. The lunch buffet was small, 2 veg items and etc.
