Went for the Chinese spring festival for a so so meal. I was seated in sight of the door and while not adjacent about 20 feet away i got cold wind whenever the door was opened. The food itself was ok. I ordered a chicken dish and beef dry pot. The beef was tender but it was supposed to be a spicy dish. It was not spicy. Some drinks got ordered too and they were twice as large as needed be. I would have preferred a small option at half the cost. Little selection in the drinks and the bubble tea was poorly mixed and looked amateur. In the end two dishes and two non alcoholic drinks cost 45 which is far too pricey for what it is. I can forgive the fact that they ignored our whole section for 20 minutes because it was busy. I then went up to the counter and waited 5 to pay. I might go again but while the food seems authentic enough its relatively overpriced and not anywhere near as spicy as it should be. I guess they mostly do well by the lack of authentic and non bland chinese restaurants in the area.

The dining room and bathroom were very clean and inviting. Service was Excellent! We had Won ton soup and Crabmeat Rangoon to start and they were yummy and hot(temp). Not overly salty. The soup was a large portion and a great value. I ordered the Cumin Chicken with two "fire drops" for heat (spice) and this was American Hot, just as a warning. Some items were not hot (no fire drops, some with one, two, or three). This was very tasty and had wonderful flavor (Cumin/Cilantro). The chicken was slightly crispy but not breaded so the best of both worlds there. I will be ordering (take out) again this weekend. I have never been to China but this seemed very authentic and less "American Chinese". They did offer menu items farther into the menu that were more usually named. So if you are looking for authentic Chinese or "American Chinese" I am sure you would find many delicious items.

This is not the food court version of Chinese food. Authentic as you will find . One read of the menu and you know this is a place that caters to those from the region. Traditional dishes served in a traditional way. If your looking for sweet and sour chicken with a bright orange sauce ... This is not your place. I gave it a 5 based on food and environment alone . Its lacking a little in service but its casual and some of that is to be expected ( I.e. you may have to flag the wait staff down yourself to get more water ) ... If I could have given a 4 1/2 I would have. Definitely better than a 4 star rating but not 5 star fine dining either. A really great place if you want to experience Szechuan Chinese cuisine.

Good food. Did an online order and when I got home (picked it up), we realized they messed up the order. Was supposed to get cellophane beef noodles but we had something else. Called the restaurant and they replaced the order--I asked them to deliver it but when they said it was too far, I said I drove out to get it so. They delivered. OK next visit: ordered at the register. Got what I wanted (eggroll, soup, and beef/peppers). Get home, and cant find the egg roll. This is the 2nd time they screwed up which is why I gave them 1 star.

Who would have thought that you could get authentic Szechuan food in Syracuse? Their food is excellent, they serve hot pot as well as regular dishes (heating elements built into most tables). Service is quick. I know the food is authentic because Im often the only non-oriental person in the place! And its real Szechuan, with all of the correct flavors, and plenty of spice if thats what you want. Highly recommended!

There is simply no better chinese in syracuse, possibly even CNY. I frequently ask chinese international student friends of mine where their favorite place is and if the answer is anything other than Red Chili, it is always because they havent been to Red Chili yet. If they have been to Red Chili, we will always share a brief moment of mutual appreciation for the greatness that this restaurant exudes.

Authentic Szechuan style food. I spent three summers in Chongqin and Chengdu as a teenager and explored all likes of restaurants there. The food in Red Chili restaurant tastes exactly like the food 20 years ago in Sichuan. Truly great spicy food makes one nostalgic and homesick with just the right amount of bittersweetness.

Love the SPICE& FLAVOR¡! If you like heat: order Dan Dan noodles, crispy style anything. There is a bit of a language barrier sometimes, so look at menu before you go & look up fishes to help you decide. Family style food served up, so plan on sharing with your dining guests. Very delicious

This is great, authentic Szechuan fare, complete with many hot pot offerings. More atmosphere than you might expect from a strip mall, but still casual and reasonably priced. If English isnt your first language, youll be at home here, and even if it is!

I love the food and the price is a little high but the portions they give you makes up for it, the service on the other hand wasnt very friendly but it wasnt bad neither it was very straight down to business and they never came around for our refills

Not the best service but some of the best and most authentic Chinese food youll find in syracuse. Make sure to try the pepper steak and mapo tofu. Easily a five star based on food alone but the service brings it down to more of a 4.5.

Food here is fantastic, and feels very authentic. Today I got the beef belly noodle soup, which for $9 after tax was an incredible meal. The menu used to be difficult to understand, but thats been updated rather recently.

Really good food but much of the menu are targeted at people who love spicy food. IMHO the prices are a little high. The Mattydale chinese restaurant have the same quality food with a much better price.

Delivery dinner; white rice not fried and no egg roll for 10$ meal. Sweet chicken plate filled with veggies not chicken (space fillers)...very blah taste to meals. Let down

Great food! The service is sometimes a bit off, but the food more than makes up for it. Menu includes dishes not usually seen (duck heads.) Highly recommend Red Chili!

虎皮青椒 is the most spicy dish Ive ever had! Dont order that! Your taste buds are going to hurt! Other foods are good. They also do delivery in Syracuse area.

The ONLY authentic Chinese restaurant in Syracuse. I dont care about service. The food is quite good given the face it does not have competitors.

Amazing ethnic chinese food. Excellent prices and rich taste. The inside is much better decorated than its vaguely warehouse-looking storefront.

Overpriced poor quality food, also poor service. Prob worst Chinese restaurant Ive been to with the exclusion of 2 takeout places.
