This place could be a lot better. The facade makes it look like something straight out of Compton, but the owner is very nice. As nice as he my seem, he needs to hone his English skills. I am a deaf vegetarian. I walk inside, only to see a menu with meaty options, and the phrase, "Vegetarian Options Available. " A gentleman wants to help me, and I tell him that I am deaf. I also pull out a pen, and a pad for him to write down his questions; instead, he kept rambling on and on about something, I repeat my introduction, and tell him why the pad is there; he still didnt understand, and I walked out.

Best sandwich in town. Very limited menu, but that being said they focus on what theyre good at. Service is wonderful as well. I caught them as they were about to close and and they let me in and explained that they only had enough for one sandwich though i wanted two. I got the one and she cut it in half with apologies that they were running low. Simply wonderful. The place isnt much to look at, but the food is amazing. Best Bahn-Mi youll find for at least 300 miles (almost worth the drive too).

A really nice lady who bakes a perfect crunchy baguette with tons of fresh meat and veggies inside for $5. Better than most of the bahn mi joints in LA. Its taste brought back all my good memories of crunching street bahn mis in Vietnam, its just so authentic and absolutely delicious!! Im glad to see this small city of Syracuse has this hidden gem and Darwins, both of them provide simple but perfect lunch with really nice services, 10/11 would come back.

Great little hidden gem. If it werent for a coworker I would have never known this place exists. They keep it simple with only a few choices for food, but the banh mi sandwiches are delicious and you cant beat the price. $5 for a fresh made banh mi is such a good deal. Services is great, pretty quick for a one person operation and they are always very nice. #3 is my go to, I recommend it.

Best bahn mi in central NY. The place is very simple and there are only three things on the menu but when they do them so well how can you complain? Ive eaten here there depredate times and have tried bahn mi from different places and nobody measures up to here. I recommend the third sandwich spicy.

this is one of the few places that provide a unique dining experience in syracuse. even though, sadly, its expanded its menu the original bahn mi is still amazing. theyve done a lot to make the inside more dining friendly, i suppose, but i have loved reading there in every incarnation

This is what its about as a foodie... Finding an authentic place. The best banh mi ! Dont overlook it. A simple exterior and an interesting ( but neat and tidy interior ). There are only a few items on the menu, they do those few items right.

Best sandwiches in Syracuse! She offers several varieties of Vietnamese Bahn Mis for only $5 a pop. This place is a must for locals and visitors alike! Do yourself a favor and buy two when you go here, you wont regret it!
