The Franklin square area of the city is not an area known for its restaurants. Although there is a steakhouse that is always changing names in the old Romans and Spaghetti Warehouse right around the corner, Boulangerie is the areas best kept secret. With an array of gourmet sandwichs and daily specials, boulangerie has something for everyone. While their menu is limited to the deli fare their food is far from average. In addition to the usual condiments and toppings you will find delicious twists in all areas of their sanwichs, wraps and salads. The prices are fair and so are the portions. Enough to satisfy but not so much to make you sick, Boulangerie is the place to try and will soon you will be recommending it to your friends. Only bad thing is that parking during peak hours is limited as many workers in the vicinity hit this local hot spot for lunch. Try the # 7 special and you will not be disappointed.

The customer service is terrible, employees are usually gruff and not very personable. This is based on multiple experiences personally, as well as from other co-workers. The atmosphere is ok. However be warned, the ventilation lacks and you will leave smelling like the restaurant (not in a good way). The prices are rather high for their food, $7-8 per sandwich. Its unfortunate, because the sandwiches are pretty good with interesting combinations, like turkey with cranberry mayo, or roast beef with apple slices. However, the sandwich quality is about all they have going for them. Bottom line, as another reviewer has said, even though most of us work in the immediate area (walking distance), we usually opt to drive to other restaurants instead.

The staff here are EXTREMELY rude and inconsiderate. Beyond that, working nearby, I ate here sporadically, and found a huge, dead, in-tact fly in my roast beef sandwich. I brought it back to them, asked for my money back, showed them the fly, and was told they check everything and this isnt their fault. Only after telling them that I certainly did not open my sandwich and have a fly fly in and die on it, did they only reimburse me for the sandwich, not the full lunch I paid for. The staff was very rude, leaned over and got in my face about this, and again told me this wasnt their fault. Additionally, their prices are outrageously expensive, and again...flies in their food.

I’m not sure what some of these other reviewers are referring too about rude staff; they’ve always been friendly and personable. As for the food, there are some very unique sandwiches you won’t find anywhere else and every one I’ve tried is delicious. I work close by and eat their 2-3 times a week. For people complaining about prices, its 2016, try and go to Panera without dropping $12 on lunch. You get what you pay for, an $8 whole sandwich with roast beef, bacon, cheese and apple slices is fair. I highly recommend the raspberry shortbread cookies, their freeking amazing.

The food is usually okay (except for the one time I got a bad case of the runs after eating there), but the prices are pretty high for what it is. Theyre sandwiches. Thats it. Charging $8 is a little absurd. My office is within walking distance of Boulangerie, which is great when our lunch break is only 30 minutes long -- but many of us still prefer to drive a few blocks away to Subway or other establishments with more-reasonable prices.

I went today and had the #1 tuna with sliced pear on sourdough the combination of flavors were wonderfully put together and delectable. I had a fear that the bread would be doughy but it was perfectly textured not to hard or too soft. My only regret was I didnt see the tomato and cucumber salad in the case before paying for a bag of chips.

The staff here has ruined an otherwise great sandwich shop. I will never return. Foul language in front of customers, a generally apathetic attitude, and just basically EXTREMELY rude, three times Ive been and its always the same. If the owners have any sense theyd fire the guys that work the mornings and restaff. DONT GO HERE.

Service at this place is consistently terrible. One time I ordered an egg sandwich and they forgot the egg. The people working behind the counter are always miserable. The food is bad, portions are small and very expensive. The only thing this place is good for is recommending it to people you dont like.

Called one day before to order the office party platter for my staff. The guy on the phone couldnt have been nicer and had my order ready at 9AM when I came by to collect it. The food was delicious and plentiful. Made party planning easy! Sally Fedrizzi Vagabond Tour and Travel

Rude staff, small portions for a high price. Id give them 2 stars for the options they offer, but one of the older employees actually snarled at me after I ordered a sandwich sans lettuce. Really terrible atmosphere, wont be eating here again.

They have a large menu of unique sandwiches. This place is great for a work lunch. They are fast and the sandwiches are made with quality ingredients. The prices are good, about $6 for a large sandwich.

The food was good, I was in a rush and there was a line which took a little longer than expected, after eating the sandwich I know why again the food was good worth the wait.
